Merkur Vision 2000 Surgery - Maintenance

I go back to the Merkur dealship every six months for a tune up and let them do it for me .I sit and wait and have a sandwich with gray poupon .

My vision gets gummed up with soap residue and eventually the adjustment ring stops working. I take it apart as shown here and soak it in boiling water and a little dish soap or oxyclean and it is good as new.

Great razor though.
