Although it would have been nice if Maddy went with Legs, but this was definitely the best ending :)

Anyway, I like how Legs actually had hope that Maddy would come. IMO, she shouldn't have expected her to drop everything and come, but she still seemed to think there was a chance. That was cool.

There is a sort of perfect symmetry, I think, between Legs coming in alone, building this group, and then moving on alone, I hope that in the future she found happiness and real home. Because of her the other girls will be ok now whereas before they may not have been, especially in the case of Goldie and the tall girl (I didn't know her name). I'd like to believe that Legs and Maddie would meet again at some point... Definietly a great movie, I'm going to go read the book now...

I honestly think what made this film the most beautiful was the ending, I mean really does everyone on here think she should have gone with her? Legs was what brought them together, she gave them a purpose and respect enough not to take shit from anyone but she had her own problems and would have ended up doing more damage than good if she'd stayed. I love the relationship between her and Maddie but I think it was right that Maddie stayed behind (even though it made me cry)

I liked this movie very much and I could understand almost everything they said, though I am not a native speaker.

The story is not difficult to understand and all the actors do well.. I think Angelina is best. Her roles are so well-chosen. Somehow this movie reminds me of 'Girl, Interrupted'.

And yes, the ending is very sad. I feel sorry for legs, but maybe it's better this way.

A lot of times as a screen writer the writer will leave it up to you to decide on what is what in the story. So when watching the movie it is how you feel not how other people felt in watching the film. In the book there are a lot of differences the girls are from troubled homes and poverty.

Legs took complete responsibility, and that look between them before they left the house, was Legs telling Rita to tell the cops it was LEG'S fault, that LEGS shot Goldie's dad. And that's why Legs hightailed it out of town, because she doesn't do well with cops and being locked up and she knew they'd come for her in the end. Next time pay attention before you talk crap.

Cool movie...thanks for the upload. I really didn't think this movie was gonna do anything for me at all, because I honestly didn't think it looked that interesting and I'm not a lesbian or anything. I am however, a bit of a fan of Angie, so I decided to watch this. I ended up thinking it was quite good, and I discovered the gorgeous song Into Dust by Mazzy Star because of this! I think that Legs wanted to purposely distance herself from the others, so she went way overboard on purpose with the kidnapping part. It was to make it easier on herself and on the other girls when she left; you see it often with them psychologically unstable types. :3
