It is possible to open beer with cd at least in Finland...I have tried many times. Sometimes it works at first time, sometimes not...needs practicing. But it's possible. It doesn't need much power.

It's actually quite easy. You have to hit it with precision and speed. Strength has nothing to do with it. If you try to hit it just hard...you will break the cd and have a unopened bottle.
