I can understand why Japan attacked the US because they cut of it's oil, the US sent military ships to protect the oil during the Iran-Iraq war, they helped Kuwait because of their oil, the only thing they cared to protect was the Ministary of oil in the Iraq war. and then Libya. And what would the US do if Saudi Arabia said no more oil for you well Saudi Arabia would be invaded. So I can understadnd why japan did it (that's not saying it was right)

@FilipH86 It's fine to acknowledge the strategic importance of attacking Pearl Harbor for Japanese imperial interests, but you have to understand that it was that Japanese imperialism that led to the oil embargo against them in the first place. Japan refused to end their undeclared war against the Chinese and withdraw troops from Indochina and the Chinese mainland so Roosevelt responded by cutting off their oil. Japanese imperialism started the war.

they didn't, that was just one way they got soldiers there. They mostly transported them using their feet or trucks. But before that, they had bombarded the German airfields in Berlin so they couldn't have any planes to attack with, then continued the bombard the rest of the city using shelled and rocket artillery.

@Madara2233 The Spanish were in a civil war at the time and Hitler decided to make peace with one side so that he could test his weapons. Thats why he was able to conquer Europe so fast, his weapons had been already been tested in combat.

Wrong. 16 million is just the amount of people only served in the Wehrmacht, this also includes people that may join up recently in war, and not including the casualties. What?! Wrong, Hitler became obsessed with Russia, which was why he sent most of his forces to the Eastern front to capture Moscow before Winter, and failed at Stalingrad. Also, your information CONTRADICTS what most european historians say that Russia was the one that inflicted 80 percent of German losses.

What? Where are u getting these statistics? Germany only placed 1.5 million on the western front, which makes sense since Russia was more on Hitler's agenda at that time. The Eastern front, combined with other Axis powers equaled up to 4 million soldiers on the east.

It wouldn't. Even without America and the Britain, the Russia counterattack would have brought the Axis, at least Germany to it's knees. The Russians inflicted 90 percent of the casualties to the Wehrmacht, because Hitler placed most of his forces on the East side. The forces on the west that the British/USA had to face weren't that strong.
