Obviously this cops life was in danger because the "perpetrator" had shoe laces, and if you have shoe laces that means you have shoes and you can walk to a Wal-Mart in Texas and buy a gun. In other words... this "criminal" was only steps away from getting a gun and killing this super brave cop.
