  • Uh if you have Homo sapiens the only other hominids around were the Homo neanderthalensis. By that time Homo erectus had been gone for about 1.5 millions years.

  • Feel sorry for that one neanderthal. First he falls off a cliff, then a woman tries to kill him, then he gets attacked by a lion, then the woman tries to kill him again after he saves her life, then he gets attacked by a bunch of niggers on his way home and injured, then they kill his entire family and he has to fend for himself in the forest. Few people have had a shittier day before, or since.

  • Women were just as pigheaded back then as they are now !

    Fuck the homo skankies !

  • They'd have cooked that meat.... those guys knew their business and would have avoided getting sick.

They'd also look more like the Khan/San Bushpeople than Bantus. Still it's a good story.

  • how a creationist will explain this?:) Did ''God'' made more species of humans?:)

  • @blinddaterix no, just one. go and read my comment on the homo erectus planet of the ape man. these lies are sick. no black homo sapien 32,000 yrs ago was going up to a dead animal eating it raw. thts why blacks eat all there food and steaks well done. where as whites eat raw steaks, but where did they get tht from. an ancestor called neanderthal. check there evolution its right b4 our eyes. so if god had one creation, then where did they come from. this is more shocking than my other comment.

  • didn't know they had steroids back then...

  • Where do they get all these pigs to test weapons for all these shows D:...

    Wasted god damn bacon

  • The Neanderthals in this are taller and sexier than the ones in The Discovery Channel Neanderthal series.

  • 18:29 Conan the Barbarian

  • Show was pretty good til the woman comes in, kinda takes the whole history-like theme and makes it into somewhat like a drama show. Still pretty good though.

  • 3:51 titty titty titty titty XD

  • i didn't know Captain America (dude with an the letter A on his forehead) was our ancestor.

  • I didn't know they could speak English way back then.

  • @wanker4761 I didn't know they had English accents either. It's still a surprise to see black men and women speak that way today, in fact.

  • 7:03 is pretty dumb. This shouldn't be in this documentary.

  • Cave woman, get back in the kitchen and make me a cave cat sammich!

  • @SecretsOfLongevity haaaaaaaaaa haaaaaa

  • This would be very good if the Neanderthals weren't so huge. They were extremely built, with big noses and white skin, but they were pretty damn short.

  • @Tareltonlives

Neanderthals were 5.5 feet tall on average. Sure that's shorter than modern humans, but its not "pretty damn" short.

  • Humans mindlessly slaughtering each other. How things haven't changed a bit...

  • damn neanderthal seem kinda better us i wouldn't mind being able to wresle a bear

  • Nords vs Redguards

  • agh! That woman is sooo annoying!!

  • and they spoke in English, that ruined the whole thing :P

  • It appears that the savage Neanderthal wasn't quite British enough...

  • The somehow light skinned black woman just completely ruins this otherwise great doco watt a shame becuz she's unexcusably terrible..women's rights in ancient times my ass!!

  • @sideshowbobmarley Actually your wrong. Historically before religion came along women were highly valued as equal sex. In ancient Persia women had value and were highly respected. This is true fact you can search it up sir.

  • "Evidence of a huge number of injuries, like those seen in today's rodeo riders, suggest that hunting involved dangerously close contact with large prey animals."

Or other humans. It's probably more likely they had huge internal conflicts, much like current cannibal tribes do, and came into conflict with each other much more than wild animals.

  • 7:03 you should've stayed in the outdoor kitchen bitch, hunting is a men's job..

  • I will not rest until i've personally strangled every pretentious doofus who pronounced "Neanderthal" without the "h." I know it's an "acceptable" pronunciation. I also know I will kill them all slowly.

  • @PumpingSmashkins The word is, of course, based in German. The first remains identified as belonging to a different species of human were in the Neander thal. (Neander valley). The spelling of the word "thal" has since been officially changed to "tal" because English-speakers consistently said it wrong, and it suddenly was a word that people were saying quite a bit. When referring to the hominids, it is stilll spelled "Neanderthal", but the "h" is not pronounced. Sorry to nitpick.

  • @ControltheDistance "neanderthal [nee-an-der-thawl, -tawl, -tahl; ney-ahn-der-tahl]"

So, as i mentioned, they're both "acceptable," but ney-ahn-der-tahl isn't the "preferred" version, and it just sounds awkward. I find it annoying, but whatever...

  • @PumpingSmashkins I know how you feel. The first couple of times that I heard it pronounced that way, it drove me crazy.

  • This "documentary" is really hilarious. Doesn't seem too concerned with being scientifically accurate at all. What I know about Neanderthals, through everything I've read, is that, while they're more robust and physically resilient, they're actually SHORTER and SLOWER than modern humans. Also, language among Neanderthals is HIGHLY controversial; if they did have language, it wouldn't have been as advanced. I don't think there's any evidence that they kept written records, etc.

  • Still just a fantasy, How do you know they were at war? Fighting over what?

