  • Do NOT use StickEm on Proof coins like the large one you showed. You will tarnish the mirror field and these are then very difficult to clean if at all possible. NEVER touch the surface of a coin.

Best way to photograph proof coins, is Axial Lighting shooting directly from above.

Other coins, 1, 2 or 3 max directed defused lights. Depends on the fields, lustre and what the coin is actually made of.

How do I know this? I'm a pro working for a coin seller, photographing 12,000 coins.

  • in my opinion these are great products but way too overpriced.

  • They come with the MS32 complete kit, but they are fairly basic bounce cards made of white photo matte board with easel backs that attach to the back. You may be able to find similar items at photography shops. Pro Cyc sells them separately in their MyStudio online store as well.

  • Are these bounce cards just plain white card boards with a angled stand? or are they separate items which you can buy at photography shops?
