Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is inspired by great games such as the Resident Evil series. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
@Garindoo well i have this cutscenes but i don't need to download it with torrent because i have some problems with torrent :( is there are another link? (not torrent)
The pc version is ass, firstly the fucking resolution cant be adjusted properly, they only give you like 2 choices, which both doesnt give me fullscreen,i have to fucking mess around with all the files to make them fullscreen, then the fucking cutscenes, they look like shit
@HIM666dark6light i think its mostly due to the fact that this is a direct port from the PS2 version. PS2 did not support a lot of formats. Also (correct me if i am wrong) but resolutions higher than 720p werent so popular back in 05-06 when this port was in development. But judging from the quality of the game the developers obviously didnt put much thought into anything, so they mustve decided "awwww screw it" and decided not to include higher resolutions
I guess Capcom programmers still live in the time of RE1/2/3, where FMV cut scenes were like a huge bonus, since game graphics level was much lower in that time. I remember how I liked to watch them, especially in RE1 and RE2.
RE4 plays the FMV cut scene and the real-time one simultaneously, (at least on my PC), and if the FMV one srops for a second, I can see the real-time one too, a second ahead. If they're synchronised, the scene is flickering due to both of them being on the screen.
@David9858 someone prolly pointed it out but capcom didnt port this game to PC, it was done by another company and Ubisoft published it. It was the first and last game Capcom leased out to be ported to PC by some other company. Capcom ported RE5 to PC and look at it: it runs at DX10 with ingame cutscenes
Ok, just so everyone knows, the PC version has FULLY working cutscenes. This is some kind of coding. It seems that they had versions encoding into the game.exe :/
Oh geez. Lazy sons of bitches. They'd rather waste 2 gigs of hard drive space with crappily encoded videos recorded from the console version than make the cut scenes work. Thats just lovely.

every game needs real time cutscenes, they make it so much better at times.

Also it save space compared to pre rendered cut scenes
SgtThom 2 years ago
Capcom should use real-time cutscenes just like in the Wii and Gamecube Versions. I guess they were just too lazy to do it :(
David9858 3 years ago 12
@David9858 They couldn't do it on the PS2.
