  • George and Ringo were innocent in the break up, it's true after Epstein died Paul did try to control The Beatles, John being the offical founder of The Beatles since it was named The Quarrymen would obviously play a role in it, on top of all of them getting families and kids, it got fucked and went downhill after Brian died.

  • hahaha 6:40 "longer then the road that stretches out ahead" *camera turns to Yoko*

    :D

  • Yoko,f... you!!!! X))))

  • Don't blame Paul! Paul's on fire throughout this whole movie. He had the hits, he had the musicianship, while John was intermittent and George seemed disengaged, Paul was in his creative peak!

  • Yoko seems a bit jealous when she sees John and Paul having fun on "Two of Us." At this point it was who did John need more, Yoko or The Beatles? and while Yoko won, it's clear to see John needed The Beatles if nothing else for emotional release.

  • Paul's Elvis impression is priceless.

  • staged rehearsal - not really pauls greatest idea...

i wonder that no one of the other three instantly objected -- they must have believed in their own image a bit too much already...

  • Isn't it interesting how the last two Beatles left alive are the two that are first seen together in this film! And who should come in next? George! And who isn't seen at all? John!

  • @MattHatter If you don't see John you're blind

  • @SoFarSoGoodSoWhat14 I was specifically referring to who you see from 0:46 to 1:52 which at first is just Paul and Ringo (the last two Beatles left), then George enters the picture who died in 2001, then at 1:53 you finally see John. They are in the reversed order of their death!

  • Here are the Beatles wanting to tell each other and the world to f*ck off b/c they were tired of playing the game.

  • teehee at 6:42 the're so funny ^^ and yoko don't like that the're having some fun. Just look at her face at 6:51 D:

  • @miss8capricorn I couldn't, it hurt my retinas.

  • I love how at like 5:18 Paul's all like *hyperplz* and then George is all "Bitch, please."

  • i love how despite all the fighting and tension between them, John and Paul are still able to just goof off and be silly like in the early days during "Two of Us"

    Paul=LOVE

RIP John, we miss you so much.

  • I was afraid that I'd would see a bunch of dumb arguments here about the beatles breaking up, yoko ono, etc etc..sigh..wish people would stop that and just appreciate them...ps i love their hair at this stage esp george and ringo..

  • i cant believe that john left the rest of the beatles for yoko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i mean that the rest of the beatles let john sing all those songs about yoko!!!!!!!!!

    luv the beatles specially paul

  • Geroge gets attacked by the mic!!

  • God bless george!!! pauls yellin at him but he just mkaes peace! :) good job chap

  • John, I know you loved her, but I really hate your wife!

  • Yoko was at the Pitchfork Music Festival in 07 & it was hilarious how many people (including me & my friend) were leaving when she was coming to the stage.

  • @felixramsey are you proud? that's not even funny that's just plain rude. it wasn't her fault that john loved her

  • @lilgantz251 This has nothing to do with whether or not John loved her. This has everything to do with the fact that she cannot sing & is musically worthless. And ugly, too. But that's beside my point.

  • I have the Abbey Road album! Maxwell's Silver Hammer FTW

  • Right. So unless we love Heather Mills we don't love McCartney. Get real.

  • You can't love John unless you love Yoko. Please Love.

  • @TheAKAJACKIE certainly not the most accurate thing I've ever heard....

  • HD AND NOT WIDESCREEN ON MY CHANNEL!!!

  • i think its really yoko why the beatles broke up, why john died early, why john became a 60's hippie. fuck yoko

  • @kielego I wanna know what is wrong with being a hippie??!!

  • @oneawesomebandgeek there weird people, i just dont like them

  • @kielego Well, I like keeping the peace, so I'm not going to give your comment a thumbs down. :\

  • @kielego John and Paul are the reason The Beatles broke up, not Yoko. Paul tried taking control of The Beatles after Brian died, John got involved with Yoko, George was interested in his eastern mysticism and Ringo just stayed out of everyone's way. They all had grown up and grown apart, each with his own interests above the others interests.

