I was using the 7.4V 1500mah I think. Very light compared to the stock Ni-Cads. Same power though so gives you a longer flight time. Ni-Cads were approx 5-7mins. LiPo were approx 10-12mins. VERY long flights! :D
it's kinda freaking hard to fly it 8D just got it home lal, pretty strong it is :3, the balls are vibrating if i want to lift-off (NOT MINE... THE HELI'S PRACTICE BALLS >_>)
but still, i has a day off -school friday so i hope it's nice weather to pratice at the field near mii house ...
fantastic flying. I have just got my 4#1 and hope to be as good as you. What trim settings do you use as it seems so smooth.I am learning to hover at this stage.
Trims settings are not something others should copy! The W4#1 has got a terrible gyro My rudder trim is FULL right, and I still have to fly with a touch of right rudder. So the gyro really isnt doing its job, and I have to BE the gyro! As you can guess, it takes a bit of effort to fly this stable with a poor performing gyro. Good thing about a crappy gyro is that you learn how to hold your tail very well. Other trims are close to center except throttle of course.

Just a good setup I guess.
1. Straight paddles
2. COG as perfect as possible
3. Swash plate perfectly level as possible

I thought that 1500mah was too heavy. But now i'm concerned. Thanks for the advice! And how i level perfectly the swash plate?
allygemelli 3 years ago
Oops my mistake. That should've been 800mah, not 1500mah! >)
There are a few tutorials on the web on how to level ya swash. i'd recommend reading a few and you'll quickly understand what its all about.
