0:38 about to lose the war? The war that we were fooled into going? Scumbag. As of today, and after over 4,000 of our men, and women dead, what have we gained? Nothing. Bring our troops home NOW!!!
One important point... There where no wmd's, nor was there any active production of wmd's. The yellowcake that was found in Iraq was purchased prior to 1991 and was not being used.
your racist ignorant attitude leaves me speechless. you're not voting for OBAMA because of his name and race...by the way, he's half white, dipshit. it reminds me of a 2year old who won't eat his vegetables because they're a funny color. do the world a favor and drown your children...because they will no doubt be as stupid as you. do some researh that doesn't include fox news and maybe someday you'll actually have something intelligent to say...asswipe.
Hey John, we lost the war in Iraq the day we invaded! An unjustified war is an atrocity and your support of it proves you unfit for office. Didn't you learn ANYTHING from Vietnam??????
8)The rest of the world will most definitely have more respect for the US having him as a leader compared to McCain.
9)Will put an end to tax cuts for the wealthy and use that money to fund foster care and education.
10)Will push for oil drilling in the 70 million or so acres of land that have been untouched and are already allowed for drilling instead of drilling off coasts and in fragile environments.
They are all good reasons but do you actually think the Obama is going to do everything you put on that list? How do you know what he is going to do for Gays? Is he just saying that to swing the gay vote or does he mean it?He is not going to cut taxes for the poor or wealthy. He has no foreign policy.
He would do much better at foreign policy than any Republican could ever do. Did you not see how much the world loved him the past week? George Bush has destoryed alliances with unjust wars and torture. Countries that once loved us, hate us. How do you know McCain will do what he promises? As a gay person I have much more trust for someone who already has spoken out and voted for gay rights than McCain and republicans who use homophobia and bigotry to get elected.
Vote him if you think he atleast wouldnt go to another war.....some 5000 miles away from you.Over 600000 people are are dead in this unnecessary war. Let him do nothing rather than have somebody who gonna kill people, goto wars without reason, support wars and such psuedo nationalists are only good to be mocked at.
Regardless of what is said the situation in Afga. is getting worse. Iraq is getting better and Obama will not admit that the "surge" worked. So what makes you think that he won't lie about what he says in the list that you provided me with. The guy is a fraud.
When the Iraq war was going badly, you people said we couldn't leave. Now when its going better, you still say we can't leave. Barack Obama hasn't defended the surge because an exit strategy would be the best solution. Whats McCain's plans for iraq? Stay the course and keep troops there, occupying a country that doesn't belong to us?
If American cities were controlled by 150,000 Iraqis or Iranians there would be no peace or victory until they were dead or gone....no two ways about that! Now, what is victory for the US in Iraq (or Iran) and how long will it take? Why would they put up with US any longer than we'd put up with them?
All the gains weren't worth one death or $3,000,000,000,000. Fools and our money have easily been parted. John wants to forget this stuff and party down.
McCain's message to the nation: It's all right to start an unnecessary war and sacrifice thousands of our soldiers and innocent civilians as long as we win the unnecessary war. The more he repeats this the more unnecessary it is to listen to him. McSame, the Unnecessary Candidate!
Now the national bullshitters are telling us we won the war in iraq. Won what??? It started as bullshit, and will end as bullshit! And just because we only lose thirty five dead troops a month now doesn't all of a sudden make a sack of shit into a gold monument. We have won nothing, and we never will win anything,,,because we had no business there in the first place..
McCain is a smart man though. but he has to understand that we, the american people are sick of a republican in the white house..we want something else..somethintg new..something like obama
The US kicked your Serbian ass. The arrest of Radovan Karadzic could mark the turning point in a protracted struggle by a new generation of pro-western modernisers to gain control over Serbia's notorious security forces and point the country westwards. He was a fugitive after having been indicted for war crimes, including genocide, against Bosnian Muslim and Bosnian Croat civilians during the Bosnian War, a war of Serbian and Croatian aggression. Tens of thousands of non-Serbs were killed.
This I think is the biggest problem with america(ns) is that their world is little bubble that revolves around themselves, not realizing what they do to others. They say how Saddam was such a bad man and don't even realize that their sanctions from the first gulf war are estimated to have killed 500 000 people. That this war has killed (at lowest estimates) 100 000 people.