  • @MattHatter Its not John and Pauls fault . There were many things that were slowly destroying the Beatles such as the death of Brian and the Allen Klein incident (whos credited for being the one thing that broke up the Beatles.) (Paul didnt try to take over, he wanted his uncle to manage the band but the others wanted Klein) If youve seen or read the Beatles Anthology, there was a time where the Beatles had financial problems. ( something like that) Im positive that it wasnt John Paul or Yoko. )

  • @RandyManStudios That's all very true, but John and Paul's ego clashes played a major part. Where they once could agree on something, near the end of The Beatles they couldn't agree on practically anything such as Allen Klein. They sure as heck didn't need to take on such a monster as Apple at that point in their career. It's like George said in "Anthology," all they basically knew how to do was be Beatles, not businessmen.

  • @MattHatter your right but didnt John realize that Klein was a crook after Paul sued

  • @RandyManStudios Yes he did. So John was capable of making mistakes just as much as Paul was. Too bad they couldn't accept that and move on. But nooooo, John and George were out to destroy Paul's reputation and all that by making Phil Spector the producer of "Let It Be" and so on and so forth!

  • you can tell that Paul practiced far more than the rest of them,he had to think about gtr/bass then piano....

  • i think it was at 5:23 geroge was pricless when he jumps because of the microphone screech

  • 0:25 LES PAUL!!

  • for god sake, anyone who thinks the beatles hated eachother by this point just look at 6:56. Makes me smile

  • 5:19 POOR GEORGE LOL

  • lol "bang bang maxwell's silver hammer made sure JOHN was dead" hahaha paul.

  • 4:50 George's shoes are so cool, look at them! sweet jesus, he's so gorgeous..holy god almighty...

  • They looks very sad.. sigh!

  • At 6.50 it looks like yoko is hiding in the corner and planning the next stage of operation "Get John out of the Beatles"!

  • poor george he kept getting shocked i jumped every time he did it scared me too ITS SO AMAZING how they make it look so easy making all those wonderful songs they make it look effortless

  • @truthinlifeful FUCK YOU!

  • Yoko is such a creep.

  • I'll never understand why the rest of the Beatles were so unenthusiastic about Maxwell's Silver Hammer... it's one of my favourites!

  • @tomdolan07 I'm so with you. Love the song.

  • @tomdolan07 i think it's because Paul made them spend like three days on it. Great song, but it could've been done in much less time.

  • @tomdolan07 I can...it's just not that special of a song.

  • beautiful song

  • Poor Georgie got shocked 2 times :(

  • from the laserdisc?

  • @truthinlifeful Alright. "I would geek out as well during two of us if yoko was standing in the corner looking like a yeti."

  • I like this version of Two of Us!

  • I would geek out as well during two of us if yoko was standing in the corner looking like an asian yeti

  • paul is very attractive in this movie and john

  • @muskypucker ha!

  • I gotta say, although it's so dreary, I do love this film. I wish Paul and Ringo would let it be released, if only for historical reasons. Although, I'm so used to seeing it as a bad dub that it might hinder it to be too cleaned up. It's best when you're sick in bed. All the wobbly audio and extraneous wah-wah and lazy vocals work just fine when you feel about as sick and tired as they must have.

  • Did anyone else wright down what paul was saying at the start to learn how to play Maxwells Silver Hammer? LOL!

  • 5:18 George was like dude? shut up!

  • @rockchick2112 I can't thank you enough for uploading this on here, I've been looking for years, the only hard copies of it about are worn-out West German video cassettes. I gather from the subtitles that's were this is from. I don't think this will ever see the light of day on DVD, it was almost released in 2006 but it was pulled at the last minute. All hail Rock Chick and You Tube!

  • O.o poor George! He was treated like the quiet little brother who stood in the shadows of the towering Paul and John who would both took it out on George and Ringo...

