It is very detailed and lots has to do with your set up for recording etc and tools you have available to restore the recording. What are you currently using?
Such a fine record...one of the best vocal records of the era. Nice little band there with Jane, as well...most likley the great Mike Mosiello on trumpet. Love the trombone passage with a sort of tango rhythm!
when i was a kid the neighbors gave me a bunch of 78's from the 1920's i played this one over and over love it .have not heard it in years , thanks so much
Next to Lee Morse, Jane's my favorite songbird. They both have expressive and unmannered ways of getting into a song. I also applaud the quality of this recording; it sounds super-clean, like it was recorded yesterday...
Belle Baker is my favorite but Jane is a close second. Thanks for the compliment on the sound. I have recently found a method for restoring these old 78's that I am happy with.
Thank you for posting this! Jane's one of my favorite Vintage Songbirds. Also, this recording sounds great! Lee Morse is my favorite, but Jane's hot on her heels; an endearing quality of both singers is how expressive they are and how natural and unmannered their approach is.

Jane did a great job on everything she recorded, too bad she left us so little. Thanks for watching!

I am glad dear, as Jane would say. She must have known you because she likes calling him dear too.

Did you hear that banjo too?

One of my long-time favorites. I'd take it to a desert island with an orthophonic Victrola, cactus needles, and (of course) a sharpener.

Amazing the sound on those orthophonics and you really could take it to a desert isle and play it.

Jane is one of my top 5 1920's singers. She could really sing with the music so well.
