  • @xoxolilasianbabyxoxo This is a Greg Bennett Samich UK70 Concert Ukulele. It's a great little uke, one of my favorites.

  • whats the strumming?

  • that is sooooo fkn shit....

  • Beautiful. will you marry me?

  • hahah.. thats a BIG Soprano ukulele...

hahah... i think i ment, Concert...

    anyways.. pretty good for Begginers..

thanks for make this vid for them noobcuTLeTs!

  • practice makes perfect :D

  • Funny, huh? It makes me laugh, too - of course this video is not perfect, I meant it as in "let's all keep practicing because it helps us play better".

  • Its not nessecery that the video is perfect. I could lern from it and thats awesome

  • uhmmm yeah. why white ppl dont play the uke! haha!

  • Witty

  • isnt a soprano smaller...i thnk its a concert...i dont kno lol...well nice tutorial

  • Yes - it's a Concert ... I guess I always say Soprano because it's the same tuning as Soprano and many people don't know Tenor or Concert. But excellent point, and thanks for the correction. :)

  • dont listen to those who call you names aunty... you doing good..

apreciate tha help... hope to see more soon

    =]

    keep the aloha going!

    bye!!

  • aye...juss wanted to let u know that the E minor key u first showed us is right but u dont need to press the top string with your pinky. u juss need the bottom three.

  • So sad that you missed the whole point. I'm not a pro, I'm not perfect (I said practice makes perfect to encourage everyone to remember to keep trying), I'm sharing an easy way for other amateurs to fake their way through a song or two.

  • but he chunks too ... where does that come in =(

  • This isn't a video which teaches exactly how Chris Ramos plays or sings, it's an amateur "simplified" down version of how to have fun faking your way through the song. Music is to each his or her own style - keep practicing and trying new techniques and you may discover things that even professional teachers couldn't impart to you.

  • Nice lesson flow..You are a natural..This ole cdgure don't give many compliments ya know! :)

  • Fake Em? lol

  • hey u look like my auntie. im serious.! and can u also make tutorials for other island music like from ekolu, etc. i luv island music but im just a beginner. thx

  • Thank you soo much for the Video =]

  • very clear and you can just repeat it to get the fingering right:)

thanks, very helpful, especially the fake Em -makes it easier

  • I almost got it but i mess up ...

    can you help me ?

  • brah learn how fo strum um right.

u gotta scratch it not mute it..

    n dat aint perfect..

  • And thanks for that mini tutorial in the science of strumming. Like I state in my vids, I'm not a pro. I did a post talking about strumming technique and how it should be unique to each individual's style. For this video, I show the chords, not strumming technique. This is obviously not for advanced players, but for those beginners out there who may have picked up a uke and want to practice making music. If you can, post a video response to show us how it's done. That would help us out more.

  • I can see what he means by "dat aint perfect",

but you just missed a few strums toward the end of the video,

I am a beginner too and I payed a lot of attention to learn this, so thats how I noticed

but you are a great ukulele player and this vid provided me a cool new strum pattern and good chords

muting, scratching, like you said, it's about your style, and I can see what you mean by that.

    keep up the good vids

  • whats a you-ku-lay-lee?

  • The ukulele (pronounced "oo-koo-lay-lee")is a small Hawaiian stringed instrument which was developed in the late 1800s. The instruments have four strings and are generally (traditionally) shaped in a figure-eight shape, like a miniature guitar. Ukuleles come in all shapes, sizes, and materials now. My personall collection of over 25 "ukes" includes some that are almost as tall as I am!

  • aint it pronounced "oo-koo-leh-leh"

well thats how we all pronounce it here

  • Yeah thats actually true.. what race are yooh?

  • His name is Da808Tabs.

    He's obviously Hawaiian.

Or born and raised in Hawaii.

  • Hey can you teach us how to play sublime "Santeria"? x] thanks

  • or "down down down down up down up down"

  • Actually, yes, you are right. And I finally broke down and posted a video response with some strumming technique shown. In my new video, I strum with a slightly different rhythm, which I like a little better. Play around with it, I think strumming should be unique to each individual's style. ;)

  • but for anyone who's tried and still cma't get it,it's "down,down,up,up,up,down,up,down".I'm pretty sure,anyway.

  • for all you people asking for struming:I'M PRETTY SURE YOU HAVE EARS.LISTEN TO IT.

  • great video....STRUMMING? PLS!

  • NNIIIIICCCEEE!!!

  • can you please show how to strum the song? im a begginer and i need help!!!!lol love the video!!

  • Great video...The "fake Em" is Em7...What about the right hand (strumming)?
