  • Sounds like a squeaky old rattly XY Falcon! LOL

  • That's a good looking and sounding car

  • Im looking into buying a replica countach, any advice?

  • Now that's a bitchin' replica! It looks just like an original one:-)

  • too bad it sounds nothing like an actual countach... :( sounds more like a muscle car than anything.

  • Comment removed

  • How much did this cost? This looks so awesome!

  • Gorgeous car, I wish I understood kit cars more. Fuck I'd love a car like this

  • How much for it?

  • nice kit car

  • replicas just don't have that elegance and subtlety of lines when it comes to the front end.

  • @MORCOPOLO0817 Bot this one is not so bad. It might be one of those uk replicas that were created by making a mold of the original.

  • sounds like crap...a euro engine would sounds better....but very nice car

  • sorry i missed you when i was in NZ mate.

  • Wow, sounds absolutely horridly at idle, but really nice when the revs go up.

  • what price diffirent of original countach and replica???

  • It just doesn't sound right. I'd be embarrassed once it fired up. Everyone would know I was a poser.

  • what did you use basic vehicle? and which motor?

  • what did you use basic vehicle?

  • i'm in NZ in 4 weeks 16th till 19th sept.. any chance of a run ? Darren Sydney

  • @0409810537 . Hey bud send me an email address that I can reply to, but sure sounds good. I'll grab your details and see if we can meet up.

    Cheers

    Terence

  • @genecyzzle did you guys ever meet up?

  • @0409810537 im dying to know, did you guys ever meet up after all, and if you did how was it ?

  • @diamondrio21 it was raining and my flight was delayed, unfortunately i missed out... next time... and thanks again Terrence...

  • Transmicion you used this vehicle

    GREAT REPLICA!!!

  • @quadfx74 , renault 5 speed racing box

  • @genecyzzle it actually fits on the gm motor? with out rubbing the clutch?

  • damn.....

  • the replica is nice but sounds like a V8 which takes away from the joy :( lambos have a very unique sounding V12

  • still keep getting drawn back to look at this, time and time again. I am coming to NZ in Sept. you never know, i might get to see it in person !

  • very very nice

  • Whata hell?

Driveby clip where the driver drives within legal speed..

Come on, the purpose with the driveby clip is to hear the engine roar, not humm on low-rev.

Just like that you dont do a video with a Ferrari going by in 30mph, when the exhaust noise kicks in when the engine revs over 3-4000 rpm.

    but good video, absolutely.

  • what engine & transmicion used you??' great video

  • Darren still wants this ! Daily Driver.

Look and Sound amazing driving through Sydney streets.

  • this kit is simply AMAZING

  • Wow, very hard to tell the difference! What kind of engine is in there?

  • I still want this :-)

  • Looks like a quality build. Definitely sounds like a V8 Chevy though. Sounds a lot like my truck :)

  • finali... a good replica!

  • @imanoledp What good replica..V8 countach? Cmone get real.

  • if there could be a v12 for this car in order to sound a lil better . could it be a v12 bmw 850cci engine ¿¿ that v12 stock doesn't sound like a v12 but changing the cams and installing 180 º headers ,intake and a tune makes it sound incredible i would install that v12 if I had the money LOL because the body work is excellent but V8 sounds bad for that body

  • The lines on this car look authentic. Who makes the kit?

  • what transmicion use for this car???

  • awsome great job and beatiful car

  • any progress on the merci replica ?

i'd still like to talk to you about owning this when you upgrade.

    Darren.

  • sounds 2 v8 like for my liking

  • @Sexytime0mad There is nothing wrong with this car or a V8 in this car. This is hands-down THE BEST Countach replica I have seen on here. This guy has done some awesome work and it must be a real rush to own a car as beautiful and as accurate as this one.

  • is it only a v8?

spoe better on petrol if it is

  • 2:06 OMG , car with emotions

  • I'm still keen to own this car. I've got my feelers out for a Countess complete like this or in need of finish build. Darren. Sydney.

  • thats the real replica

  • OMG this thing is awesome!

  • To me it actually sounds pretty good for a GM 350 with a non stock cam <most likely.

