I remember they used to force us to do this every year when I was little kid, they didn't tell us jip about the poems or what it meant, we were just taught to remember and recite the words and the crappy hand movements that comes with it cos it makes the stupidest student sound literate....it was all literally a fake show of an educational prowess....but to be honest I felt more like a performing monkey.