3:47 looks like Paul is jealous tht George is the hottie in this movie and not him

  • This ISN'T a Beatles movie nor a documentary, THIS IS TOURCHURE!!!! How can anyone watch this!?!? I'm srry but even as a beatlemaniac I can't watch this, I love the fact tht sum won put this up on YT but I can't watch any more

  • in spite of being ready to move on, and in spite of personal and economic arguments, they still managed to create amazing music and appear as wonderful as ever- that's true skill!

  • 3:47 why does paul say "bang bang maxwells silver hammer made sure that GEORGE was dead." ?

  • Such a sad time for the Beatles. Cameras in their faces while trying to work together with all the strained relationships and mixed emotions...no wonder it was such a mixed up song production. Still, some gems came out of it. So talented they all were. So tortured in this period.

  • @HoraceLime

This was Paul's idea, to have a documentary follow the whole process of an album from The Beatles. Everyone else agreed to it, so any problems that the cameras caused (very few most likely because The Beatles were already in problems before this) were of their own doing.

  • @DontGetBradGetEvan Yes. George said later that it was a real drag having the cameras in their faces while they were trying to work and that this only made things worse as far as the problems the group was having. The documentry really underscores all this, doesn't it? What?

  • "Bang bang Maxwell's silver hammer made sure that John was dead"-Paul Mccartney

  • 1:14 These are the only 2 left from the band. Sad : (

  • Ringo looks like a stoned edgar allan poe sitting next to that piano.

  • where can i get this?

  • anyone knows the title of the piano piece that paul played in the beginning?...i really need to know..thanks

  • @sumoflone "Adagio For Strings" by Barber

  • Good old Mal Evans...best anvil player in music history! Thanks for posting

  • George looked bored to death "til that mic woke him up.

  • thnx for uploading

  • i love the part where they were singing two of us...it's john and paul just goofing off...classic...

  • First of all, I quite like Maxwell's Silver Hammer. It's not exactly their best song, but it's really catchy and still good quality.

And second of all, I happen to like Yoko. Sure, she could've distanced herself a bit more during intimate recording sessions such as this one, but she didn't purposely try to break up the Beatles just for a laugh. She just wanted to be with John. And John wanted to be with her, because they loved each other.

All right, that's my say on the matter. :3

  • @TheMadifee i sont like yoko. she is responsible fer beatles breakup

  • john is awsome!!!!!!

  • What Ringo And George talking about in the begginning.

  • @ThinkWhatIsNotThunk If it was yoko that split them up, then they deserved it, but it wasn't, listen to Wild Things and then listen to Plastic Ono Band - Wild Things is what paul would've had the next beatles album be, Plastic Ono Band is a radical and revoloutionary musical statement. If you ask me, if anyone split them up, it was Paul, being such a miserable control freak.

  • @ThinkWhatIsNotThunk fuckin right get outta there bitch, fuckin gummin up the works n shit!

  • @ThinkWhatIsNotThunk lmfao (:

  • @ThinkWhatIsNotThunk ha ha ha agreed i think she brought her fucking bed with her at the studio imagine that

  • @ThinkWhatIsNotThunk REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY MAY FEEL ABOUT YOKO'S INFLUENCE ON JOHN,LETS REMEMBER THAT IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER INFLUENCE ON HIM "WE" THE PUBLIC[FANS] WOULD HAVE NEVER HAD THE EXPERIENCE AND JOHN WOULD HAVE NEVER EXPOSED HIS PERSONAL "SELF" TO THE WORLD. IN FACT THAT WAS THE REASON JOHN WENT HIS SEPERATE WAY ANYWAY, TO PERSUE HIS OWN CREATIVITY! TOM D BRICK,NJ

  • @ThinkWhatIsNotThunk, THANK YOU

  • Paul is so in love with John, he can barely contain his giggles when they both are singing Two of Us. That is a pretty funny shot of a clearly jealous and insecure Yoko.