  • A nice example of a good replica but why does it idle like that?

  • that is caused by using a "high performance camshaft". Sounds great.

  • if that was a replica car then its an amazing job , the exterior looks fantastic , the dimensions look like Countach's dimensions without mistakes , nice original rims , nice paint and so good looking....are you surre this isn't an authentic?

  • That one really looks like the real deal.......except for the sound......

  • I do not know why a replica looks like a replica.. :( and sounds like a replica as well.

  • I've allways wanted one! I am saving cash right now to build a replica :D

  • nice sound :D

  • There's something weird aboyut a v8 in a Countach, but it really sounds awesome and it looks great! 5/5!

  • sounds so badass

  • a mix of my two favorite car types.amazing.thing must run like a raped ape.

  • It goes like a mad bastard

  • great looking replica. nice work.

the v8 sound cracked me up. I´m sure it runs like hell. Anyways the musclecar sound made me laugh. It´s a little bit like hearing a harley V-Twin in a Kawasaki Ninja.

I love american muscle cars and I love the italian sport cars. Mixing both with each other was...

    ...unexpected.

    greetings

    e.

  • how much does it cost to build. i could never understand why build a replica when they can be had for less than 100 grand and im sure all the parts to build a nice replica would cost close to that i know the ultima cost that much

  • Whats with David Short these days? I hear he's not making any more of these :-( After I was saving for one... damn

  • I haven't spoken to David in over a year, but thats a shame or he may be making cars to order, if you can tempt him. His website is still up with his contact details. I'd give him a ring

  • @genecyzzle

yes i want one too< pity Dave is not making anymore..

i still want this one if it ever comes up for sale. :-)

  • Build your own new car that's never been seen before. That would be cool. You could do it too.

  • mouthwatering good

  • i like how its right hand drive ive always wanted to try and drive a right hand drive with a stick shift

  • Comment removed

  • Classiest looking replica I've seen, actually one of the few that looks classy at ll, think I'd rather have that than the real thing but would like it quieter when it idles.

  • Awesome Car,, love it.....

  • Beautiful car man!!..Looks great!!

  • Also, the paint job is stellar. You can see it's really good even through the relative poor quality of Youtube FLV files. And, good choice to put climate control in it. I've heard the originals become rolling pizza ovens. From Italy. Why not. Sounds like you've got a squeaky strut?

  • The car is great and so sturdy, you can jump all over it and not make a dent. I can get in the car even after leaving it in direct sunlight, and within seconds, the car is at a predetermined temp. When Im driving, I always have the windows up. Because of the way the air moves around the vents, the hot air from the back can be pushed into the cabin. Mind you,you areonly talking 3 inches of open window anyway. Yes after the recording we noticed the strut squeeking and had it fixed. - not enuf use.

  • A lambo replica done PERFECT. Finally, that cold start was rough though.

  • flaco se te empasto la bugia

  • yep sure is and i tell as many people that i can where the car was built. they are a fabulous car with a lot of time and detail gone into them. apart from getting stares wherever you go, you can get on the motorway, turn up the dvd and cruise. the car will never overheat, and never let you down. ive used this car to promote my businesses as well as just drive it for enjoyment, whatever the occassion it i a pleasure to drive and an honour to own one.

  • The car is a COUNTESS made in KIWI land aka New Zealand

  • Looks good.... Sounds like a garbage disposal though!

  • Yeah but if you say that about this cars engine sound at idle, you'd have to say that about airplanes with powerful radial engines like the Corsair or the B29. They sound just like this. I think he's got a pretty sweet look'n and sounding car on his hands. It would be better if it were a real Lambo, but hey.

  • Sounds like my old school bus

  • i deliberately filmed the car from a cold start and this is what most 350 chevs are like from a cold start idling. I could have warmed it up for you so you can hear it purr. but the car is my enjoyment and built to my specs.

  • >>>okay I have to say that this is the best looking Replica I've seen...And it sounds pretty good to boot! The only thing I'd say it needs is better looking exhaust and rims...something about the two, but otherwise...BAD ASS!

