Actually, I was touched by this commercial. Yes! There are priests who are very true to their vows and have the strength and courage to smile at circumstances that seem to be temptations. We have lots of priests who are blessed with great looks and bodies (they are expected to practice fasting and abstinence plus everyone already knows the benefits of exercise to good health). And they are all real men who can stand up with their remarkable conviction to serve God.

As a Catholic myself, I think we do ourselves and our children a disservice by not recognizing this. It is time for reform; Catholic guilt is still very real and is still rampant among our youth. They must know that they have natural, God given desires, and that they are loved regardless. Abolishing the vow of celibacy is a good first step.

This is still not the point. The point is that the church does not allow ALL of its CLERGY to MARRY. I can personally testimony that I meet a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Army who is a former Lutheran priest. He is married to a woman and have two daughters. actually,a priest from the church Our lady of Carmel in Barceloneta,Puerto Rico in his spare time lifts weights,i only visited the church a couple of times,now i recently go to one in my neighborhood called our lady of fatima.

It's funny because Catholic priests take a vow of celibacy - and its about not having sex, because they take a vow to God to serve Him all their life, with all that they have. They sacrifice their life to the Church and God just as Christ, who gives them this life calling, did for you and me.

You people act as if all Priests indulge themselves in such shameful sins. Who cares what the last generation did? Not twenty miles away, a Baptist preacher was caught selling drugs. @gingerbreadcorpses Yes we do, but what you and some others dont know is that there are priests who are humble, and commit themselves to our Lord and are faithful to Christs ministry and minister his work to the people and celibate. And if you havent read Pope Benedict before becoming the 265th Pontiff was the main person investigating and instituting laws which ratted out sex abusers in the church and reformed the Church.

If our Church, which is a beacon of Faith, Hope and Guidance that has grown from 1.166 Billion to 1.188 Billion Members, not an organisation, was F*** we would have been wiped out, yet the faith is still strong in Christ, his Church and His vicar.
