First off he believes in redistribution of wealth. People who don't pay taxes will be given money, or people that just have a pulse will be given money from someone who has worked there ass off to get that money. This is a form of welfare. Second, Obama says he will provide tax cuts for the middle class, but I guarantee he will do the opposite because it's economically impossible to get the money he needs for all his promises without raising taxes.
Wrong, thats just not true. I really don't know what else to say. Second, he is raising taxes on rich people a lot. People that make more than 2.9 million get rocked. He also taxes big business more than McCain. And don't give me this crap about taxing job creators. The fact is, McCain and Bush see eye to eye on most issues, and taxes are one of them. How is Bush's plan working out for America?

Since when are taxes considered "stealing"? I would GLADLY pay higher taxes if it meant that when I'm 65 or 70 I can actually RETIRE and no longer have to drag my bones to work. I would GLADLY pay higher taxes if it meant that people less fortunate could get decent health care for their kids. So if you are not after somone elses money, then put that money in a retirement account. The return on contributions to Social Security right now are 1.23% APR and are likely to get worse. IMO the change we need is toward independence, being personally responsible for the things we can do for ourselves.

I think if Obama is serious about his energy independence initiatives, it could create a great many jobs and exceptionally quick.
Obama seems more serious and focused than McCain on this issue, as McCain rarely mentions more immediate solutions like solar power and retooling, but rather touts 10-20 year projects like more drilling, which will have little effect on job creation and won't do much to actually change the situation, but just keep it at bay until that our resources runs dry.

There's a city in Orange County, California near Cota de Caza and Mission Viejo called Ladera Ranch and it was built around 2000 and 80% of all the homes were built with solar panels. The homes sell for $500,000 for a 3 bedroom condo to over $6 million.
It's really an old idea and Obama didn't invent energy independence initiatives.

That's a no return investment. Did I have a choice? Of course I did. I choose to buy from corporations, I choose to invest in big business, and you're right, I could CHOOSE to "live off the land."