the war over there is being fought in the wrong country.. It started in afghanistan did it not? i might be a stupid canadian,, but if some dude pisses me off,, i dont go to his house and kill his neigbours because hes hidden somewhere and im too lazy to look for him.. i burn his house down and tell his neigbours to stay out of it if they knew what was good for them.
The Iraq war has already been lost and anybody with an IQ of at the very least 50 can see this. For anybody who supports the troops , they are dying out there for nothing. Over $5 Billion lost, vanished, they've misplaced a few million barrels of oil and to date, over $1 Trillion spent. At home .. gas prices have and are over $4 and the housing markets have crashed. They just pushed $15 Billion to help the, wait for it , the mortgage companies. Not one home owner will see that money.
"victory" with "honor" from the national disgrace of an aggressive, illegal, immoral, debacle of a war based on lies? Iraq is still a 'Made in America' humanitarian nightmare of historical proportions. Near 1 million DEAD, millions more homeless. Have you seen video of the kids living in tents with raw sewage, garbage, oppressive heat and disease all around them? This isn't a 'noble' just cause war that must be won, lets apologize for the bush league neo-clowns f up & go home already.
there is no such thing as 'noble' war. there is no war that does not leave millions dead, and children roaming the streets. there is no war that is not based on deception, lies, and ulterior motives.
war is war. just because the worst is seen in the iraq war doesn't mean that you won't see it elsewhere.
Iraq was completely unnecessary and based on big lies from a little man. This is nothing but a disgraceful war of choice for the banker gangsters, DC mafia, and other Bilderberg elitist scum who play monopoly with the world. How can anyone polish that turd into an emotion (honor) & subjective noun (victory) that some crazy old man wants?
McCain: Let's not talk about the big picture or what Iraqis or the American people want; let's talk about minutia & hypotheticals and how we can keep the Neocons' dream of global emperialism alive.
If you want more war, McCain's your man. There is a reason he was fourth from the bottom of his graduating class at the Naval Academy...its called IQ.
Both these candidates are idiots and are way over their head.
But, that doesn't matter! These are the candidates that have been pumped down our throats by the mainstream media. The same media that would hold on to the myth that S.H. was a threat to the US. If he was a threat to Israel why didn't they bomb him, as they saw fit, just like they did to an Iraqi nuclear power plant in 1982?
If McCain believes the surge is working, and we're close to victory, why did he say his vision was that troops come home in 2013?? 4-5 more years in Iraq if we're so close to victory?? That doesn't make fucking sense, Senator!
Obama's withdrawal plan says we withdraw within 16 months. Isn't that enough time to let the surge work more and allow for victory? Surely we can secure Iraq a lot more in 16 months and let the Iraqis take over.
the surge is working? We are paying 10 billion dollars per month for it to work.. whats worse is that we cant fucking afford it. We are in a 9 trillion dollar deficit.. we use to be in a surplus when clinton left office but 8 years after that we have been in a major deficit and whats worse is that McBush wants to spend 10 billion dollars per month to sustain what we have.. how do u actually win the war.. we didnt find wmds so should we be outta there instead of blowing up homes?
Obama fails to impress especially when you look at how he flip-flops and that he declared himself the most loyal servant the Jewish Lobby has had in all times. Obama is in love with AIPAC, not American people.
LOL. That's hilarious, you're calling Obama a flip-flopper. I won't even tell you all the times McSame has flipped, then flopped. I really thought everyone knew that. I could also look up some stuff McCain has said about Israel, but won't waste anymore time with you. Ha, ha. You're funny.
NONE...He isn't flip flopping...Obama is a misguided individual having his cronies feed him the information and he still can't get it right and it's right..Oh wait he gets it right..it's on the teleprompter..it's just not correct..He needs to take some history lessons...
Well if you wish to get technical old man....I am wasn't criticizing the man..I was stating an opinion but since you're so high on your horse..I might think about what you say for a moment..or maybe I won't think twice..Have a great night!!
Uhm... Countrygurl - first, speak English. Second, McCain was against torture before he was for it, he was against Bush's tax cuts before he was for them, he was for timetables before he was against them and then for them again. Speaking of having cronies feeding information, I think Lieberman needs to permanently follow McCain around, because McCain doesn't know the price of gas, of milk or anything else. Lieberman will have to continuously whisper in McCain's ear.
McCain is a senile bastard. I do not even see him as a viable candidate. But Obama disappointed lots of people. He takes them for granted. But no. If he does not respect, he will not get our votes. Nader.