  • So they say Neanderthals were massive compared to modern humans? I guess they forgot to mention that modern humans are much taller and faster the Neanderthals. Oh yeah, this documentary also doesn't mention the enormous height of the Cro-magnons. When the average Cro-magnon was 20-30 cm taller than a Neanderthal, the Neanderthal is in deep trouble, no matter how robust he is.

  • @N00bcrunch3r I might be wrong, but I think that even though Cro-Magnons were significantly taller, the weight is believed to have been similar. Having a long, lanky guy punch a short, fat, brick of a guy doesn't tend to work out for the taller guy. I think that given the closeness in weight, I'd bet on a neanderthal in a one on one fight. If you scaled Nikolai Valuev down to 5'5", he'd still be able to beat the crap out of a Cro-Magnon.

  • @ControltheDistance

The average Neanderthal was about 5' 6" and weighed about 170 lb., about the same weight as a Homo sapien 3 inches taller. One must take into account though, that Cro-magnons were still fairly muscular for Homo sapiens AND they averaged well over 6 feet tall in some populations.

  • @N00bcrunch3r True. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell whether a skull is from a Neanderthal or a Cro-magnon without a good look from several angles, just because the Cro-magnons were so robust. I think a lot of people would be thrown by Predmosti 3, and even more by the Skhul and Qafzeh hominids (which aren't Cro-magnons, rather an earlier population) if they had to determine which species they belonged to.

  • @ControltheDistance

I have looked up those specimens, but the sources I researched seemed to forget that even modern humans can have relatively prominent browridges, as seen in Aborigines and some Caucasoids. Some features that distinguish Neanderthals from us are: broad skeleton, shorter, thicker bones, large nose, larger jaw, lower cranium, and a low forehead.

  • @N00bcrunch3r I wasn't trying to say that they were the same as neanderthals. I was merely pointing out that, as you said, modern humans can have prominent browridges and overall robust physique.

  • @ControltheDistance

    Agreed!

  • They speak English and they look like Mulattoes--WHAT THE HELL?

  • @N00bcrunch3r right, because it would be so much more watchable if they spoke some imaginary, primitive language, with English subtitles.

  • @PumpingSmashkins

It would certainly be more realistic and would be much better than the horrible English voice acting. And besides, countless other documentaries can do it. So why can't this one do it to?

  • @N00bcrunch3r it's annoying to have to take your eyes off of what's happening simply to read the subtitles. It should be a given that they're not really speaking English. But I'd be willing to tolerate that if I didn't have to hear the awkward "Neandert'al" pronunciation from 75% of the commentators.

  • @PumpingSmashkins bang on

  • They speak English so well, I'm surprised

  • what a load of sh*t !!!

  • @claireclark69 So don't watch it!

  • This must be the first comedy science documentary I have ever watched... Thanks for the laughts...

  • I know they said Africans migrated to Europe, but would mixed race people really have existed back then?

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz No it's something that just started, I'm being sarcastic

  • @Dadraine When you use sarcasm it's kinda traditional not to point it out...

  • @11:00 "Oh shit! Bigfoot..." :D

  • Really? They speak English? Come on...

  • I knew Mel B. was a bad-arse post-modern feminist, but her spear-chucking skills are surprisingly poor.

  • Yes I did get what they were saying perhaps you missed what they said I stand by what I said and can prove this video to be False!!!

  • I would love to see a real life Neanderthal.

  • That black chick is hot.

  • @tinykz untill she talks

  • there can only be one!

  • First Lie! we DID NOT ALL COME OUT OF AFRICA!!!! It Has Been Proven!!!! Hello skin color is a lie because they would have to have gone through thousands of years of being in the dark cave to have become white not to mention blind and we know it is not true that the white race was in a cave that long LOL. Sounds to me like more brain washing to separate us

  • @AMG7771 I guess you didn't get what they were saying.

  • @withthewolves Oh I got it they are trying to divide us through color race and origin. And really does it matter now? the one true message of GOD would be UNITY and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!! If man was created in Gods image then wouldn’t we all be the same and if we are all the same how would we learn to get along with others that are not like us when will People learn we are all one regardless of color race or creed

  • @AMG7771

    Care to elaborate?

  • @AceofDlamonds if you are religius you would not really understand because in my Opinion Religion blinds you from the truth we know that by looking at History but thats another story

  • @AMG7771 sorry for the Typo RELIGIOUS

  • @AMG7771

And your comment is blinded from the truth as well.

  • @AMG7771 How do you know?

  • @razorSE15 have done lots of research over the years

  • @AMG7771 If you've done years of reasearch, where did we come from? I can't iunderstand why certain people take this view point....

  • @AMG7771 The decreased pigmentation of white people is completely inconsistent with that of cave animals. Nobody suggested that white people became white by living in caves. Please, make sure to determine whether what you've read is based in fact or conspiracy theories.

  • At 14:44 he's like- "Oh JEEZUS!!! WHITE PEOPLE!!!"