  • george wont touch iti no more

  • where can i buy a version of "two of us" sounding that fast? thats a cool alternate version. or for that matter, a copy of the let it be movie would be cool...

  • @suckerfish989898 its on Beatles Anthology 2 or 3

  • where can i buy a version of "two of us" sounding that fast? thats a cool alternate versio. or for that matter, a copy of the let it be movie would be cool...

  • @suckerfish989898 the Let it Be film is a bootleg, but if you Google it, you can buy copies online. It's not official, but is on VHS and DVD.

  • The Beatles were so much better than this album. They should have just tossed it into the Thames River and started over again.

  • @london2z the album was pretty weak for Beatles standards, but I love this movie.

  • @tylenol2k7 I really enjoyed the movie, too. But it's been almost 40 years since I've seen it. And I agree, by Beatles standards, it ain't much of an album. But compared to most of the stuff out there, especially these days, it's a masterpiece!

  • @london2z Too bad they didn't perform one of their earlier albums up there, instead. Like 'The White Album'.

  • 4 people must really not understand music

  • Actually the non-widescreen version of this movie shows the whole thing. This version chops off the top & bottom of the frame.

  • I like this 'bouncier' version of 'Two Of Us'...LenMac are having some fun with this one!

  • OOOO 6:52 Yoko is jealous.

  • Ringo at 1:09 'Come on Ringo think the camera is looking at me should I smile? Maybe not I might have somthing in my teeth nah I will just look interested in what Paul's doing'

  • John is too stoned. Paul is too bossy. George just doesn't give a shit. And Ringo can't do anything about it.

  • Ringu: The Beginning.

  • @CyberJuanito Ringu 2: The Destruction

  • my favorite scene is when george gets shocked!!!

  • poor george!

  • 5:22 was all too shocking for George.

  • ...yeah ''maxwells silver fucking shit wacker''.. paul mac cansure write the shite.....AND THE RECORDING of the said'' MAX well pukevillie''' cost more than the whole of ABBEY ROAD......JOHN SHOULD OF JUST GRABBED THE FERKING SILVER HAMMER AND GAVE PAUL A GOOD THUMP ON HIS OWN STUPID HEAD...

  • Maxwell's Silver Hammer demonstrates the diverse writing quality of genuis Paul.

  • 4:37 Eric Wareheim?

  • Maxwell's Silver Hammer = one of the worst Beatles songs.

  • apple should stop worrying about preserving the Beatles legacy and release this film on dvd or maybe even in theaters. i would definately pay to see it at the movies and buy it on dvd.

  • @dickboy156 you can really see how creative Paul was around this time, lots of his ideas dominating

  • Paul wasn't dominating because of his ideas, he was constantly trying to keep the other members engaged and active. In fact, his actions often were perceived as patronizing by the others, even though he was just trying to keep The Beatles alive.

  • @Imij11 I didnt say Paul was dominating ,I said Pauls` ideas are dominating, its different,if you watch the film you can see its Paul often supplying the melody and lyrical ideas that would later go on to the final mix of most songs,as well, Pauls` songs on LetItBe are the most dynamic('LetItBe' and 'LongAndWindingRoad" both Mccartney songs reaching #1) even though the song credits are fairly divided (7 each for both Paul and John),evry fan knows Paul was the most creative Beatle @ this time

  • Ok, think about it logically. Paul is by far the most involved of The Beatles, as he's trying to inspire the other members to be just as engaged as he is. Of course his ideas are going to be more prevalent on the album.

I'm not denigrating him as an artist, or this album at all. Let It Be is an incredibly great album, and McCartney is definitely one of the greatest musical figures ever. But, the reasoning for his intellectual domination wasn't just because he was coming up with a lot of ideas.

