@gosk8n We have private schools in Italy too: they tell you that they will teach you studying methods with tutors so that you can succeed at school, but since you pay even if you can attend exams in public schools the versions of such exams are different from the official ones because you have paid them lots of euros, so you will definitely pass this exam even if you haven't understood some concepts: such private schools make special agreements with the commission that's going examine you
So, if Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert were included in the Death line-up for some period, can I consider Cynic a side-project of Death, as they expand many concepts of Death?
@Jimbengoz No, because Cynic was around a while before those two joined with Chuck. I wouldn't be suprised if them playing in Death did have an effect on the metamorphosis of Cynic's sound to what it was on "Focus" though.
This, my friends is music perfection. This trascends the genre of Death and Thrash metal into a new realm, Chuck's realm. I didnt like DM until i heard this, great lyrics, great music, great vocals this is perfect music. RIP CHUCK, you are missed.
No, Judas Priest's "Dissindent Aggressor" does. No one has mateched that riff and it came out in 1977. "Flattening of Emotions" defines Death Metal and what it would be after it was heard by people other than the people who recorded it.
@gosk8n Because school is all complete bullshit, along with the education system in general, atleast in the UK. You learn what they want to learn, then get thrown out into the world with no real understanding of anything around you. If you want to learn anything, then you'll only find the answers by searching for them yourself.
@gosk8n Yes, good schools are private in your country, much like public health, and you have to pay the real big bucks if you want to have a quality of life that seems somehow nice
@pottedsalad That's the same in Italy, where school is useful only to select the social class in which you will live according to the votes you get, that will determine your future votations in the exams
Today, is the 10 th anniversary of Chucks passing. Such a shame that such a legend died so young. His talent shall truly be missed, and we all hope that he's shredding out some awesome music somewhere else.
I cannot imagine what he could of released in the last 10 years if he was still alive, there would be no doubt that his skill would of improved even more, which is mesmerizing to think about.