For sure. People just assume if you hate Mccain your for Obama which couldnt be further from the truth. This country would be way better off with Nader or Barr but Ron Paul always has my support.
You didn't mention that it was done "without the knowledge" of either of those presidents.
Also, the second half of your paragraph didn't show enough fact over opinion. Rumsfeld was there playing BEFORE Sadam became notorious. Later, Democrats used it to downplay his political career and post that kind of image in your mind. He doesn't control Hussein the same way Obama doesn't control Jeremiah Wright.
and now the US is giving the Saudis Nukes. What's McCain's views on that or the Israeli bombing test runs or arms sales to other rogue nations or boosting China's economy so they can buy and build more WMDs without human rights agreements.
It's not a hypothesis, it's a fact. Go watch more news(don't forget to figure out which is news and which is liberal bullshit.)
Also "Obama has been consistent in his opposition to the war. That has been consistent with the tide of public opinion in America." is also untrue. There was support for this war before it was waged.
Thank you, no. I think I'll just stick to the official record and other reputable sources. Then I shall come to my own conclusions and discuss the issues with those whom I trust, as most rational people do. I don't need my opinions handed to me wrapped in partisan sound-bites.
"There was support for this war before it was waged."
Stable, at the very least, is ridding Al Qaeda from Baghdad.
War is a dirty job, but this one, I'm sure, is fought for a reason. I'm pretty fucking damn sure my friend died for a cause. And before you start something, I'm pretty damn sure it was a terrorist's roadside bomb, not Bush, who killed him.
Al Qaeda? please, hardly a concern. Iraqi sheikhs and their tribesmen started killing AQI on their own rather than compete / share power with the new comers Puritanical version of Islam. "Terrorist" is a moniker for "pissed off Iraqi", would you not fight back against a foreign occupation that invaded the USA based on lies, killed / tortured your family / friends, left you homeless, exposed to criminals, and turned the civilized place you used live into the apocalypse for nothing?
But to "eft you homeless, exposed to criminals, and turned the civilized place you used live into the apocalypse for nothing?" ....why do you think we're still there?
We're trying to rebuild Iraq WHILE defeating the last of Al-Qaeda in Iraq?
Why, indeed, are we still there other than to seize oil distribution profits and give Bush/Cheney's friends at Haliburton/KBR and Blackwater carte blanch to loot our National Treasury?
AQI is a fabricated enemy (most likely, in my opinion, an elaborate "false-flag" operation) with nothing whatsoever to do with Osama Bin Laden's C&C operation on the Pakistan frontier.
The Congressional Research Service noted in its September 2007 report that attacks from "al-Qaeda in Iraq" are less than two percent (2%) of the violence in Iraq and criticized the Bush administration's statistics, noting that its false reporting of insurgency attacks as AQI attacks has increased since the "surge" operations began.
But, I'm sure WBS will maintain that CRS is wrong...simply because FOX News and FreePress say otherwise. It's useless to argue with the misinformed.
Mmm. I never said that, you're making assumptions. And FOX News doesn't deny facts either, obviously as much bull as the flag-burners in Berkeley.
Also, can you show me the CRS report? I'd like to see that you didn't get it from NY Times or Newsweek, who btw, are just as trustworthy as Fox News... That being said, I trust CNN more, while MSNBC is obviously leaving out(not making up, not even FOX does) facts that would give conservatives a case...
I'm not here to plug holes in your ignorance. You can find the Congressional Research Service report the same way I did; by looking for it.
As I wrote earlier, if you are relying on corporate media outlets to educate you on the issues of the day (1) you're a dupe and (2) you're behind the curve. Do your own research and go directly to the sources.
Did yall see donald trump on fox and friends? With steve and gretchen, he said " The bush yrs were horrible , but I know this is not the network to say that on"! They sat quiet like "yea,u right"! please tell me somebody saw it, cuz geraldo was on the couch being interviewed at the same time! They usually say throw up their "we report fact that others dont" spin, but they sat quiet and allowed that one! Maybe cuz its true?
Another stable stronghold in the Middle East, and the US companies starting to invest in Iraq for American profit.
Emphasis on the first point, "Another stable stronghold in the Middle East," it's a massive step to stopping terrorists, more than your liberal newscasters will admit.
35,000+ US casualties can attest to the peace & stability in Iraq today... matter of fact dude, I think you should take a holiday in Fallujah to see 1st hand good old American imported peace & stability. Wrap yourself in a US flag & walk on stilts with an uncle sam mask, I'll take bets on how many seconds you live.
Islam sucks.