  • @Imij11 no, its because evryone was apathetic `cos John told the band ,or gave them the ultimatum that yoko was gonna be involved in evry process even recording,,if Paul seems patronizing its `cos of the new(yoko) person in the group, not because he was trying to be inspiring, all the Beatles felt like saying 'get her out' but Paul was born with class, he was still being (patronizing) nice, its `cos of yoko,nt because they felt the breakup was imminent

  • can sum 1 tell me how the beatles broke up

  • bang bang! Maxwell´s silver hammer make sure that John is dead! 3:50

  • maxwell s silver hammer - theres no excuse

  • @Cluebert My mistake. You are correct about Allen. Sorry about that. I had Mal Evans in my head and got his story mixed up with Klein. I think Klein was thought to have ties to some mob or something. Regardless, McCartney thought he was a shady character as you point out. Sorry about that again.

  • I don't see what's wrong with cancelling the release of the DVD of the movie. There's nothing wrong with the film itself.

  • @Cluebert And also legal differences between John & Paul. Paul wanted his brother -in-law and John said no but John wanted Mal Evans I think who Paul was suspecting of having a shady background.

Paul may have been right as I think Mal Evans was killed in a shootout.

  • is it wrong to hate Yoko Ono right when you see or hear about her?

  • @gageissocute NO..But the last straw for the Beatles was a number of things, until John wanted yoko as the 5th Beatle, because of her presence and vibe she gave out to the others to make them better....lmao

  • Comment removed

  • I'd've locked Yoko in the store cupboard, job's a goodun.

  • Aw Poor George getting shocked. That was the cutest, and one of the best starters to a movie i've seen in a while. So cute.

    Microphone: ZAP.

    George: shock shock shock...

And then the second time, George doing jazzhands, and then ZAP.

I get shocked alot, don't worry Georgie.

    xD

  • Don't Let Me Down was on the Capitol Compliation Album Entitled The Beatle Again or Hey Jude issued in 1970.

  • Does the anvil player get royalties? 4:45

  • ME GUSTO!!!!! me encanta la cancion let it be por qe 2 se murieron porqe!!!!!!! y el gran final de los the Beatles!! no!!!!

  • Look at Ringo At the start Clueless

  • I LOVE the Beatles, I LOVE them, I LOVE them, I LOVE them!! Where would pop-music be without them? They were pioneers in almost everything

  • man ringoss style is awsome love his high he is seated haha

  • I love when Paul and John sing together. They loved and enjoyed, and we notice it.

  • Actually, this is the version that cuts off some of the image. The film was shot for television on 16 mm film, so its original aspect ratio matches standard TV (4:3).

  • George getting shocked by the microphone is one of the funniest things I've seen. And John and Paul singing Two of Us was absolutely incredible <3

  • What is the piece of music Paul is playing on the piano at the very beginning of this video?

  • @joethulhuz No, not Abbey Road. Try again.

  • i love this song..check out my version on my page please

  • john is so ugly in the late 60s and after the 60s

john was cute and sexy in the years 1960 to 1966

then after like 1966 he started to get ugly

but i love john i just only love john from 1960 to 1967 because after he got ugly and he wasn't funny anymore

  • Got ugly? Jesus, stupid stuff to say. You'll be ugly someday, if not already.

  • @beatlesfan07480 You only love John during his "attractive" years? That's not shallow at all!

  • @NowhereGirl579

no not just that he was good looking he was just seemed alot happier and healthier and i loved for who he was in the 60s

  • I've always wanted to see this movie in it's entirety.

  • I've always wanted to see this in it's entirety.

  • Well Paul's a little exited isn't he? just shouting and yelling randomly during the recordings, weird.

  • "custodian" macca took over

  • the COME-DOWN of a millenium ARTIST

  • i had this movie on it's original vhs release and it looked like shit. i sold it on ebay for 100,00 just because it came with the box and some flyer about the other beatles movies available. the best was that the original bid was 3.00$

  • It is like a "reality" show. This is the only one I would watch. Not the garbage on tv now.

  • 6:52:....random much?

  • She was a creep if anything!

  • wats the song at 6:15
