  • Your videos are really cool, and the music is usually really good, but this one... I dunno.... I ended up having to mute it before it drove me insane! Request: Can you tie a knot sometime to the song: "Blood Ties" by Gramatik. (Gr4m4tik) Use red cord and the pun will be complete! LOL Or maybe "All Day Breakfast" by Four80East

  • me gusta muchos los vídeos soy de Colombia quisiera saber que material es o con que nombre se consigue en Colombia

  • Fascinating!

  • So for about every inch of rope, it requires around 1.4 feet of cord?

how much longer should the bracelet be in order to fit properly? I imagine with the layering of rope it would shrink the bracelet by an inch? My wrist is about 7''

sorry about so many questions. Thanks!

  • Just finished mine. Red and White. It came out awesome! Thanks for the video

  • You need to explain the knot better

  • Do you have to use that knot?

    Please Answer

  • How tight should I pull when making the bar?

  • @espio301 - Firm, but evenly...

  • @TyingItAllTogether you suck

  • Damn JD, I HATE it when you're right!!!! I looked again. I'm just so used to tying the Chinese Button Knot that whenever I see something used as a button, I see #599. (Hey, I'm old, OK?) Jimmy.

  • Hi JD,

Another great instructional video! I find, however, that ABOK#599 is an easier method of tying the Chinese Button Knot. IMHO.

    Jimmy

  • Hey Jimmy, look again... It's not the Chinese Button Knot. The button knot was too large for the clasp I needed. So I stopped it short of the last cord tucks through the knot's middle. This effectively left the tie as a Carrick Bend tightened up. What I call a "Carrick Bend Button Knot".

  • Can you make a belt (trousers and jeans) how much paracord would you need to make it, say 1 inch wide, bout 40 incheches long ????

  • I really like the look of this bar, however, I decided to leave the loop at the top of the bar (the beginning) and then finished it off with a four strand diamond knot. By doing so it allows the bracelet to slide a little and it can be locked onto your wrist. Anyway, I am grateful for all of what you do, and this is one of the best fusion knots you have come up with. Thanx!

  • hey jd do you think you could show how to make it with a buckle?

  • I moved the right rear string over the right front."ex. Green over yellow 5:20" and then continue as usual.you end up w/alternating colors."ex green on left yellow on right" just another attempt at tire tread bar..still haven't figured it out..Thanks for the videos!

  • JD how did you start to learn knot tying ??

And again thanks for all the great training

  • about how much paracord total do u need to make 6inch bracelet?

  • @Iceman8668 - About 8 feet (each)

  • @TyingItAllTogether

just a thought but could you possibly use this for a rifle sling? if so what is the conversion from one foot of weave to how many feet of paracord?

  • @sniperpistol50 - I'd imagine that any of these knots that 'slide up/down the central core would make a poor rifle sling, or belt, or anything of length that will carry a load. Reason being that when in use, the weave will slide on the core, scrunching/deforming it in places and leaving open holes in others. ALTHOUGH, it probably would look GREAT on the rifle rack! I've never made a sling or belt, so this isn't first hand knowledge, just an educated observation.

  • Hey JD, Great work! Have you ever thought of making a video on how you cut and melt the ends? I always make a mess of it and melt some of my project. Thanks?

  • hey JD I thought about doing the cross of the middle stiches before, just never thought of it now I know what it looks like. =) Thanks again for the nice video.

  • JD, please give me a hint about the tire tread bar...on sure other viewers are also interested. :)

  • I wore mine at the spreckles 10k run today and got great compliments! Its red and blue! Running out of other colors..hahaha! But worked out good, our gym colors are red and blue..could make u 1 but never thought of a price. Let me know.

  • Anyone want to sell me one of these?

  • @chickenoncheese i sell them and a few other knots that hes designed I havent tried my hand at this one yet

  • Do you sell them?

  • @chickenoncheese - Nope... Just show people how to tie them. But others sell the ties I design. Check out Etsy or ask around here. Someone would make you one, I'm sure.

  • @TyingItAllTogether hypothetically asking... if one were to sell one of ur designs, would there be copyright issues

  • @millionairejh - I design and show how to create these ties for others to, repeat, gift, and sell (if they wish to). There are no "copyright" issues. *smile*

  • @TyingItAllTogether thats very good to know. ive been trying to start sort of a small side business selling these. its been quite popular among people i kno and work with. sold hundreds already, and i think i wanna start selling them online. im trying to figure out the best way to do this. just wanted to let u kno how truly grateful i am. these videos are like christmas presents to me lol. keep up the great work, and ill be looking forward to it

  • wat do u do with everything u make?

  • @survivethis101 - Most of it hangs around the house, on doorknobs and the like, or site in boxes on tables.

  • I'm about to make one rite now..it does look similar to the tire tread bar..I think we might be able to use this to figure out the tire tread..great work JD!!

  • This is awesome. reminds me of the tire tread bar.....(hint hint) Keep up the great work JD! I'm looking forward to the next video!

  • Where do get the string? :o...i have been everywhere and cant find any -.-

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU WATCH THIS FOR FUN BUT DONT REALLLY DO IT :D