  • Ive seen some exhausts where the piping and linckages are exposed.with this car, everything is encased and I like that. the rims are one pieces 17 inch and honed to the dimensions. the origingal car used 15 and 16 inch. also if you look, the air valves in the rims are at the back and not in the front.

  • Very nice replica.Excellent car in its own right.which Countach replica

    is this?Is it a Prova?or something else..

as there are different ones available, some seems better than others. Thanks for the info..,just maybe..

    one day....

  • Wow You cant see it's a fake!

except when you look at the interrior ...

    Nice replica.

  • wow that's really close to a Countach.. good job

  • Wow, that's a very realistic replica. My mom had a 25th Anniversary for 6 years after I was born. I can tell you right now, that you have the correct pipes and sound. Nice work!

  • great lambo! it is a perfect replica, you really cant tell its fake. nice sound too, i wouldnt change it at all.

  • you'll take that back once you look up what a REAL lambo sounds like, a v8 is not a v12 dude

  • truthfully i dont like the sounds of lambos or any v12. i love the sound of an all american v8 so i felt the sound couldnt have been much better.

  • yea like mustang

type bad ass mustang and watch that video

    its nice

  • it has a the supercharger in it right? if so, the supercharger whine was amazing, but i prefer the sound of a cammed f-body if were talking about new cars.

  • the engine is a bored out 350 chev, with no supercharger. but the way the motor has been worked, it sounds like it has been spercharged. if i build another car, i would consider a toyota v8 or a bmw v12. remembering my car is 13 years old now

  • theres a lot of good american engines out there too. if you want a newer naturally aspirated engine with a lot of power, you can always go for the ls7. it has a lot of potential.

  • nic€ that'$ ur car?

  • get a car like that, pick up hors every night =)

  • Not bad at all, but the sound is from a LANZ Bulldog, or? The sound is bad, but better then from a pontiac.

  • This car looks brand new, but is 10 years old. I am happy with the engine, it may sound lumpy at low revs, but if you push it, it can fly. If I was going to get another one made in today's specs, I would go for a Lexus V8. They have an amazing sound when they are treated to some fancy work. But for a ten year old car, my beast suits me just fine

  • wow ok you put a v8 in it and a push rod chevy motor too lol wow should of had a v12 lol or even a v10 that V8 sound with the cam just doesnt sound right

  • What a great piece of artwork here. Great job genecyzzle. I love the look and paint job. Sounds like a beast muscle car. *thumbs up*

  • Cheers

  • Umm, just some little details you need, get the interior like the original one, and make it sound like a real one... then that would be all for a nice replica

  • Thanks, but I had a real car and didn't like it. My car is decked out to my specs and I love it for what it is. It is not my intention to have an exact replica. It is my intention to have a car I can enjoy.

  • Yep you're right, then you must enjoy that car... umm then dont you like it to roar like an Italian? just some headers and exhaust system, that would be enough, by the way great work.

  • I suppose for me is the advantage of owning an original countach, so I could weigh up the pros and cons. And knowing the problems, I was able to stem away from them with my replica. Apart from getting the car road worthy, and extra goodies inside, my car has been very cheap to maintain. I love the groaty growl of the 350, and the lumpy cams. But yes, if I was to build another I would seriously consider the BMWV12, or the Lexus V8 which can be made to sound like a lamo.

  • Oh, you have a real one... well then you're right, then you must know way more than me, and yes the original one is not proportional on inside distances, I know you've must fixen that and anyways great work by the way, keep it up, I'd like to se your real one compared to this one, like some sprint to see performance in curves and acceleration, I've allways wanted to see real vs replica, please! Oh by the way congrats and I'm suscribed.

  • I don't speak Spanish, so please translate for me.

  • he said it sounds like a car from the 50's

  • thanks for that. The sound is from the good old chev 350. But it is amazing what you can do with a basic engine to get it get up and go.

