  • @MrRabit1993 That's okay, if they went to sell this tuna, at 700lbs, it could fetch $250,000USD in certian Japanese markets.

  • isnt it under protection?

  • ummmm 3000 cans of tuna ?

  • @Robish123321 lol Bluefin aren't used to make shitty canned tuna. They are used to make some very very expensive sushi.

  • 5:45 why the... do you take the camera in picture? personnally id take the fish but you know, your choice.

  • @MrIloveparis23 cost?

  • @MrIloveparis23 up to 350k if its got high fat content and your customer is japanese

  • @MrIloveparis23 In January 2011 the 754 pound tuna sold on the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo for US$396,700 - the highest price for a single fish since records began in 1999

  • If i was there i would grave my flyers and snap.

  • lol ive caught a 102lb tuna biggest catch ever for me this just makes me want to s

    myself

  • poor fishy

  • @oopxe789 go enjoy your salad

  • The bluefin tuna is near commercial extinction because of japans dirty greed , it's this kind of fishing I don't object to , but commercial fishermen with large nets i do

  • @280az amen bro, amen

  • @280az good comment, sport fishing is a drop in the bucket compared to commercial net fishing. if all fishing was single hook and line, the fish populations would be doing very well.

  • Its ridiculous that the world record bluefin tuna is more than twice the size of that one.

  • Time for that fish door

  • Check this EPIC battle from Australia!!! 1100 Pound Black Marlin - Formula 1 Game Fishing - at dvdesign11 link below!

Filmed off-shore from Port Douglas Queensland Australia - Don't forget to rate and share!

  • nooo a 500 pound tuna in japan good quality sold for 200k

i love sashimi tuna, especially toro, hm...yummy....

  • sashimi for days!

  • a fish in 7 hours? bloody hell

  • @w3iho haha marlin fights can be longer. got a friend whos dad fought a black marlin in panama for 13... of course of of the engines died so it was basically him hand cranking the thing for 5 or 6 hours. hell of a story

  • [$2$]

  • a door would be a good investment after this

  • @Trisomy13 ok don't exaggerate, maybe about 15-20.000$

  • that fish is worth $30,000 in japan

  • @saitokthx Not the way they bruised that fish. Might be worth 1/2 that...they'd be massacred for the quality.

  • @bbnnkk1 because that gators dead...the tunas not, and besides, tuna rape gators

  • Wow how co,me it only take two people to get in a 800 pound gator on swamp people?

  • wow

  • Thanks for pointing out a tournament is not the same thing as jackpot fishing on a party boat and is a TEAM effort. I would have thought after hearing the angler handed off his rod to the Captain for the final assist he would be inot be eligible for the jackpot. Can multiple anglers tug on the same fish and because it's a team you are not penalized. I saw a gal loose her jackpot fish once because she handed her rod off to a crew member and it was contested. What happens with shark bites?

  • holy moly.. teamwork ftw!

  • it prob died from rippin the floor hahah when you guys got it up

  • gonna go open my can of tuna.

  • how did it taste?

  • or maybe...blood loss, forgot about that one...

  • @bpsombekke ....you forgot old age as well

  • why did it die while still being reeled in? wasn't it just tired, burnt up. 5 hours of battling will do that to anyone. or does is there another reason, like temperature differences? (which could also influence metabolism)... or gas bubbles in blood stream?...

  • and thats why i like my tuna in a can ......nice catch

  • fish door woulda been kinda helpful haha

  • Mad Props from New Jersey!

  • They must be using lion flavored bait.

  • WOW

  • HAHAHAHA LMFAO AT 4:25

  • Man, lucky some other fish didn't pop up and eat it xD

    But seriously, that's damn amazing.

  • Bluefin tuna

  • That's a catch of a lifetime. Good job!

  • I want my tuna sammich

  • that thing is 7 times bigger than me

  • thats why you get a boat with a door in it so you open the door and slide it on it

  • thats a HUGE tuna

probably.. 200 cans of tuna right there

  • great advertising for your charter business!!!1

  • what an effort, good work now thats a lot on tuna to eat !!!!

  • wow that's gigantic

  • how old are they when they're that huge?

  • what bait did you use???????

  • Ha! That big fish is full of poisonous mercury.

  • a full grown 800 pound tuna+ 20 or 30 of his friends > than a lion

  • why do they not have a door in the back to pull those kind of fish in instead of trying to bring them over the rail?

  • Thats alot of tuna and mayo sandwiches.

  • CONGRAT's...on the catch of a lifetime

  • tuna sandwiches for life--lols

  • nice fish dude!!

  • Nice fishing

  • They just sold a bluefin 700 blue fin tuna in Japan for 600,000 dollars.....hope you guys made at least half of that...

  • boat wasn't designed for fishing tuna i guess.

  • That's an expensive fish right there!!!

  • OMG< nice joob guys :)

  • 0.0 that is awesome

  • haha you guys are lucky a shark didnt get it

  • lol...bet you bring it on board by the head next time. Nice catch

  • Tuna: You know what? Lion tastes good! Lets go get some more lion!

