the key in being a Xiaoyu expert is good finger coordination.....

she's hard to use if your just smashing your buttons to make her do your combos

sometimes i start with [forward-forward LK](sorry don't know the name) to drain a little in the opponent's life bar then wait foe him to come closer then start my juggle proper...it goes like this...

cyclone left, then RP (2x or 3x) (sometimes i follow up another cyclone left when the opponent seems to be still high enough from the ground), then mistrust and X Marks The Spot, and another [forward-forward LK] as follow up while the opponent is still on the ground...

whoow!! i've been studying this video for hmmmm... not quite a time... this helps a lot... i really love xiaoyu but my impression to her is...she's one hard character in tekken to use..that's for me..and that's one of the reasons why i chose her to be my primary character... at first, i don't know how to phoenix tail.. with continuous parctice, i discovered it myself how to... and i even have my own juggle combos...

My main problem on doing these combos is that I spazz out right after I start a juggle. These are my other problems: How do you perform Jasmine Blossom while you are in Phoenix? Also, when ever I RP after I do B. Chop Back. while the foe is falling, it misses. I also need advice on how to do Jasmine Blossom and Sunflower very quickly while crouching. When ever I try to do it really fast, I RP while crouching instead. Are you suppose to go from d to df and then press RP?

rosca20 -- I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I understand the question. Tekken 1, 2, and 3 were released on the PS1. Tekken Tag, 4, and 5 were released on the PS2. Tekken DR was released on the PSP and the PS3, and Tekken 6 will be released on the PS3, among other systems. Sorry again if that's not what you're asking.

Hmm...I've been thinking about one thing.

Do you use L1,R1,L2 & R2 buttons to access some moves?I use mainly L1(LP & RP) and R1(LK & RK) to access some moves and make combos easier.

Muggshotter -- Yes, I use the shoulder buttons for precision. I like LP+RP on L2, LK+RK on L1, and the grabs on the right shoulder buttons.

but, i usually end my combos with RP,RP,LP~d+RP+LP(goes to phoenix) so while in phoenix, i go forward a little then hit them with PHX u+cricle so they can be lifted again then while there in the air, i do WS RP so i can do any combo with WS RP as a launcher

Well anyway, These are some cool combos. I'd totally recommend my friends who are beginners to watch ur vids.

Ever since I first got Tekken 4 I started a notebook dedicated to juggles, so I continued that with Tekken 5, so I can't really pinpoint how long it took to play with every combo, but I've spent a looong time in Practice Mode trying to see what will work and what won't, and oviously things that are too hard to do 100% of the time I'll discard. It did take a long time though to orchestrate the video, so thanks a lot for commenting :)

I've always used LP, RP, LK, and RK since that's what the game itself has always used, ever since the first Tekken. Also, I want my videos to be accessible even to people who are new to the game, so since (like I said) the in-game Controller Setup uses LP and RP, I figure anyone who has the game should understand that, but thanks a lot for the input and the comments :)

kalabayuhas -- Yeah, I don't know whats up with that. You know the game itself has been using LP for Left Punch and RK for Right Kick since the first Tekken hit the PS1. I don't know who started up with all those numbers, but I try to avoid making my combos look like bad algebra problems...

Thx man, I just tried some of the Phoenix tail juggles and I get most of them to work; however I don't really get the timing for those with Phoenix stance after the phoenix tail so I better skip on those :P

Soujiro1987 -- Yeah, the Phoenix Tail to Phoenix stance combos are a bit tricky; I only use them if I want to show off. In a real fight situation, it's best to stick to what's easiest and therefore less likely to be goofed up. Thanks for the comment :)

JaKaRtAbOy917 -- Ling can step and/or dash foward in Rain Dance the same way she can when facing fowards; you just have to tap foward. *Pressing* foward will cause her to turn around; quickly *tapping* foward will cause her to advance but stay in the Rain Dance stance. Tap foward twice and she will dash. Hope that helps.