  • suena como una carcacha de los 50´s

  • i still like this model other than Murcielago , diablo , and reventon aswell

this countach is complete vector design , fully slope on head , what a good aerodynamics

  • Tilton clutches are great for racing. They grip and you fly. Trouble is they are very awkard to use in traffic situations. Or even hill starts. In stopped traffic you basically count to 6 before you start off or you'll fly into the car in front. So I made the decision to get the clutch replaced so I could drive the car when and where I wanted. Some drivers of lambos get a thrill out of people oogling over their car and staring.I get my kicks in driving the beast and blasting down the motorway.

  • There was a lot of work done to the engine as it used to do a lot of racing. Putting out over 500 hp. Trouble was that it needed a tilton clutch system. Which is fine for racing, but no good in normal driving. The clutch is either in or out on a tilton system. And very heavy on the foot. So I had to have it detuned twice to match a new clutch system and make it drivable. Don't be fooled though this beast can still take up and go. It has never overheated, and comfortably cruises on 200kph

  • well the heavy clutch would have given it more of a genuine feel, the original countach was notorious for its heavy clutch...but its your car and your preference matters the most.

  • the normal engine is crap but this one is lovely did you actually put that enjine in the car it sounds like a mouscle car

  • Looks nice, sounds great! Have you been to Carlisle? Went there two years ago and saw a few that were parked outside and were driven there from Pennsylvania and New Jersey/New York area. One guy was named Jerry Tully I believe and I have always wanted to talk to those guys their cars were awesome. some countach bodies do not look good, either too small or just weird looking. the body cannot overwhelm the wheels and tires or it looks stupid.

  • No bud I haven't. It's a bit of a hke from New Zealand. That's right, if you can't get th body look to wheels it just looks terrible. And so many replicas miss the mark on this point. It of course ads to stability of the car round corners. You put your foot down in my car and it just goes. I have had my car for ten years, and the finish of it is beautiful. Some recent cars using fiero chasis look just horrible. If you are going to spend money on a car, make sure its a good end product.

  • EXCELLENT THE BEST COUNTACH REPLICA SHOWED ON YOUTUBE maybe you should sell that V8 and install a BmW v12 or maybe contact somebady wich owns a WRECKED LAMBO OR FERRARI JAJAJ AND BUY THE ENGINE OR MAYBE NOT LOL

  • Honestly I went through the process of looking at a V12. The overall cost and maintenance was huge. Most of the guys I know are now using Lexus V8's instead of chevs. They are better suited and can be easily turboed or supercharged. We have a guy who made a Ferrari F40 replica with a twin turboed Toyota V8, it clocked over 200 mph. Shit can that move. We don't use stretched Fiero chasis on any of the cars. They have a monocoque chasis designed around the powerplant. Cheers for the compliment

  • it looks too real for a replica.

  • thanks, that's always a good compliment. Check out my other videos and see the various inside extras including the talking alarm and two tvs

  • It sounds like a dragster...

  • Sure does, and goes like the clappers. It is practically a go-kart on wheels.

  • Nice work ^_^;; Replica or not id take it xD

    Awesome vid thanks ^^

  • cheers

  • Beautiful! This body style is much nicer & cleaner than the Anniversary editions they came out with later. None of those silly extra louvers and scoops all over. Why buy a real one with all its headaches & troubles when you can get a nice replica for 1/3 its cost?!

  • i quite agree.

  • that is one beautiful replica, how much did this cost you?

  • I have had the car ten years now, and I did get it for a bargin. You can check out the manufacturer site at Countess Mouldings and he will give you a guide price depending on your specs.

  • Sounds squeeky...

  • yeah, a front strut needed a bit of grease. We didn't realise this til after the shooting of this video. haha that will teach me for not using it enough. 5,000kms in ten years is the odo reading. That's pretty sad when the average person does 10,000 kms per year. That's what happens when you have a busy lifestyle. Once I get the new vids you'll hear the difference

  • That was my only fault with the car, and you have put that to rest. All in all, THE very best replica I have ever seen of the Countach. Top notch mate.

  • Ive been a caterer for the past 20 years so it limites me to being able to use the beast. I have used it to take the groom to churches for weddings (with me driving of course). The funniest things was when the groom wouldn't get out of the car and the bride was standing there outside the church with hands on hips. hard case.