  • Tuna: If im gonna die.. Im taking you down with me!

  • I would had sold it to the Japanese for a lot of money. You would probably profit closed to $10k to $15k for that size. Blue fin tuna is scarce in Japan.

  • @GuyJeni Bluefin is scarce everywhere. In fact, endagered. With bluefin populations everywhere on the brink of collapse, we need to stop fishing for them and we need to stop eating them. Do a little research and see for yourself.

  • here fishy fishy fishy...

  • ready set pull... ARRRRGH, ready set pull..... ARRRRRGHHH, ready set pull....... aAAAARRHHHHHHGHHHH

  • I'm pretty sure you killed the fish with those huge hooks. LOL @ it died underwater

  • 25.88 * 700 = $18 116 looks like they just made a lot of money!

  • oh my gosh!! that was huge!!!! i didnt know blue fin tuna could be so damn big! could it be the endanger species now?

  • wheres the bigfishdoor?

  • the best guide for Tuna fishing... i studied from it so much, i recommend for everyone to take a look...

    good luck :)

  • That is one big sow, worth big bucks!! very nice...

  • how long was it

  • holly cow

  • you could play a football game on that deck!

  • I dont like sports at all. I dont like fishing. Just wasn't my thing. i never considered fishing a sport honestly, but i got into this vid. I wanted to see that big catch. It was interesting to me because I always wondered how the guys near coastal areas catch such big fish. i know nothing ab out lures or lines, it just looks like little string to me. I dont know anything about that.maybe deep sea/big game fishing has stronger string dunno. This vid i enjoyed fishing for the first time. Thanks!

  • that's a big ass chicken.

  • Now thats what you call a "super cow"

  • No cellar door????

  • i dont think ahab would agree

  • what kind and size boat? deck looks pretty large?

  • you really cant hide from stupid trolls that attack your vids in the most stupid manner it can ever be. still, even if it didnt die on the line, you should keep it, its worth a share for all those who helped you. just ignore those trolls sufferring from severe insecurity level.

  • is this the one where it didnt count in the tournament??? and ya towed it in??? too bad... the japanese woulda loved that boy if it hadnt been streesed and died on line!! oops i guess it aint the same one~~ nice fish though

  • @BIGJOHNTON80

towed it in? at what point did you not notice them bringing it into the boat?

  • Just a suggestion, dunno if it affects the boat or anything, but you should get a big door at the back of the boat so you can open it then pull the fish in :)

  • that's a mother of all Blue fin tuna, Captain was really awesome ..

  • Nice Catch :)

  • wow..good thing you caught it all on video. here in our country that is one noble deed with all of you helping, we call it "bayanihan".

  • lol. THe whole thing was so suspenseful!

  • The REAL challenge is to take a tuna like that under water. I am a fishermen, but I always throw back a catch. Why would you need to keep it? The thrill is done once you catch a glimpse of the big fish and pulled it in. after that if you keep it its dumb.

  • @agenthelios1 - You either didn't watch it all or didn't listen. The fish died on the line. What would you have done? Let it rot?

  • @pdossjr I heard that, but in the ocean food doesnt rot. There are plenty of animals that would have eaten him.

Did you at least pay your respects to the fish by eating him?

Its an amazing fish. I dont wanna come off as some PETA loon, I fish all the time. Plus I think Peta are whining fags.

  • @pdossjr Nah bro.. food for a yr!

  • @pdossjr what did you guys do with it?

  • @CavalerVlah Like I said in the description, the captain shot the video and I just posted it online for him. The guy that caught it offered to answer some questions about it but I haven't heard back from him.

  • @pdossjr So then you ate it, right? It must've been good... o3o I fish for the meat. =3

  • @Lunerlol Like I said in the description, the captain shot the video and I just posted it online for him. The guy that caught it offered to answer some questions about it but I haven't heard back from him.

  • @pdossjr good point there, I wouldn't waste such a great catch, I'd take it home, process it, and have my freezer full for a year

  • @pdossjr In nature...nothing is wasted. The word "rot" doesn't exist. It would have been food for other animals. But pulling it up was the right call after a 5 hour fight, at least for the pic and the video. Nice job!

  • @agenthelios1 because a giant tuna that size gets sold for big bucks

  • @agenthelios1 you would probably keep more fish if you had to pay a few grand on just fuel to go fishing.. not to mention you would never see a fish like that because it would have taken all the line off of your bass reel. i consider this a pretty REAL challenge when you fight a fish for 5 hours then barely get it in the boat with 10 people!!! congrats pdossjr

  • @agenthelios1 Dude, you know how much people on the peer will pay you for that fish? you'll walk away with about 5-8k

  • @agenthelios1 not if its fish for sashimi or sushi or even just good for consumption. if it's something thats inedible then yeah it wld be dumb.

  • @agenthelios1

i agree with you catch and release
