I disagree.. I think Rally and MotoGP are the most extreme boat racing is just eh.. I had a boat it wasn't as cool as having a rally car and motorcycle.
The reason this motor was used in the boat was because back then all people saw in one of those wass a out dated f1 car...man over here where i live (in New Zealand) in the 1960's we had a car called the Morrari (a morris minor...With a ferrari F1 chassis and engine underneath) And its not a waste it has alot of charm

Also FYI: a no-wash zone doesn't mean a speed limit, it means drive at a speed at which your vessel makes the least amount of wash.
So if your boat makes the least wash at 35 kts, then this is the speed at which you should travel in a no-wash zone. If it meant a speed limit, then they would post one (eg 4 or 8 kt zone, etc.)
And I'd rather be called a "nigger" than a racist trailer trash bigot, which is what you are.

When the boat sits out of the water the cooling lines dry up. You must accelerate to get the water in the engine so it can be cooled. It won't do it at idle, and you'll overheat and seize the engine.
It is a special event for race boats.
Everyday use laws don't apply when there is permission to organize such a show.

@minatormyth I am amazed...I hadn't looked that closely, but I thought this was some NEW machine. I did think the RPM's seemed awful low for a modern super-Ferrari engine! I may just have to become a fan of this boat myself, even though boats were never my one of my "things" (but engines sure are!) It's gorgeous, I think. It almost looks like they styled the body (hull? fuselage? LOL) off of those old Ferrari racing cars...the torpedo-shaped ones (which I think were 1950's too?)

The Monaco GP is usally really DULL. If not for the glamour of the place they would never race there in the first place.
And this is coming from a McLaren fan. McLaren has won the Monaco GP a record 15 times ( and 9 times in 10 races 1984-1993).
Personally I would much rather have lots of McLaren wins in real racetracks like Spa, Suzuka and Silverstone.
