that's what I thought too...but what's weird is that in the deleted scenes you see alot more chemistry there and I wonder why they cut those scenes out
Thor was an OK movie, the best part about it is Loki, I was cheering for Loki more than I was for Thor, I don't think that was supposed to happen, but whatever, not bad, but could be better
A lot of people have said it, but I just want to agree and put in my 2 cents: Loki was much more interesting to me than Thor. Did anyone else think Thor was a bit of a dick? And Loki is sitting back there like "Can you people not see how he is going to screw sh!t up?"
Also when Odin denies him at the end: "I could do it, father" "No Loki." That's it. He was just like, shut the F up and go away. Who does that?
@ferrous719 I know what you mean. I think Tom carried the movie through. I mean, okay, alright, I was sympathetic to Thor's cause by default. But the entire time he was holed up in Earth, trying to figure himself out or whatever, I was just sitting there, thinking and wondering what on earth could his brother be up to at that same moment? I was more interested in Loki! Tom pulled the whole thing around and made an outstanding performance.
@ferrous719 Dude, I couldn't of put it better myself, I thought I was the only one who was like ' Don't make Thor king, he's an idiot! He'll screw up everything!' And Odin was pretty cold towards Loki, I felt very sorry fo him, because all he was to Odin in the end was a failed plan to bring Peace to Asguard. I also felt helpless because of all the love Loki didn't get from his parents that I probably could of given to him, but that's just because of Tom Hiddleston's Pure cuteness XD
@ReALYtie@bohemianbeagle Yeah I have to say I am a tiny bit totally completely obsessed with Hiddleston right now. Which actually kinda sucks cause so much of what he's done (according to imdb) is stage, so, you know, can't see it. -pout-
But I was really pleased to see which brother gets to play on Earth next go-round. I love the mischief makers.
@ferrous719 i agree with your Odin comment. I mean i know they're fictional characters and all that jazz but as a father Odin could have handled that situation better than he did. All Loki wanted was acceptance and to be equal to Thor and nobody could give him that. So he gave up. Tom Hiddleston did an amazing job developing Loki and I am so psyched for The Avengers.
He was such a dynamic character. I thought he was far more in depth than Thor was, I wish they had delved deeper into his reasons for doing the things he did. Like hearing his thoughts or just more past history.
I think his portrayal of Loki really set this movie apart from other superhero movies. He played a sympathetic and complex villain. He really stood out and I hope to see him in more movies soon.
I found Loki (Tom) far more interesting than Thor. The way Tom was able to convey the multiple emotions that Loki was feeling was rather great. Tom made Loki relatable and made me feel that Loki isn't your normal antagonist whose straight out evil, he has a reason for how he became.
@elleoneiram in recent months I've seen many films in 3D but in this one it really made sense and looked the best.'Tron Legacy' doesn't come close to the visual captivation of 'Thor' (but that's only my humble opinion)

Like in the Greek mythology there are different ways to spell the names of the Germanic gods (Herkules/ Herakles, Daidalos/Dädalus etc.)

I thought he was the same actor who played the evil dragon brother in Game of Thrones.

WAIT. Thor was in that movie too??
sanfran91 5 months ago 24
I liked both actors, but there was no brotherly chemistry between them.
lucasboden 5 months ago
@lucasboden Very true... can't really blame Loki for hating Thor so much when pretty much all Thor says to him is "Shut up" or "Mind your place."
...actually, that's really all anyone says to him. No wonder he went evil!

Tom Hiddleston is such a great actor, with his performance i colud feel Loki's emotions. Loki is by bar better than Thor in this film.

I never really liked 3D
People who watched Thor in 3D liked it more when it was in 2D. I really hate the 3D trend.

I have had no desire to see movies with the 3D we have everywhere now, but Tom Hiddleston in 3D is quite a good argument.
