I cant open thge Command board I press Alt Gr and the ¨ key. I have a WIndows Vista LAptop. ~ Thats what shows up when i press Alt Gr ¨ Nothing happens ingame:(/

@Pulkadrage I'm not so sure for Vista, earlier battlefield games sometimes do not work as they suppose to be on vista and Win 7. You should check your settings.

@Pulkadrage What I'm saying is that you should check your options or settings menu and see what the key to open console command is from there. You can also change the key to something else for convinience.

@grooveyfeel it's the one you open with the ~ (tidle) key. They'll show you basically a log of the kills and events for the round. A server (or anyone with such previlage) can also use it to input command such as those you saw on the video to alter the gameplay. If you are a client however, you'll have some restriction accessing and using this feature (the simplest measure against cheating of course).

the most common mistake is usually typing error. Make sure you entered it correctly (down to spaces and capitalization).

Sometimes, for unknown reasons I cannot use the free camera mode as well, I simply restart the round or the game.

what if you have unresitered fraps and it still doesn't work. As in i post all of the 30 sec into Windows Movie Maker and edit the annotations and effects and upload to youtube but mine blacks out on YouTube check out the video! it totally blacks out and then nothing happens for a minute or so. please help me.

dude i bought BF2 :D but for some r eason it shows that little logo thingy (like in BF1942) and turns to a black screen...then turns back into my regular computer screen...what do i do?

that means your VGA card isn't supported, the only solution would be to buy a new one (Nvidia cards works best)

hey on my old computer i could open console with ~ but now i cant and i have 64bit vista. i had xp last time. in battle field 2 i can open it with the END key but i can't do it in 1942 please help!

Yeah, I've heard that quite a few times, but I don't know what to do since BF1942 is meant for XP and below. Those with Vista would encounter such problem with older BF games.

useless if you want to ask him, he wont open up youtube for a year. And there are no way to disable to hide the names. Use some kind of modding

to tell you the truth, there isn't any, I've asked more 'senior' (or so I thought) BF machinimators, and they said the same...

unless of course you're the kind that goes inside the files to the tiniest code and modded it somehow....

i have tried to type HUD 0 and hud 0 in the console command! but didn't woork! HELLLLP!

1. Make sure the typing is correct, sometimes you can easily make mistake like 'hid 0' or 'hjud 0' since the keys are close to each other.

2. The space is exactly one between 'hud' and '0', more, it won't work

If this doesn't work, tell me, since it works for me. maybe you can try without space. I'll see if the second (w/o space) or first (w space) works, then I'll make a correction if necessary.

I've tried it in BFV and works. So? Problem must've been on your game (or comp). Note: in BF2/2142, the command is DIFFRENT, HUD 0 WON'T WORK.