  • mm the early Eiropeans got sick of waiting for the poms, so they skipped old and middle English like the poms and went straight to modern English.

    cheers

  • When will us Indians from India win the Javelin gold medal. Neanderthal genes have hindered us in sports

  • cute woman this pregnant one

  • I'm surprised those Cro-Magnons succeeded at all, seeing as they were all males! And the more you look at representations of the Ice-Age, you see a general lack of females all round. Come on BBC, females built this world too, you know.

  • @borrettj71 apparently they cant show tits on this docmentary

  • @borrettj71 actually females contributed with something "a bit important", just a bit: THEY GAVE BIRTH to all Cro-magnons!!!!!!!!! Men built this world, and yet men are here thanks to mamma.

  • 37:29 ....No way, man. Those are TREES.

  • "You sure he's alive?" "To BURY HIM!!"

  • it's hard to believe that englishmen came from black people. can someone explain this.

  • @aznguy11111 For the same reason that Neanderthals did (15:00).

  • @aznguy11111 we all did, as supported by genetic research. Black skin can be problematic in a cold climate. Vitamin D is supplied by sunlight onto the skin. Low sunlight areas need paler skin to gain enough vitamin D, so over time, natural selection favoured lighter skin and so over time, in cold regions like Northern Europe, skin grew paler. 'Englishmen' have only existed for about 6,000 years anyway. UK was populated after the ice age.

  • Worlds first lesbian :')

  • lmao, they get a half black half white girl to play the main character

  • @lonewolf604 She's well within the range of 100% black people. Blacks don't require white DNA to be light-skinned or have fine features. There are black Africans who are several shades lighter than this actress.

  • thank god its in english for the speaking roles, tired of subtitles

  • feminism hahahaha

  • they're eating the carrion raw? that seems unlikely... if they were modern humans, they would have wanted it cooked, for easier digestion, just like we do...

  • Comment removed

  • All sorts of "modern" social "issues" also represented in this far-flung, fanciful, dramatic, tale: feminism, collectivism, xenophobia....etc. More imaginative than factual.

  • Haha brings a whole new meaning to racism :)

  • @MyMeatStick1 you can say that again

  • What the fuck they spoke english back then? Sorry that killed it for me.

  • oh shit there it is, now go kick some neanderthal ass bitch!!!!!!!

  • wheres the addle laddle

  • Very good documentary ;D learned a lot ! It would be so awesome if Neanderthal still exist :b

    Thanks BBC ;D

  • @tanadogps

If you are not from africa you have 4% of neanderthal genes in you , at least so they say. So they are still around =D

  • @munjerdo Ya for sure. Neanderthals were bad asses, the humans were just niggers

  • @munjerdo - No, there is no evidence of Neanderthals ever interbreeding with our species, there is just nothing of their DNA in us. So they are very much extinct.

  • @Skywalker91 Actually acording to this article there is. news,nationalgeographic,com/news/2010/05/100506-science-neanderthals-humans-mated-interbred-dna-gene/

  • 23:00 . You wouldn't really have a pet or a house cat.

  • There is also no evidence of the neanderthal ever being in africa...

  • @ienjoypaninis They weren't, they evolved from Homo Hedelbergensis who migrated to Europ from Africa.

  • not enemy but our ancestors too because of the genetic material passed to us, stupid BBC selling theories

  • @live0day

this was made before the fact Neanderthals contributed to a majority of the modern human genome was fully supported. They were just going on what they had. Least they didn't give the Neanderthals those ridiculously huge brows and gave them a human quality

  • big bullshit corporation ....

when are the neanderthals stop programming us with divertionary tactics and subliminal programming...open the vatican archives and then try talking bullshit...

  • Lmao, so much bullshit. The first europeans would have look like middle-easternes, not black africans.

Also, humans have 2-5% neanderthal genes.

  • @ViruzNoob14 Here's something: WHO GIVES A FUCK?

  • @MBJH17isbackonlyone People who don't fall into the media's bullshit. U mad phaggot?

  • @ViruzNoob14 nah, the first homosapiens probably would have looked like that, their skin and facial structure wouldnt have just changed that quickly. non-africans definitely have the neanderthal DNA though. This doc seems cheesy as hell hahahaha.

  • @ViruzNoob14 how so? The middle east was still just as hot as Africa at the time. When homo sapiens entered Europe, they were indeed still dark skinned. Only after entering Europe and going through the ICE age, did they evolve into what we see as today's Europeans. Skin color and hair is not the point. Try not to think like you've been taught for years. We are all one, regardless of bigotry, we are all the children from the same group.

  • @MonsieurMercredi

that may be true of the Arabian Peninsula and parts of Iran and Afghanistan, but we came from Central Asia, which is colder/cloudier than Africa and we'd spent between 30,000 and 100,000 years there before venturing into Europe. Cro Magnons probably looked similar to today's Arabs or Indians, but certainly not like Central Africans

  • @ViruzNoob14

possible, though you must remember climate was very different back then, and many races such as Middle Easterns/Indians hadn't fully formed the traits they have today. There also is some evidence that some (not all) humans might have come across the Mediterranean bottom lands, thus avoiding the Middle East all together.

And only certain non-africans have Neanderthal genes, mostly Europeans and some West Asians. With them the % can be as high as 15%
