  • We should teach the alternatives to math, numerology. In physics we need to teach alternative of magic. In chemistry we need to teach the alternative of alchemy. In astronomy, we need to teach the alternative of astrology. In medical science we need to teach the alternative of miracles, and faith healing. I can point out "errors," in each of these fields, so I guess we could teach these "alternatives," because point out gaps automatically makes your view right with this type of thinking.

  • I forget. On which of those six days did God create all those fossils?

  • Darwinism for fool.

  • @elazar79. Darwinism is for fools, because evolution is not Darwinism, its a biological theory, that explains the complexity of life. Darwin was wrong on issues, and scientist do not hold him as a god, so they do not follow "Darwinism." Natural selection works, along with a lot of what Darwin said, but Darwinism is a total misunderstanding of evolution, that comes from creationist mythology, that falsely makes evolution into a cultist religion of so-called "Darwinism."

  • LOL that you cant get the rocket to take off without falling is proof that god hates you! And you cleverly allowed the bottle to shoot up and out of frame....FROM THE TOP!! You didnt really show the bottle shooting up through the air, PROVING that gravity is fake! How can the little tiny bottle be travelling upward through the sky if the gravity of the huge earth is pulling it downward? You only disproved gravity!! And proved.....intelligent falling!!! YES!!

  • true true

  • I like the satire of the title.

  • Sooo...on what day did god create gravity...hmmmm?

  • HAHAHA! Brilliant!

  • micro-gravity! LOL

  • Aha!! If they are testing the "theory" of gravity, then in this case they are Newtonians or perhaps Einsteinites, not Darwinists. What would Darwinists know about the Newtonian Gospel anyhow?

This message brought to you by the CFIF Center for Intelligent Falling.

Don't you just hate it when your comment doesn't post when you press Post Comment the first time and you have to re-write it?

  • "Intelligent falling"... I'm going to have to remember that one!

  • lol wonderful. 5 stars

  • that was to funny..

  • OMG I didn't realize you had a channel here! Woohoo!

Test the theory of gravity? In front of CHILDREN? Oh, the horror! ;-)

  • I think this anniversary also tested the metal or if you wish medal (metaphorically) of creationists

It seems that they couldnt help in calling Dawkins a plagiarist meanwhile trying to cover up their own plagiarism

Facts being misrepresented, ideas being distorted, the question is why, for money ? fame ? or just attention ? Which of the brains centers are used to allow someone deceit to propel an idea

    Darwin RIP

    Viva la Evolution

  • I pick D) All of the Above. But throw in some mental stubbornness as well...

  • fantastic

  • Great music: Carmina Burana,...

  • Yeah, but the first song is a pain to play on the french horn...nothing but huge quick jumps back and forth.

  • I tell you those darn graviotanionlistic ones try to keep us from teaching our trying that GOD pushes us down upon this planet. I tell you we got to teach them!

  • I am surprised that NatCen4ScienceEd would use the bizarre word "Darwinists."

  • meant as tongue-in-cheek. :)

  • Meh. The reverse-ordered Carmina Burana got me all confused :S

  • For extra fun, "microgravity" is a real word. And the difference between microgravity (low amounts of gravity) and regular gravity, is the same as the difference between a microscopic object and a macroscopic one, or "micro-evolution" and "macro-evolution".

  • I do lots of "intelligent falling". But most people call it "skydiving".

  • Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is "intelligent?!"

  • Only if the door's open.

  • LMAO!!

  • As I ve said before and I ll say it a thousand times-gravity? t'is but a theory and we all know theories are but the mere guesses of those whose knowledge exceeds the rest of us. Thus, listening to those silly scientists is absurd. Let s look at 2000 yr old bronze age bullshit! Yay, bullshit! Boo, science! Jesus told me he is right and you weren t there, therefore bullshit is Lord! Wow, religion is easy, thus correct.

  • Brilliant!

  • Hahahaha!!!

    Run, children! Ruuuuuuuunnnnn!!!

  • I've used the "micro" gravity idea before and YEC's can't stand it. Well done. Are we all Newtonists now?

  • I thoroughly loved that video!

  • That's right, things fall, that is just micro-gravity. No one has ever seen Pluto completing an orbit around the sun, where do you get your morals if macro-gravity is true?

  • No it is not *sigh*

Evolution is a fact. The THEORY of evolution is what DESCRIBES evolution and can make predictions about evolutions.

    *sigh* fort the 11,000th time.

  • Fifty bucks says yahooman didn't watch the whole video through.

  • And another 50 bucks for making an assumption of me thinking I didn't watch this video thoroughly. lol...I'm waiting.

  • yahooman2009: theory of evolution has been tested and continues to be tested, no experiment has ever contradicted it.

Theories can be falsified, proven wrong, never proven right, this is simply how science works.

  • Ok, thanks for pointing out my fallacy. I just want to understand more about evolution and how it works out with natural selection.

  • yahooman2009: No problem.

  • Evolution has been thoroughly tested, and you missed the point of the video. Evolution is a theory in exactly the same way gravity is a theory.

  • Theories NEVER become facts.

A theory deals with HOW it works, not IF.

The theory describes the mechanisms of a natural phenomena.

  • @tomaselvis Yes. "Evolution" is a fact, "Evolution by means of Natural Selection" is the *scientific* theory describing it.

  • I've never liked the "Fact" vs "theory" dichotomy. I think confuses the public a bit. I think it's better to just talk about the theory of evolution, and the major concepts within it (which are also theories), and how they're well supported.

So, talk about common ancestry, natural selection, and so forth.

  • Well, I agree with you to a certain point. I do think it is imporant to remove the misunderstanding of the word 'theory', and especially what it applies to.

I guess it should be common practise to call it "Theory of evolution by means of natural selection", or even "natural selection" because *that* is the theory, not evolution itself, since that is a fact.

  • Jeez....I've been panned severely by critics. I hate it whenever comments covers up like this because of receiving too many poor comment thumbs down.

    :(

  • Ahh, was that the V2? One of man's greatest achievements in technology.

  • If you freeze frame the video, you can see little angels carrying the bottle!

I love the NCSE. It's sad that we have to have an organization like it, though...

  • Evolution the theory? Evolution the fact!

  • XD

    great video... :"D

  • Yeah, like real Creationists would ever bother to TEST anything!!!

  • Run children! Run!

    I lol'd at that part...

  • Someone needs to take down this "theory" of gravity that corrupting our youths!

    Hey, I think thats a t-shirt idea.