I totally reject McCain's hypothesis that "The Surge" won the war and needs to be supported...
...or the more ridiculous claim that that Obama needs to retroactively endorse "The Surge" in order to win the Presidency.
Obama has been consistent in his opposition to the war. That has been consistent with the tide of public opinion in America.
Obama doesn't need to alter his message an iota in order to kick Grampa's sorry ass in November.

Huh?
dogstar7 3 years ago
52% of Americans supported the Iraqi Invasion, that's your "huh"
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
Such was the cloying perfidy of the lies we were sold.
And your point?
dogstar7 3 years ago
Do you know who the 'reliable' sources about whether Iraq had WMDs were?
If not, ask me and I'll tell you.

Debate history with someone else.
I'm not getting sucked into the "who did we believe and when did we believe them?" il-logic rhombus loop.
I'm calling "BULLSHIT" on your whole premise.

The War in Iraq is a dark period in History---and we're still living it!
If you would insist on the "success" of The Surge, then bring our Troops home NOW in HONOR and declare VICTORY!
I don't care, just make it STOP!
dogstar7 3 years ago
Okay. But I'm not the one who is backing off arguing with logic.
But next time you see a conservative and call him or her "close-minded." Think of what you just said.
"If you would insist on the "success" of The Surge, then bring our Troops home NOW in HONOR and declare VICTORY!"
The job's not done. "Success" means it is showing strong results.
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
Also, we are fighting terrorists:
Google Al-Qaeda in Iraq

"The job's not done..."
What job is that, Sgt. Slaughter?
Another on-line Rambo heard from, I guess. The sly use of understatement when it comes to the bloody "job" of WAR is a dead give-away.
Once again WBS directs me to consult some supposed directory of fact.
Google, like the Bible, can be used to verify, justify or validate anything.

Leaving Iraq stable.
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
Al Qaeda? please, hardly a concern.
Govtflu 3 years ago 2
Were we under a dictatorship?
Did we use WMDs on oth... I'll take that back.
But to "eft you homeless, exposed to criminals, and turned the civilized place you used live into the apocalypse for nothing?" ....why do you think we're still there?
We're trying to rebuild Iraq WHILE defeating the last of Al-Qaeda in Iraq?
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
WBS asks: "why do you think we're still there?"
Why, indeed, are we still there other than to seize oil distribution profits and give Bush/Cheney's friends at Haliburton/KBR and Blackwater carte blanch to loot our National Treasury?
AQI is a fabricated enemy (most likely, in my opinion, an elaborate "false-flag" operation) with nothing whatsoever to do with Osama Bin Laden's C&C operation on the Pakistan frontier.
dogstar7 3 years ago 2
....They are members of the same Al-Qaeda. Wherever they are, they will try to make another terrorists attack.
Why try to fight them in the outback when we can first create a stronghold in the center?
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
The Congressional Research Service noted in its September 2007 report that attacks from "al-Qaeda in Iraq" are less than two percent (2%) of the violence in Iraq and criticized the Bush administration's statistics, noting that its false reporting of insurgency attacks as AQI attacks has increased since the "surge" operations began.
But, I'm sure WBS will maintain that CRS is wrong...simply because FOX News and FreePress say otherwise. It's useless to argue with the misinformed.
dogstar7 3 years ago
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
I'm not here to plug holes in your ignorance. You can find the Congressional Research Service report the same way I did; by looking for it.
As I wrote earlier, if you are relying on corporate media outlets to educate you on the issues of the day (1) you're a dupe and (2) you're behind the curve. Do your own research and go directly to the sources.
dogstar7 3 years ago 2
*sigh*
It's funny how you're insulting where I get my facts, yet you don't mention where they are factually incorrect.

Whatever...
Listen, if you just want the last word, go right ahead. It's not as if you're presenting an effective argument, anyway.

America lost the war the day they invaded Iraq. The moral war. and that's is lost forever so McCain lost his face respect to the entire world.
The real Iraq war? It's just another American videogame which disrespect Iraq and the Iraqi people

It's disrespectful for bringing peace and stability to a country. ROFLMAO.
Good point.
WaffleBakingStar 3 years ago
35,000+ US casualties can attest to the peace & stability in Iraq today... matter of fact dude, I think you should take a holiday in Fallujah to see 1st hand good old American imported peace & stability. Wrap yourself in a US flag & walk on stilts with an uncle sam mask, I'll take bets on how many seconds you live.
