@Dolphidood Cage's music puts the listener on the wrong footing. It's kind of schizophrenic and impenetrable. Search for John Cage Nocturne, for piano and violin. It's full of comic innuendo's, yet its integrity is maintained.

This seems to be the most "musical" of Cage's pieces I've come across. of course, to Cage, the term "musical" is what he used to describe all of his works.

@LivingfortheFather Cage was really a very capable composer. His early works and later works are the most "musical" in the traditional sense. He had a very long middle period where his work was more on the theoretical side of things.