@BryanGordons Death sounds nothing like metallia in anyway. Your comparing mainstream rock artists to an death metal band thats means more to the underground than anything.
@FirePower3006 The mix does sound similar though- and what's with the elitism? Chuck wouldn't want that shit. Metallica was one of Chuck's influences after all. Not everything has to be bad blood and it's gotten terribly cool to hate Metallica these days. I don't give a shit what they do any more- I respect them. Even if I don't particularly like a lot of their new stuff. And sorry to break it to you- Death is extremely popular in metal circles- rightly so- they are hardly underground.
@InstinctualJealousy Metallica wasn't really a influence to death at all, his main influence was possessed, hence him hearing them for the first time and saying to his band mates "we have to sound like that" and he also loved slayer and kiss and more progressive metal bands as well.
@FirePower3006 Actually Chuck was indeed influenced by Metallica, which he stated himself, as well as Slayer, Possessed etc. also New Wave Of British Heavy Metal bands, like Maiden etc. Later he got into more progressive stuff which also shows in his music so yeah.
@FirePower3006 I am just talking about the sound man and more particulary the guitar one. don't be offended. and by the way compared to that "...and justice for all" sounds more underground and less produced due to its lack of bass ! cheers !
@BryanGordons Yea I guess, but still metallica was with BOB ROCK, who is suppose to be a good producer but all metallica albums after the black album sounded like complete shit because both the music and the awful guitar sound. Really though I think if it weren't for bob rock metallica probably wouldn't suck like they do now.
This is my first time listening to this song. My band mates wanted to cover it. Killer song. Don't worry guys. I am also a fan of Schuldiner, I have ITP, Symbolic and The Fragile Art of Existance.
@pottedsalad no kidding, im a drummer and just listening to death makes my head spin. death metal nowadays is just speed pedaling, from the songs by death ive heard almost every style of music crammed into one song. its amazing
@DakkstarDarkling I'd recommend to get all of Deaths albums, you are missing lots. Go back way before Symbolic my friend, you will fall in love with their first albums as well. My favorite all time band. Lyrics, music and just the talent you will find. You will want to trash your Slipknot and Disturbed albums LOL.
@BajaFreddy Thanks for assuming I like slipknot and disturbed. Appreciate that greatly.
Scream Bloody Gore was trite, Spiritual Healing was alright, but the mixing and the vocals were awful, Leprosy was overrated. Symbolic was kind of weak too. Individual Thought Patterns was the first album Death released that showcased just how much of a genius Schuldiner was. But it also helped that he finally had a lineup that could do it.
@DakkstarDarkling Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a prick with that... Death is one of my favourite bands of all time, but like all bands there are some weak albums.
@DakkstarDarkling everything you just said was nothing but your opinions. Who are you to judge anything by Death your a no body shut up. and I marked you for spam just for that dumb comment
@JayT851 Of course it was my opinion. Who are you to judge me? You're just a nobody. I'll mark you as ignorant for the fact you got butthurt that someone doesn't share the same opinion.
This song kicks so much ass!! Death remembers me of the winter, feeling cold, chills upon my spine, etc. Guitars there at 1:37 make it special, kind of feeling I can't explain. I remember going to college by bus, listening to this on my old and broken portable cd player... good fucking times.
@666x666Slipknotx Hey i'm a big Death fan and all but why is Chuck Schuldiner always getting the credit for creating Death Metal? I think he paved the way and influenced a lot of bands, but look back in time more and see who influenced Chuck. Not one person in this world created Death Metal.. and Chuck couldn't do everything by himself in his early years. He even admitted it in an interview. Don't try to troll me or anything but it's true. I wish more people could realize that.
Any negativity towards Chuck on this video will be deleted, also, feel free to post your band stuff, it isn't fucking spam its spreading the scene. RIP CHUCK.
@pottedsalad i don't understand how anyone could have negative word woward chuck in any way anyhow. chuck and death both kick ass. very talented and inspirational.
@furyfigueroa1753 regardless of God's (thats what I call Chuck) preference, he was a badass dude who liked to smoke a lil grass and play some fuckin brutal metal. STFU and listen to the music
@furyfigueroa1753 Wait.. You called Chuck Schuldiner a "fag" because he gave you a boner from his "bisexuality" that you keep babbling about. That makes you bisexual you confused ape, go back to Tennessee, with your kind.
@furyfigueroa1753 uh...did you just say Chuck was gay? I'm pretty sure he wasn't, from everything I've ever heard about him all I know of his 'love life' was that he had a girlfriend...
Please check a Death/Black band which is very good in my channel called Dusk Chapel I try to advertise them to make them famous because noone knows how to listen to great music nowadays... It's one from the rare bands like Death and the father of Death Metal and master musician Chuck Schuldiner that make all the songs of one album masterpieces and not just one or two songs... Here is a sample: watch?v=Kawf4mTM6qI. Copy paste on google as it is or on the address bar of youtube Spread the word!
@furyfigueroa1753 lol..oh yeah is that right tough guy.....chuck didnt die from aids douche....have some fuckin respect. chuck was a good dude, maybe he was gay..idk...i dont get into death to discuss chucks sexuality, i listren to chuck cuz he fuckin rocks. if you wanna go and call someone a fag, go to biebers page.
@furyfigueroa1753 Well...is it a conspiracy of some kind? Do you know what happened? All I know is what I read. While I have seen Death over 10 times and knew Chuck when we were kids, I wasn't around at the end. I've exchanged a few emails with his sister and stuff, but have never heard anything but what everyone else has heard about the brain cancer which ended with pneumonia (I believe). Well...it's probably best to leave it alone anyway, don't ya think?
@furyfigueroa1753 ...well...that one I have heard before. Hellifiknowanythingaboutit. Dude was always cool to me, but maybe I'm cute. We used to shop at the same used record store back in the 80's. I'm not buying it though. So Death was full of homosexuals is what you are saying? Nah!!! Death...Pull the Plug...Left to DIE??? You sure, brother? Nahhh. You are high! If it is true, I don't wanna hear about it anyway.
@MPetrozzaIsGod my uncles best friend /drummer in his band used to be in a band with sean reiner, the band was aghora.and sean is gay to he lives with his boy friend!
@NIch43 I will try brother....I'm old. Hell, even computers are new to me in most respects. If I was feeding a troll, I get you 100%. It truly is hard as hell to find people here that actually know and like metal. If you'd like, sub to a couple of channels: "SurvivedAbortion1" has an awesome anti-poser channel. The dude is old like me but his channel is pretty cool and will give you a laugh here and there. Also check out "AGNTthrasher". Both channels rock! Metal Brothers Unite!
When this album first came out I thought, wow...this is going to bring Death metal (in general) to a new level. - I feel like Chuck layed a path for other bands to follow...very ground breaking material. - R.I.P Chuck
PATHOLOGIST (r.i.p.) official VHS from 1995 on our profile !!! you won't find that nowhere else on youtube !!! their debut opus from 1992 has been released on 12''LP in 2011 !
holey fuck look at these faggot comments. "My friends don't understand me" "I'm so grateful for youtube i can connect with other metal head who like good music" "this one time me and my cousin touched penises" Shut the fuck up faggot poser losers. No-one cares about your social life. One of death's albums was individual thought patterns, not i need validation for my beliefs.
@xXcontrolldeniedXx Dude, you were so tr00 and br00tal with that comment and your xXxXxXxXxXcontrolldeniedXxXxXxXxXx username and shitty profile. You're the poser, quit bitchin'.
I need to share this song with someone, speakers maxed out so I can shout, "THIS IS WHAT SEX FEELS LIKE!!!! THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO IN BED RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!!!" I'm not gonna lie, l almost jizzed my pants the first time I heard this song.
All those good comments are understatements. It shouldn't be allowed to try to define Schuldiner's work with words, his music is beyond the human capacity to describe things.
@Mephisto2913 dude i totally agree, im 15 and most people at my skool listen to all new music n shit, but i have quite a few friends that listen to same music i do, dude maybe u should come to my skool O:

@furyfigueroa1753 Wait.. You called Chuck Schuldiner a "fag" because he gave you a boner from his "bisexuality" that you keep babbling about. That makes you bisexual you confused ape, go back to Tennessee, with your kind.

@furyfigueroa1753 ur a fag bro...chuck makes bitches jealous, why do you think he wrote jealousy...people like you.
KhaosOdensland 5 months ago
@furyfigueroa1753 Well...is it a conspiracy of some kind? Do you know what happened? All I know is what I read. While I have seen Death over 10 times and knew Chuck when we were kids, I wasn't around at the end. I've exchanged a few emails with his sister and stuff, but have never heard anything but what everyone else has heard about the brain cancer which ended with pneumonia (I believe). Well...it's probably best to leave it alone anyway, don't ya think?

@MPetrozzaIsGod yea thats why im not going to name all the homosexuals i the band there were a few....
furyfigueroa1753 6 months ago
@furyfigueroa1753 ...well...that one I have heard before. Hellifiknowanythingaboutit. Dude was always cool to me, but maybe I'm cute. We used to shop at the same used record store back in the 80's. I'm not buying it though. So Death was full of homosexuals is what you are saying? Nah!!! Death...Pull the Plug...Left to DIE??? You sure, brother? Nahhh. You are high! If it is true, I don't wanna hear about it anyway.

Metal Brothers Unite!

holey fuck look at these faggot comments.

All those good comments are understatements. It shouldn't be allowed to try to define Schuldiner's work with words, his music is beyond the human capacity to describe things.
