Hey I got a question I once saw an addon that told them what to cast next? It was a bar that would tell you what to cast next... lol thats basically all it was, can someone tell me what it was?

Anyone help? I had WoW about 2 years ago and I was a level 54 Feral Druid, Im looking to get back into WoW and its dowloading now. I want to be DPS but I cant choose between a Mage or a Shadow Priest. Also, will many raids and guilds accept me if im just a Shadow Priest or would they want me to heal? And what class is better overall? Thx

hey I have an Spriest ilvl 375 and im only pulling 16-19k in firelands I was told that im messing up because other priests are pulling 20k+ with less gear than me, What is a simple rotation I can follow that will provide adequate dps?

@Yojimbo67676 It's not as simple as just a rotation, but a priority list. Blizzard has heavily favored these types of rotations recently. My best advise is to keep dots up as close to 100% as possible. Refresh them early if you must, but keep them up! Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.

Keep up dots. use all cd's evangilism archangel shadowfiend etc. Don't use mind blast if your orbs haven't procced if they haven't then it makes a HUGE dent in dps, Use mind flay inbetween this rtation to renew the swp proc. And have swd glyphed use this to help mana pool and to effectivly use it two times in a row (assuming boss/mob doesn't die from it) Check gear as well make sure you have right enchantments/stats and gems. @commanderzetah Hi Napolian. It looks like you're reforging out of hit but you're not at the hit cap so crit/mastery would be better options to reforge out of. That's the only thing I noticed besides the pvp enchant and Hurricane.

Only thing I see what your doing wrong is clipping your dots (applying them while they're still up) say SW: P hits for 10k dot. It has .5 secs before it ticks again, but you reapply it before the 10k gets off. 10k dmg lost by not waiting .5 or whatever seconds for it to finish. Let your dots finish and don't clip them you will see a DPS increase. :)

@Vanquish1995 You're supposed to reapply your DoTs before they fall off. "clipping" doesn't exist for DoTs anymore. Warlocks work the same way now, and I would guess that Balance druids are the same way.

ps: Mind Sear and Mind Flay are considered "dots" and follow the same rules for clipping as our actual "DoTs".

@Vanquish1995 Bane of Doom/Agony deal increasing dmg with each tick so they are the sole exception to the rule. For all other dots, clipping the last tick will not affect the total dmg of the spell.

hi i am a 367 ilvl spriest today i did a 25 BH i found a 357 spriest beat me in dps, with my rotation i apply dots, MB when cd is up shadow word death when the CD is up and mind flay as a filler is their any help you could offer me?

@mackoa12 Hi Mackoa12, the funny thing about BH is it's extremely dependant on how fast you start AoEing the adds. The best way to out DPS people there is to start channeling Mind Sear on a nearby friendly target right before the adds come out so you are AoEing 100% of the time the adds are up. If you miss a couple seconds of that you're going to fall behind FAST. SWD is actually a DPS loss unless you're having major problems with your mana. If you have any logs I could see that would help a ton

@lilithlovesdamien I'm willing to say that It's proven and widely accepted now that Haste Breakpoints > Mastery > Haste/Crit. So yeah, feel free to reforge any Haste over your nearest breakpoint into Mastery.

@TheDrongBowler, I do 20k+ on bosses as well, and typically more on trash (multi target) in ZA/ZG just by managing dots on multiple targets (using tidy plates for DPS), and then using the standard rotation on one of the targets while managing the dots on the others. Or, in the case of more than three mobs, I toss shadow word pain up on as many of them as I can (like the lynxs before the lynx boss) and mind flay until I get an orb, mind blast, then target the tank and mind sear the crap up.

@Zinco, I use TellMeWhen to do the same as what Schisme is doing, but I also add Empowered Shadows and Shadow Orbs to the mix, so that I can quickly see at a glance how many balls I have (lol, know), and how much time is left on empowered shadows, along with all the other standard dots.

When I'm doing dungs with guildies. Dungs like zandalari. On this trash my dps is really low. I don't know what is the problem? I think my dots can't tick long enough. Can you help me out? :) Bosses i do 12-16k but trash in dungs like zandalari only 8-10k

@TheDragonbowler I do 20k+ on bosses and only 12k or so on trash so it's normal. 20k/12k is roughly the same loss of dps you're seeing. Try Mind Spike if you know the trash will die quickly

What stats should i prioritize now after patch 4.2? Since our s-priest dots have been decreased by 12% and MB & MF have been increased by 12%, is it still worth going for haste or should i go for something like mastery to boost up shadow orbs and MB even further?? i lost 500-700 dps since the patch so it must depend on some stat changes.. pls help!

@powerkingyea I haven't seen any noticeable change in DPS or rotation. Stats priorities are the same as before until you reach 2588 haste (w/o DI) then you're better off stacking mastery. This is the theory at least and those in the Shadow community that have adopted this theory don't have an substantial evidence to discredit or prove this theory. However, when we get people in t12 4pc and ilvl 391 gear, we'll have more to work from.

Hey Schisme, i have another question, what addon is it that shows the 4 spells (Mind Blast, Shadow Word: Death, Archangel, and Shadowfiend) in the middle of the screen? Also thank you for your videos, they're very helpful :)

@zinco122 Hi Zinco, That addon is actually Bartender. I added a new bar, increased its size, change it to only 4 buttons, and made it unclickable. I then moved it to the middle of my screen so I could more easily see those cooldowns and be aware of everything else goign on. I'm glad you find my videos helpful and thanks for posting!
