I got a save state right before the Charge but this camera thing is not working for me...

KC what am I doing wrong? Feels like I'm reacting too fast, since Mac hits air and THEN Bull takes him down on the rebound. However I'm not anticipating the flash, just a normal reaction as if it were on a console. I tried the same thing on my NES, the same result. Could it be that I'm reacting too slow and the camera flash moment exploits a glitch that allows a premature bodyblow to take him down?

I agree, it's not a perfect thing. When I read about it, I reacted too fast too. I think it's just a cute little thing that the creators threw in there. You do need to wait a split second before you throw the punch. If you do it right as the camera flashes, you're dog food. I think it's just a little helper, but you still need to get the timing down, so you may as well just look at his jumps like you always have.

I've been playing with it a little and once you get the timing down, it does actually seem to help a great deal when throwing the right. With the left, it's way too fast so you end up hitting early. There's a good 10-15 frames (I think) that you can respond w/ a right bodyblow for the knockdown. I was reacting too fast because I was using the bounces to anticipate the flash, but once you get the rhythm it's just "bounce, bounce, flash, A-button".

It did just come out a couple of weeks ago, so we'll see, I suppose. I haven't really gone through the whole game. I'd imagine if there was another time it could be used, they would have at least added it to Bull 2.

Yeah, Bull 1. Not Bull 2. I learned this the other day when I decided to "try out the camera trick". My eyes were dead focused on that upper-right camera until I realized that Mac was on the floor. Bald Bull's a jerk. He probably hospitalized the photographer from his first match.

Congradulations on 1,000. Hearing about the Bull Charge trick I wondered if you'd post an update about it.

The Duck Tales trick is nice too, although you do also end up skipping the secret treasure to the upper-right of the level, but this still saves a heafty chunk of time.

True that. It won't help at all for the best ending, but it's a great trick nonetheless. As for speedrunning, well, they usually look down on programming errors as well, so I guess I'm the only guy that finds it helpful.
