Hey man, I love the tone you get out of your board, that's the exact set-up I'm working towards, including the Doozy! Question; are those George L patch cables?
Awesome board. Does the pedalboard have carpet on top so you can velco pedals to it? Also does it sit flat on the ground or is the front inclined a little bit? Does it have a spot undernearth the mount a pedalpower2? Thanks.
I don't know if any one asked, but where did you get your pedal board? did it come with a ATA case or anything like that? I'm in need of a new pedalboard and if its going to cost 200+ i might just get a trailer trash! but i want to spend 100ish! hopefully you will read this :)
hey man i have a vox ac15 too, and i was wondering if you could make a video on your amp settings? What tubes do you use? What speaker is in it? Whats your settings? I really love my amp but wish i knew how to work it better. thanks:)
@dlul7 I haven't had to replace the tubes in my Vox for more than a year and a half. I think I've been lucky. I think the tubes are on the way out though. I play as much as I can. Probably three or so times per week.
@owenstw91 Hey thanks bro! I'm hoping to do a tour of my studio / gear in the coming weeks - so stay tuned for that! For my vox on this video - I think I had volume at like 10 O'Clock and drive at 8 O'Clock (this is off memory).
hi men, i have some questions with the looper.. they have 12 chanels, so you conect 12 pedals to the looper ?? or what, can you explain me how it works, and the volume pedal alson run to the looper or not ???
@juanking1234 Yes you've basically got the idea of it - I can connect 12 pedals to the looper and turn them on / off whenever I like via the looper. The volume pedal runs into a seperate line in the looper so I can influence it seperately.
@julioguitar15 It depends on a few things - I play with all of my distortions at low gain levels and high volume levels. It would also depend on your guitar and the pickups it has.
Excellent demo, really glad you entered the contest with this, I've been wanting to see that switcher demo'd ever since I saw it in your post on UG. I'll be voting in an hour after I see the other three entries. Good luck ;>) Karl aka uzidude aka IbanezBossShred aka AxeMann aka.......lolz
This was a really good demo, its helped me with ideas of what I want to add to me set up. Any in particular that you would recommend for the edgey rock sound with delay's and stuff like that?
@Recycledtyre Thanks man! The looper does clean up your sound heaps and it also helps you with the overall functioning of your board (no more tap dancing to get to the right pedal).
@antaylor0298 I use a Vox AC15 CC1X. All up for the pedals and board board maybe 4 - 5k not really sure though without checking the price of each pedal.
cheers mate. Love the setup you have. Great tones. One of these days, when I finish my pedalboard, 2 pedals away, I'm thinkin bout makin a vid of my setup. :)
Hey I love your board and most of the sounds combined was really nice. I'm pretty much new to pedals, but I own a HD500, looking forward to move out of it someday. I just have one request. Can you put a list of your pedals' name in the description? I couldn't really get some of the names. Maybe starting the list from like top left to right, working your way down.. But if not, what's the name of the black rectangle in the middle bottom? Also thanks for posting a video like this up! It helps alot!
btw....at around 10:45, you played something that had a track or some kind of rhythm sequence. Were you running an external loop, or did you record and playback a loop thru the DD-20 then riff over it?
@tafs7 It wasn't a loop. I just used a galloping delay (DD-5 - dotted eigth and DD-20 - quarter note) on this with the bluesky. The bass tap sound you hear was me palm muting after every chord. I think its one of the coolest things I've made up to date =)
Hello GuitarLOVe may Gbu Always for your talent and dedication. Also for show us your pedalboard and get ideas how to make one too..
I have a question bro, I notice your have like a midi foot controller. Is that possible to control your analog pedals to Activate and Desactivate them? if so, can you tell me your brand?
@ephiphone35 Thank you for the feedback! The 'foot controller' is the 12 looper true bypass from Timon Klein Industries. You are right - basically I keep all of my pedals on at the same time and use the 12 looper to select / deselect each pedal I want on. Hope this helps.
Why does the smaller delay pedal sound cooler than the DD-20? I have the DD-20 and love it. What would be the benefit of adding the DD-7 and using both as a delay at the same time? Would it sound good or horribly muddy?
@duffmobile I use the DD-5 as my main dotted eigth delay with quite a high level of effect and feedback. The DD-20 is set to a quarter note delay with less feedback also. You can see at various times in this video I use the 'galloping delay' - that was using both the DD-5 and DD-20 together.
@GBandsamuraiownage This one is a Timon Klein looper however there are tonnes of places out there that make great loopers. I recommend researching and seeing reviews before you buy though.
I think it's very humble of you to show us your rig ! Great pedalboard man ! what power supply are using and what's voltage is Australia (230 or 115 v) ?
@TheNation21 Hey mate - thanks =) I'm using a Diago power supply and that powers everything on my board (its top right of the board in this video). All the pedals run on 9V.
@ramonUC Don't feel stupid mate - its a legit question. In short, the looper acts as a true bypass between the guitar and the amp. The looper eliminates the sound / feedback / buzz that you would usually get from each pedal being plugged through each other. The looper also allows you to turn on / off what pedals you want without having to tap dance around the board! Hope this helps.
@ausername182 For AVA you will definately need a delay (I use a Boss DD-5). For Green Day, Blink etc you will need a distortion / overdrive pedal. I know Tom Delonge uses a Zac Wylde MXR distortion but personally I would go for a Timmy or a T-Rex drive.
@MyGuitarLove Thanks man, I bought a DD-5 today and can't stop playing with it, brilliant pedal, I'll have listen to a few of those distortion pedals, the sound I want is in my head but it's hard to describe lol, cheers for the reply.
