I live in Bossier Parish and know several members of Operation Exodus. The media has misinterpreted the entire program. Actually instead of countys, Louisiana is the only state that calls their divisions "parishes". So it's land and not a church.

Ironically, arts that emphasize "reality" tend to drift into fantasy (i.e. "We're so real we can't practice our techniques without maiming you, so let's paw at the air instead."), and KM sometimes falls into this trap. I have heard extremely positive things about some schools, but usually they had a BJJ/MT/boxing program to supplement the KM.
I wouldn't make KM my first choice, but it's not the worst either. If they have a fight team, they might be a good school.
