when katie holmes moves her hip at 3:26 wow. Its amazing how a woman can move her hip from one side to another and make it seems like she just moved a mountain. I hope i am not the only one is this world that can appreciate the subtle movement in a womens nature can make me feel like nothing else matters.
I love this song from my youth but what I find hilarious is at the exact moment Adam says "we don't get no rougher" at 2:21 he flashes his awesome tramp stamp. That's...that's just so sad.
The 20th century was so much better than todays world of shitty presidents, high unemployment, crappy music and 6 billion idiots doing nothing but texting each other is pathetic by comparison
Oh, Man! This song brings back so much memories. You just have to fell this shit. I fruckin' love the double mics. I'm tryin' to incorporate it into my band. One mic clean the other with effects. Damn that is the sheet.
The video doesn't make alot of sense to me, but for a song like this it doesn't have to. It just has to match the song's energy, and this song has tremendous energy.
Sadly, after this video was made Katie would be enslaved by the alien commander Xenu and his couch jumping minion in an attempt to breed a mighty army that will one day rule mankind and free us from all our negativity.
the grunge era, buggy jeans, doc martens, flannel shirt decade of music innovation, year of festivals loolapalooza, no decade much better than the 90's
I have seen this band live many times. They never got the commercial accolades they deserved and I'm not sure why...the guy at the car wash when I had my volmue as loud as it would go thought it was fucking great.....oh, well, I love them!
Damn december 19th 1998 is when this song came out it was #5 on the billboard charts. I just can't believe it's been 13 years since this song came out i was 10 years old and now im 23 man how the time fly's bye so fast. lol i remember getting up for school in the morning watching vh1 top 10 countdown and this video was #5.
Sigh........The 1990s......The last time when you didn't have to dig like an archaeologist to find great music. Here's to the last decade where classics were on the forefront. I really hope that another 90s style backlash against the plasticky 80's feel(although at least a lot of that music was pretty damn good too) will happen. One can only hope something to the equivalent of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or "Jeremy" could happen twice in a lifetime to change music for the better.
remember this when i was 12 this song came out classic 90' sound always had a crush on katie homles too shit now im 24 in college shit time flies get it
The guys from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's said the same thing. Love this song. But the Flies are one hit wonders. Won't stand the test of time like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Who, and U2.
Makes you wonder how far into the 2000's they would have lasted. Maybe it's better they stopped and are remembered as '90's' instead of becoming a sold out alt rock band.
WAIT, are the 90's over already? Wow that was quick, at least we have some good music. Young dipshits, don't worry, you'll be 30, "in the wink of a young girls eye" -Bruce Springstein, "Glory Days" reminscing.
@carsearch2001 Yep thats my music, even in the 90s.. I have glory days I was just blasting it in my house the other day.. you would actually be surprised of how many "kids" born in the 80s really like the 80s... ALL my friends born in the 80s know the music from when we were born.. but none of them were ever as into it as me, theres a few of us who don't follow that modern garbage.. if you look on my favourites list thats the music i've only ever listened to
Although The Flys were a one hit wonder, this song takes me back to remember an entire generation. The 90's trumped the 70's or 80's and was the last decade that could be associated with a style, a way of life, etc.. Music now-adays makes no sense, it sucks, and its expected due to the Internet coming in and destroying any motivation for great artists to express themselves. Cargo pants, chunky shoes, experimentation, and Alternative music, DAMN I miss the 90's!
@bobmarvin27 That isn't true(not completely, anyhow). Mainstream music sucks ass but it always has. There are SO many talented and inspired artists out there, they just aren't on the top 40 charts or being played on the radio. Check your local scene or even just surf youtube for a while. The internet has improved my ability to find good music exponentially. Blackmillmusic is a great example on youtube. He's just some kid but his music is a-FREAKIN-mazing (if you like dubient). +JNCOSFTW!!!!
