Why don't you just provide a service that people need instead of trying to "motivate" them. People need solutions more than motivation. 1 billion people suffer from hunger in this world. In the 1st world millions suffer from depression, isolation, dissatisfaction in jobs & relationships, they realize they are contributing to the destruction of the planet, they don't need MORE MONEY, they need better alternatives for living.
This is exactly right. I discovered myself that your life is as good as the decisions you make, and that if you don't control your life, life will control you, like a ball that falls to the ground as nothing intervenes with its downward trajectory. But I forgot, and I decided to run my life like the government runs the economy, i.e. hands off. Big mistake.
If you let things take their course, something will go wrong. It's like rolling a golf ball down a hill and hoping it will go to the hole.
I grew up with a strong sense of feeling bad about myself. I used to read tons of self-help stuff, but was unable to do much with it. I knew it made sense, but that feeling of "badness" always got in the way. Life has been a journey of discovering myself (or rediscovering myself). I think we all need to realize that we're doing the best with can at any given point in our lives. After years of trying to understand myself I'm JUST NOW experiencing the rays of hope for a better life!
I started listening to Tony Robbins in the early 90's. I always loved his energy. Listening to him I decided to write down my goals and many of them have been acheived. I can give him credit for the motivation that I received.
hey marko1318! the answer to your question is wisdom...when we decide something it doesnt always meen it's going to be the right decision, but we should at least think about it, don't u think?
hey everybody, ive just lisyened in and did you guys including anthony that what tony is talking about , desicions that govern our destiny and how our decisions carve the path of our lives and how pretty much how we think and act shapes our lives is what the buddha discovered through enlightenment over 2500 years ago, mental thoughts is were it starts then action, so b4 we act we should think 1st. watch your thoughts.!
Robbins has been one of many who have helped me on my path, but no self-help guru has all the answers for somebody's transformation.
It surprises me how many people quickly label him a scam artist. Have you read his books? Listened to his CDs?
Look at what he's saying here: making decisions will transform your life. People who hate him will say "Duh, yeah, like that's so intelligent" but these are the same people who've DECIDED to work in a miserable factory for 40 years at a low pay rate.
Like he says, it's easy to KNOW that decisions are the only way to success, but how many people put that information to USE? I've long known that if I am to succeed in life, I have to execute my plans, but I haven't always used this idea. Easier said than done? Maybe. But anyone can do what they conceive they shall do. They just have to do it. It sounds so simple, but a bad life is easier to live.
That's a great point: "A bad life is easier to live." Maybe it's not "bad" but unfulfilling.
Don't be too hard on yourself for not following through or making some bad decisions. What I've found with myself is, I can only take action based on my current level of awareness. If I was taught to believe that "I'll always be poor" I'm going to avoid opportunities to make money until I let go of that belief.
An unfulfilling life is easier to live because it doesn't take a lot to get nowhere. But it takes something to get somewhere, and as this video shows, that something is enacting your decision. Don't beat yourself up about not enacting it, but don't let yourself be lazy again. Say, "Okay. From now on, I'm going to enact every decision I make. Forget the past. If there's something I don't like, I must change it. If I don't feel like doing anything, I'll make myself feel like doing it. Boom. Now."
Yep, you're right. The past will get in the way IF we let it.
Let's face it, if I set a goal to open up my own business, I've got to be prepared to struggle, make mistakes, correct course, take lots of action. If I'm unwilling to do it, it's time to open the want ads and search for simply "a job and a paycheck." It's a choice.
1) Find what you like/want and pursue it vigorously
2) If you want to do something, decide to make it happen
If you dont know what you want or what you want to pursue, get out there and try something new, ask someone you know what their doing see what they are trying.
I myself found that opening statement hard to understand, and I'm not sure about what that means either, but perhaps it has to do with the fact that most of us spend our lives making wonderful plans instead of also making sound decisions that would lead to the achievement of those great plans. I'm definitely getting as much information from Tony's work as possible.
Great video, what an amazing soul, I have been blessed to be mentored by Tony over the years and my life changed in a heartbeat. Just what is needed at this time

1) Find what you like/want and pursue it vigorously
2) If you want to do something, decide to make it happen
If you dont know what you want or what you want to pursue, get out there and try something new, ask someone you know what their doing see what they are trying.
