  • Wow Reeve is the only man that can out run Miss Piggy while she is in fan girl mode.

  • who was the announcer for the Veterinarian's Hospital Sketch?

  • mmm has anyone noticed that, had Christopher Reeve gone also into comedy full-time, he'd have a style probably just like Steve Martin? (the timimg, the dead-pan delivery, and then vaudeville humor, it's just as amazing...! =) then again he's classically-trained so he could do just about anything. just an observation.

  • Out of Dean Cain, Tom Welling, or Brandon Routh who do you think Christopher Reeve's would have given the thumbs up to as the next Superman?

  • @Jamescs007 Dean Cain!! Yes, Chris guest starred on Smallville(Tom's show), but I think he would've liked Dean's version better. Tom's the only one to refuse to wear the outfit except the last/finale epi.

  • @catwoman0125 Seriously? Tom Welling signed up years ago to play one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, but he refused to wear the iconic costume? What the HELL? That's like playing the Joker and refusing to wear makeup!

  • @ztslovebird umm you didn't see Tim Burton's Batman or the Dark knight have you. While those scenes were brief they did show a fair skinned Joker.

  • @Shanethefilmmaker I never said that there wasn't a Joker that lacked fair skin. I'm just saying that the Joker's appearance requires a lot of makeup. And any actor who signs on to play a live-action Joker but refuses to wear the makeup necessary to actually LOOK like a Joker is as ridiculous as any actor signing on to play a live-action Clark Kent/Superman but refusing to wear the iconic cape and tights. Like Tom Welling.

  • @Jamescs007 Well The answer would be Between Welling and Routh. For Welling because Reeve's Last TV role was guest starring in Smallville and in a way passed the Torch. While Routh's acting and appearence (debatable) reminds us of Reeve's performence.

  • Dr. Bob (Rowlf the Dog) finally got a taste of his own medicine in this episode. Probably be a lot funnier if one of his previous patients come back to operated on him as an act of revenge after surviving an unsuccessful surgery he have performed on him.

  • lol, Superman as a Muppet guest star! He can really hold his own with these guys!

  • Reeve was one of those rare humans that could actually pull off cartoony acting like this. Awesome.

  • Kid shows were better back then. They had jokes for the adults too.

  • @Mrpastry909

Actually, The Muppet Show were never officcially a kids show for Jim Henson, it was an adult show!

  • @Mrpastry909 The Mupppet show was Prime time baby... adults and kids.

  • lets go to the nurses' lounge and...loungeeeeeee!:P

  • Miss Piggy: You're leaving?

Reeve: Faster than a speeding bullet

    LOL!

  • I love how when Miss Piggy yells out I Love You, Christopher Reeve says Thank you!! So cute!!

  • Great reference to Superman at the end.

Shame that Christopher Reeve is no longer with us.

  • Oh, Christopher Reeve, I miss you! T-T

  • He was funny, talented and gorgeous. He was Superman.

  • why did the actors like christopher and george reeves died in their 50s

  • i didn't know Chris was funny XD may he R.I.P

  • Miss Piggy does realize he's married, doesn't she?

  • @muppetfan33 Well I geuss so!

  • @muppetfan33 Now she does, but back then she did not.

  • Anybody know they releasing the entire Muppet Show on DVD or blu ray?

  • @kidfelix First 3 seasons are on DVD, season 4 is unknown whether it'll be released.

  • @TyVBuccaneer

the official website said last year but that (obviously) was complete bs.

  • @queenandcorgis Plus what has been released is not actually the original uncut episodes, some had songs removed due to licensing issues (also some backstage scenes leading up those songs)

  • Poor chris... he really didn't deserve to have his accident.

  • he can never be replaced. what a wonderful man.....

  • "Faster than a speeding bullet...."

For THAT ALONE, this earns a save from me.

Superman and the Muppets together...v I think my childhood has been restored. another gist from our long last friend.

Thanks Chris. You Maybe gone, but never forgotten

  • @Shenruss I totally agree!! That was too hilarious!!

  • @synthiamiller AND he did the VOICE , TOO!

    YOU ARE AMAZING!

  • i love how jim was able to make it for kids (with the puppets and cutness) and adults (with the jokes and sketchs)

  • i got to get this dvd collection from target. i love this scene. im laughing so hard im crying.

  • "Never say fixed to a dog!"

And I love it when Piggy shouts "I LOVE YOU!"

Ah, Chris, we still miss you.

  • Christopher reeve the only guest star that could out run miss piggy

  • This is how I like to remember Reeve. In his prime, full of humor, all the while still staying classy. Miss Piggy had great taste flirting with him! :)

  • Chris really was a good actor, wasnt he? Doesnt seem right that he shouldve gotten paralyzed like that

  • I could watch these all night....

  • Rowlf: What kind of doctor are you anyway?

    Chris: I'm a GP.

Miss Piggy: For "gorgeous person"! I would have to agree with her.

  • What season/dvd is this episode on? I like this episode with Reeve. Great memories. He'll always be Superman. RIP Chris.

  • @hulkster46a It's episode 418 (season 4, episode 18)

  • Yes, Christopher Reeve was Superman.

  • he was SO good looking it almost hurts to look at him!

  • Ms Piggy liked Chris Reeve? lol

  • I didn't get the "never say fixed to a dog" joke when I was younger. And it's funny how he keeps pushing Rolf into lying down, isn't it?

  • Hahaaa fabulous... RIP Chrissy...

  • Good thing he DIDN'T go with Kermit's g/f--or else he'd be known as the "Man of STEAL".

  • *rimshot*

    Rofl :D

  • he looks gorgeus

  • Man he's fantastic...

  • RIP Christopher Reeve :(

  • jeje, es muy gracioso cuando pegy grita que lo ama, yo haría lo mismo en su lugar jaja.

  • Hehe "Faster than a speeding bullet" :3 He know how to leave a show. To bad he got into those bad accidents.

  • ...and later when Piggy karate chops him we get to see that he's "more powerful than a locomotive."

The only thing we didn't get to see was "able to leap tall buildings in a single bound."

  • "never say put tu sleep to a dog"

    XDXDXD

  • i love when piggy screams i love u !! this was too cute, or in this episode she calls him chrissy lol

  • rofl

  • Man, I miss Chris Reeve.

  • @HookedOnSonics518 I miss Christopher Reeve, too! I can still remember watching this episode when it first aired, too!

  • "uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"

  • I like the jokes meant for the adults watching this with kids, like the "setting a precedent on the show" and "never say fixed to a dog."

  • this was one of the funniest Vet Hospitals

  • "faster than a speeding bullet."

  • oooooooooooooh...

  • "I'm not trying to get laughs,I wouldn't want to set a precedent."