@bobmarvin27 well bob i agree and a little disagree because up until 95 music was good like bjork beavis and butthead thats what was good about the 90s and nirvana stone temple poliets and most of the girl bands the 80s where really good with music the best the 90s yea with the red hot chilli peppers and sound garden great but the music now really sucks and a lot of it started from 95 on with the rap crap some was good but most sucked and was simple and shit like p daddy so yea and 70s great
@bobmarvin27 but i agree with you also about todays music now to be honest there is none the only thing good is one republic and foo fighters thats it real not into ugly girls on stage that look like death warm over lol do not want to mention names lady gaga ahh well yea mybe when i am 55 she may sound good but i am a foo fighter fan and its because the drum was in the best band to come out of the crazy 90s lol
@destructicon500 I agree with the question but I know that last part is bullshit.. There isn't plenty of good music when you have to dig like an archeologist to find only a few good songs... Back in these days in the 80s & 90s there was good music coming out all the time hit after hit I can name thousands of songs from every genre.. I can only name a few really good songs from this whole decade, 2000s music is just pitiful and boring as hell I hate it
Totally agree.. Except the part about music now-adays.. It's still good and their are still good artists it's all just went underground the last 20 yrs..
Internet has totally messed everything up music wise tho you're right.. No way the last 10-15 years have been as good as the prior 30-40.. :( Def one of my 90s anthems tho, love The Flys n long live the 90S!
@bobmarvin27 good grief preach it bro. i grew up during the 90s and the music was central to everything. I found a box of mixtapes when i was moving and got all sentimental and crap...such good stuff.
@TheAgentAssassin I guess it depends on what kinds of music you enjoy. I prefer modern prog over 70s prog. Dream Theater, Fates Warning and Queensryche hit their stride in the early 90s. I prefer the alt rock scene of the 90s over the 70s rock scene. I much prefer how much heavy metal developed in the 90s as to the very limited beginnings of the late 70s. No I dont consider 70s Sabbath metal. Not until they picked up Dio did they really become metal.
@TheAgentAssassin Tony did not invent metal. Tony helped influence metal. Barre chords are a big part of metal yes but they are not everything. I certainly would not go as far as saying they are the foundation all metal is based on. Nor was Tony the only person to use barre chords. You are reaching here with your statement.
@weirdscience85 The 90s was far better than the 70s as far as rock and heavy music is concerned. The 90s pushed the evolution of heavy metal far more than the 70s ever could have. As an avid metalhead Ill take the 90s over the 70s any day.
@weirdscience85 You are incorrect. You also make an assumption. One which is false. Most metalheads really? You obviously dont have a clue. I also lived in the 90s. I watched metal go back underground and watch extreme metal grow to what it is. I cant say the 90s was a big down hill from the 80s at all. Unless you loved that horrible trash called "hair metal". You know what happens when you ASSume right?
@weirdscience85 You are younger than I am. I dont think you know much about the 80s. Metalheads having pride in our music does not stem from misery. You are off base again. If you are not a metalhead you simply dont know. But I am far mor eclectic than a "metalhead". The 90s in rock and metal were just as innovative. Your statements have nothing to do with music and everything to do with your perception. Its not a way to judge music.
@Theenragedone Well I don't love metal but its good.. I just don't know a lot like you said.. but of course I know the 80s I have Aspergers Syndrome I remember being in a diaper so the 80s is my favorite time/and the early 90s.. I had the "chucky doll" in 1988, his name was Corky.. In 1989 I rented Moonwalker every weekend that year I also started school.. I had acid wash jeans with red suspenders, my favourite tv show was Pee Wee's Playhouse.. I was an 80s child just the youngest
Cargo pants, chunky shoes, experimentation, and Alternative music, holy fuck we had it going on.
rented this dvd when it came out ,this video was at end of credits and I thought it was a cool touch...but maybe it was katie thought she was next thing,, but then came tom

Cargo pants, chunky shoes, experimentation, and Alternative music, holy fuck we had it going on.
