Animals don't spawn anymore. They are generated when new chunks get generated and stay there forever until killed. You have to breed them now if you want more.

@Droopal No, what you do is make it 4 wide, then dig 1 down in front of the water, so it doesn't flow into the lava, but the lava flows into it.

Anyways, if water flows into stationary lava it becomes Obsidian.

If water flows into regular lava that is a lavafall (for e.g.) it will become cobblestone...

6 minutes into the skyblocks videos and I allready know where you went wrong with the cobble stone generator.. You let your water touch the lava source block. The trench should have been 5 blocks long.. Correct me if I'm wrong, or don't.

No cooked food or furnaces for them! And btw, when water hits a lava source block, it converts it to obsidian. When water stream hits lava stream it creates cobble.
