A sad life but a glorious one. This was the first real documentary I heard about Kenneth and was hooked ever since. It's odd but he somehow sums up life with all its thwarted ambition, tragedy and also dark humour. Through all his moods though shines a great personality and a real character, totally English and a truly unique man.

I wish someone would put up 'Comic Roots' where Kenneth took you round his old haunts in Marylebone. I haven't seen that since I was a kid. It was up here once but the cunts took it off!
