I am on Firefox 12 with the nightly channel... It still seems the same. I think that all of the new releases are really just their way of leveling up in the version number... We will have IE9 while Firefox will have FF12... it's just in name not in progress.

For me, the only appealing thing about Firefox is all the add-ons. However, most add-ons I need are in the Chrome Webstore. My favorite thing about Chrome is Chrome Sync (or whatever it's called). My laptop conked out on me a few weeks back and it was so relieving that I didn't have to reinstall all me extensions, apps, and re-add my bookmarks.

my guess would be to check the internet connections settings... make sure everything is alright there, no proxy settings by mistake, etc..

@satamique Most of my Add-Ons worked when i updated, but a few didn't. It depends on what browser you are using. De-Install Firefox 5, and a option should say "Keep my history and Add-ons (Something like that)". After you have Uninstalled it, go to another browser and get Aurora. During the installation of Aurora it will tell you which Add-Ons are compatible and which are not. Hope this helps :)

Everyone was saying Firefox 6 was a massive improvement over 5... but well, it's more or less the same for me and it's still a ridiculous memory hog. I really hope Firefox 7 is improved and hope they get these add-ons in order, I'm tired of losing compatibility for them each version for no real reason.

i find that Firefox with a few about:config tweaks is really fast. chrome is fast at first but gets slower for me over time. i still don't like how chrome handles downloads and addons and some addons that i use just aren't there yet. it also doesn't have color management. surfing the web with a high gamut monitor on chrome shows harsh colors.

most of web designers prefer Firefox because you see the web pages has they are intended too, Chrome, Explorer, Opera, are all good but they still have a few bugs and can not get some special scripts

@AdolphX I'm a web designer and I prefer Chrome. All browsers have bugs, but Chrome is fast and doesn't have any trouble running any scripts. Safari and Chrome are the best browsers out there, they're based behind Webkit which is more powerful than Firefox's Gecko engine. Internet Explorer is definitely the worst one out there.

They just think because of Firefox's version number is lower than Internet Explorer and especially Google Chrome, they're inferior.

i don't think the mozilla people necessarily think that. they think the public thinks that way, so they're dropping "new versions" more often to please those people. mozilla knows better than that, but most people don't. so their just doing that to create the illusion that their browser is more advanced than it really is....

@duncan33303 well not nice at all! because the new version of firefox does not support Google Toolbar anymore... which is very useful to people like me living abroad, because Google Toolbar has a LanguageTranslator Package that automatically translate text's.

That's why i did not use Firefox anymore since 4.0 version. and switch to Google Chrome I use Gaming PC anyway so no problem when it comes with speed... Nice vid
