Looks like Shadow of the Colossus + to much weed after watching final fantasy.

No matter how a game looks. I think game making as a whole just keeps going down hill. Where are all the stories. The characters are so cliche and boring nobody even cares who they are.

Gaming has lost all character driven elements, boiling down into a pixelated bong toke techinicolor rainbow. If that is now. 10 years after this I hope it will be better but I doubt it after seeing trash for the past 10.

Of course its good =D There are a few more games from around 2k. But its a bitch to get the best version. -Soldiers of Anarchy -Jagged Alliance 2:Wildfire There are some games, but not alot over volume

@WildBuck007 um... okay i actually tested the game and i'm still a newbie, but here you go:

yeah, in asense its like SotC; EXCEPT in SotC, killing the bosses was pretty easy; in this game; the bosses kill you faster than a blink of an eye (funny enough, i'm not really exaggerating, FU hellkate Drake!)

the game, graphicaly, is honestly not that amazing, i mean yeah it has its beautiful moments, but i think thats more for a brief moment of relaxation...

@WildBuck007 continuing off: the story, admittingly, is lacking in the beginning; but the game makes up for it with some... interesting characters, boss fights, mini boss fights, optional boss fights; etc.

character driven elements, as in like a story line for your chara in which your choices affect the ending? honestly, american and european games don't really do a good job on this; the japanese tend to do a better job... either way, if you don't mind dying 50 million times, give it a shot

I've come to the conclusion that japanese games are worse. They rehash the same icons and everything a million times. Renaming them and recoloring them as if to assume the audience is not going notice its the same thing.

Then to draw out a longer game. They just keep adding more bosses that no longer even make sense after the story already ended after the first.

Old games could get off by the system limitations. But now is lame, because they dont have any limits. Its just lazy.

@WildBuck007 i think your refering to the older generation japanese games or the more... erm... large scale like final fantasy: i'm talking about game series such as: tales of series (tales of symphonia seems to be the biggest hit; and tales of graces is comin out for ps3 in english), Ar Tonelico series (somewhat the same, but each game had some pretty interesting and significant changes that kept it new and fun) disgaea (if your into RTS games too, this game is pretty bad ass)

Actually the early games were fine because the accepted limitations. But I mean like Dragon Quest...mm 8 was it? Then the other tales games after Symphonia. They just horrible. You get to the end. Thought it was over like 50 times. I took it out of the system and used the friggin things as a Frisbee.

I hated FF7. I honestly threw it in the trash. Only later did I realise the legion of ass hats who would have bought it for $100 lol XD

Go find Ultima 7 and get Dosbox, both free =D

But I prefer games like Langrisser. I played 1-5 on the saturn. Few other systems I've still a few of them on. 1 & 2 on genesis + PS1. Had to sell my saturn and the games so I can't play those any longer. But I like the first 2 rather well. 3 & 4 sucked. 5 was fun but my japanese wasn't good enough to let me in on the story. Which was a bitch to understand from 4 up to 5.

Nearest thing is Suikoden 1&2. 3+ sucked monkey nuts XD

@WildBuck007 either way i likes ar tonelico ~ and that was from AT 1; at 2 has a more active battle system (sort've like guitar hero mixed with mana khemia and etc.) and at3 has a full 3d fighting system somewhat reminiscent to the tales series (if theres one thing to like about it, its the fighting system, no denying that)

well either way i do hope you find a game your interested in; but try not to have too high of an expectation or what not: since thats what generally ruins a games image :|

Im really glad From Software didnt give into the people saying the game was to hard and is actually making this one even harder! i'd make it IMPOSSIBLE to get through the battles without getting hit atleast once... and i would have every boss be able to kill you in one hit no matter how strong you are.
