  • Awesome music, just mind blowing

  • Who else can't help but tap a foot or move your head along to the beat?

  • I typed in The Tarantella Dance cause I wanted to see it, but I always thought it was a Russian Dance, oh well live and learn I guess!

  • Perfect !!!!

  • they didn't go hey!

  • i hate hetalia, people should like this because of traditions and the actual italian spirit, not because of that crappy tv show

    im sick of that shit

    back to the subject...

è incredibile.. di che regione è questa tarantella?

  • Anyone thinking of Nora from "A Doll's House"?

  • I have used this to begin learning the Tarantella. This is a great video and performance. Thanks!

  • i watched this in english cos we r reading a dolls house lolls

  • I'm a Hetalia fan too, but I don't get why/how you guys where brought here by the series o_o"

Perhaps because I'm of Italian descent and I've known this dance since childhood...

    /sorry for the bad English

  • Its Not Greek.

  • So beautiful.

  • bellissima.....

  • 7 people broke their leg trying to dance like these chicks.

  • Actually watching this because it was popular in Norway in the 19th Century! Currently reading A Dolls House by Henrik Ibsen, where the main character dances the tarantella. Never heard of it before, but I understand why she was dancing it! It seemed so random but the fact it was danced as some form of exorcism has totally helped me with my essay! Thank you @saltadoros08 !

  • @KOLobsessed totally why I'm here.

  • @MoreThanMichael really? I didnt realise it was such a popular book to be studied, I never heard of it before

  • @KOLobsessed I don't think it's a popular play to study, but it's short and I needed a literary work to be able to reference in an AP literature exam.

  • Guido females lull.

  • ahhhh vavanculo a questi americani

  • The description says "Senior Number 2002 Duluth Performance, but the sign in the video says "2004 Italian American Festival"

  • This is how the song should always be played... for Pete's sake, the song is about a man who is dancing the spider venom out of his body. Not a nice 'hidey-do' dance, but passionate and fast paced.

  • i listened to florence tarantella while watchin this vid XD

  • Insert Hetalia reference here.

  • @TheFinalAlice Haha Hetalia is everywhere, huh?

  • @TheFinalAlice XD LOL awesome.

  • @TheFinalAlice No. Just no. Fans that do shit like this ruin the series for me and everyone else. This is why people hate Hetalia.

  • @xXLunarEclipse896Xx There's the 'catch 22'. For Hetalia to become more successful and Hidekaz to get more money, he needs more fans. And that strips Hetalia of its indie series status. Now a Hetalia fanart is always in the most popular on deviantART and the fandom is full of hipsters. The release of the English dub didn't make things any better. My comment wasn't fangirling; it was a way to mourn Hetalia's fandom's glory days and the respect of anything related to this series.

  • @TheFinalAlice I wasn't poking at you. I was saying how fans that DO make random Hetalia comments on videos like this annoy people. "LOL LOOK AT THAT. ROMANO WOULD BE SOOOOOO CUTE DOING THIS LOLOLOL" annoys me. I wasn't saying that your comment was annoying me.

  • @TheFinalAlice i actually looked this up because of hetalia lol^-^

  • @TheFinalAlice i love you:3

  • Judge me if you will but.... Hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot

  • This is some high energy dancing, its like a Renaissance rave bpm wise. Very nice music and dancing , thanks for the post

  • whats the name of the music??' some one knows'??

  • it is not a tarantella...

  • Muy bueno !

  • greeting from greece to the brothers in italy

  • The term "tarantella" originally referred to an exorcism ritual that existed in Greece around the year 2000 BC and was connected to the gods Dionysus and Apollo (the Greek gods of wine and music)

tarantella it was a very popular dance amond the the greeks of magna grecia

In the groves let's sport and play,

    For this is Flora's holiday,

Sacred to ease and happy love,

    To dancing, to music and to poetry;

Your flocks may now securely rove

    Whilst you express your jollity.

    Nymphs and shepherds, come away

  • b)To dancing, to music and to poetry;

Your flocks may now securely rove

    Whilst you express your jollity.

  • hiiii........ am isha....... can any1 post the lyrics of this song with the meanin????? plz plz plz plz...... its very much required fr my project on italy plz.... will b gratefull to that person.....!!!!!!!!!1

  • i don't know what all the lyrics are...but the word "tarantella" means torantulla, like the spider. I do however, know what the meaning of the song is: pretty much its about a guy killing someone. I know, its not really the image you get when you first hear the music...

    hope this helped ^^

  • thank u so much fr ur efforts...... really thank full to you.... and i hav used ur info fr the introduction bit b4 the dance begins...... leaving the killing fact of course don want to scare the judges!!! :P.... welll stilll thank u thank u so much....

  • E' una festa di italoamericani.

GRANDE SUD music video by GIUSEPPE GAGLIARDI

    ciao!

  • BKN!

  • yes of course! there are many types of tarantella in italy! there is the sicilian one, the calabrian and the most famous in naples. But there are a lot of typical dances in italy. And tarantella is popular in the south, but in the north, this is totally unknow!

other types of dances are: spallata, pizzica and other

  • This is really cool. Are there many different kinds of Tarentella dances? For some strange reason, the CA state standard 1.2 says that seventh graders have to learn cultural dances from around the world and ours is really different. I'm pretty sure the standards are wrong, and I HATE the dance we have to do, but yours looks really cool!! :)

  • there are three main regions where the tarantella is done. compania (naopolitano tradition) calabria(calabrese) and sicily with the melody sounding similar to the naopolitano version but wiht a good old mandolino:).

  • Awsome!!

  • molto bello il ballo.!! io ho bisognio il nome di la musica di questo ballo.. se potessi dirmilo oggi meglio.!! ho visognio dil nome por domani.! grazie..

  • The song is called:

    OI MAMMA CA MO VENE

  • il nome è giusto. ed è stata presa dalla "Gatta canarentola" un musicol dialettale napoletanodove ci sono musiche e canti bellissimi da vedere ciao

  • complimenti per questi spettacoli