This is the second replica I have had and I love them. Because of the way this car has been built I would feel safer in a crash than any other car. Cheers

  • I have to say also that the American V8's sound better than the original...er...V12's did they have? I am pretty sure they did, Wikipedia right after this reply :P.

Lovely car, links to kit provider?

  • It's a great car, and I enjoy hitting the motorway and just cruising with the music and just taking time out.

  • Very nicely done!

  • This is the BEST Countach replica I've ever seen. Great job!!

  • Cheers

  • For how much money can I get a replica like that?

  • If you go to Countess Mouldings in New Zealand, you can contact the owner. I have seen many replicas and by far these are the best I have seen, both in build and reliability. There are no Fiero parts. It has its own chasis. I've got a video to show my interior including tvs dvd system talking alarm.

  • wow..But I live in the U.S.A in New York...I will try my best to get my dream car..thanks for the information...and I want to see your lambo's interior!

  • I know there are heaps of kits out there, but to find good ones are far and few. Most times you are inheriting someone elses problems. And from what I see less and less are making the cars now. The company in New Zealand may be able to ship to the States, or you may be able to find a decent one there. I know most are made from a Fiero chasis that is stretched. Good luck with finding one bud.

  • what do u mean replica...seriousley why do u call it a replica if it looks and sounds like the real thing?!?!

  • Thanks for that. What I love about the car is that is is well constructed, and goes like the clappers. But also that you can use it as an every day car if you wanted.I would recommend anyone looking at buying a replica, or even wanting advice to talk to David Short from Countess Mouldings.

  • What car was used to make this replica?

  • It is built on its own space fram chasis. It is not made using Fiero or any other car.

  • Great color. On my monitor it looks silver, like a brushed aluminum. real nice.

  • It's actually a type of grey. But when the sun hits it, it appears to go a silver. The good thing about the grey is that at night when oncoming headlights shine on the car, it doesn't reflect back like a mirror. I have some updated videos to put on soon showing the interior and the engine

  • That is one hell of a scary good replica. well done!

  • Cheers

  • Thanks for the fantastic video mate! I am a little short of funds right now...I am still a young man. However, I am aware of Countess Mouldings and I plan on getting a Countach from them once I have the funds. I also have to figure out how to import the car into the USA. Cheers! Well done! Your car looks awesome, and it looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

  • I can honestly say that of all the lambos I have seen, Countess are the most precise and well engineered. The only difference between Countess and the original is the side windows are straight and not slightly curved. All other features and dimensions are exact. These cars have been exported globally including Japan, so there shouldn't be a problem about importing to USA. Good luck

  • stunning ! - what did all this set you back in aussie doller ? ( 86 cents to the american doller ) i have wanted to do something like this for years - i have the funds , but dont know where to start ? yours is a impeccable example of this fabulous car . kudos to your fine work :)

  • I would always suggest to people to buy a turnkey model. The last thing you want is someones half attempts. You can look at my manufacturer Countess Mouldings in New Zealand. Also if you look up trademe you will see a 2004 red Countach for sale for about $85,000 NZ

  • thank you for you swift reply and information about the vehicle .

  • This is THE BEST replica I have ever seen. Awesome car

  • I will shortly post some more videos of the interior and you can see both tvs going and also how well finished off the car is. Cheers for you praise of the car

  • my dream in your hands

  • I love the bitchy growl of this beast, and man can it move. You can see from the road runs that I couldn't blast it for fear of running out of road. And I was only got to second gear

  • I love it! Muscle car sound and Italian looks! Hell of a job! I love the lopey cam!

  • Cheers. Though I haven't, you can certainly use as an every day car. You can't do that with the original. It's a lot of fun, and the impact that it has pulling into a parking area still gets me even after 10 years of having the car.

  • I love those things, i plan to have one soon!!, & it'a damn pretty nice in silver colour!!!!!!

  • sounds messy...

  • That's what happens with a cold start with lumpy cams. But when you plant your foot it gives you immediate response, smooths out and just flies.I have had this car up to 290km/hr and there is still peddle left.
