All in all, it's not really worth being a male in Gensokyo, apparently.

Oh yeah, totally. Counting the humanoid-looking ones, you've got... ... Rinnosuke, Youki Konpaku, Byakuren's (dead) brother and Marisa's unnamed father. Everyone but Rinnosuke's just been /mentioned/, no real appearances.

Oh, and half of Shingyoku (the ying-yang orb from Highly Responsive to Prayers which had a male and female form). But aside from that, you've got Genji, Unzan and... I think that's it. So yeah, less than a dozen male Touhou characters of any note.

I know who you're talking about with the robotic eye. That's from the Seihou series, the sister series of Touhou. Seihou has alot of differences from Touhou, but ZUN is responsible for both.

It's too bad that characters like Wriggle don't get much love, since she's pretty badass for a stage 1 boss. Not as badass as Mokou, but still pretty badass.
