  • this has nothing to do with Canada; I prefer the classic commercials better!

  • Americans think we say oot and aboot because we pronounce 'route' 'root' and not 'rout'. Route being a french word originally, we pronounce it closer to its original pronunciation rather than phonetically. however Canadians do not say oot and aboot.

  • i think Canadians have better sense of humor than Americans. i'm from Pakistan BTW.

  • Hmm, beer or gas? Not exactly a difficult choice.

  • Surprising Fitness Trick That Every BEER Consumer Should Use....

Drinking Beer = Losing Fat! Very Cool! It's True!

  • Answer Honestly Why is the bottle in RED WHITE AND BLUE if the Canadian flag is RED & WHITE

  • @freakyflow we still use colours not in our flag. CRazy, I know!!

And red, white and blue are in the British flag, the Australian flag, the French flag, the Dutch flag, the New Zealand flag, etc. Not exactly clear markers of anywhere. Blue is also seen here as the "French" colour traditionally, while Red is the "English colour"

  • @freakyflow i think it may be because the canadian flag is red and white, the quebec flag is blue which is where molson originated.i think, im not to sure just guessing.

  • picking gas is sooo american lol

    canadians pick BEER =)

  • anyone who picks gas is not Canadian

  • @ast453000 But gas is more expensive than beer so if you saved money on gas, then you'll have more money to spend on beer.

  • Well.... since I don't drink, I'll have to go with the not having to pay for gas, No... wait, I don't have a car either. At lest I have hockey gear, hooray! :)

  • lol was this video pre or post twilight? Ive heard that question a lot since twilight came out. (movie not the book before any of you trolls wanna be nazis and call me on that)

  • gas is more expensive, so i wud pick gas, then tha gas money goes to tha beer

  • why is it always vampire vs werewolf?

  • free gas and be a vampire :D

  • ok the firs tone is a no brainer

    NEVER PAY FOR BEER!!!

  • if it was a cool vampire like in Daybreakers or Underworld, then ya. but not if its the Twilight pre teen bitches that sparkle in the sun like pixies or some shit.

  • VAMPIRE ALL THE WAY!!!

  • ha ha, thats pretty funny,

I don't even drink, so I would choose to never pay for gas

and werewolves are way more awesome then vampires

  • Why do they have American accents? Is this a US ad?

  • @WG1114G you caught that ? btw molson is owned by an american company now

  • @WG1114G no

  • I'd rather be a vampire werewolf hybrid.

  • Yep I also think they sound American.

  • thats a nice commercial... cept not really canadian style...

  • Exactly !

  • drink seeman? nah

  • They sound soooo American...

  • How do you sound American? There speaking English and its not like they said sofa or soda of any word in the American language that is different from English. Or do you believe they would say eh every 3 words?

  • I thought Canadians had their own accent, I guess I was wrong.

  • A lot of Americans are wrong about a lot of things to do with Canada. It's classic American ignorance! We don't say "aboot" instead of "about" or "ruff" instead of "roof" (although I have heard plenty of Americans says that). I do use the word "eh" a lot though as do most other Canadians I know.

  • @canadianmaple09 and its a god damned chesterfield not a couch!

  • @canadianmaple09 You've never been to Newfoundland, have you? They say "aboot" in Newfoundland.

  • @canadianmaple09 i say eh alot cuz its better then saying huh like an american

  • @canadianmaple09 cry aboot it bitch

  • @canadianmaple09 We do say "aboat" however.

  • @canuckleful Hmm, I've never heard anyone pronounce it "aboat". What region are you from?

  • @canadianmaple09 Easern Ontario, I notice it in more rural people. I also hear it in people form Sask.

  • @canuckleful Interesting. I was raised on a farm in southwestern Ontario.

  • @Amunication we do (in English and in French), actually a few variations

  • @Amunication we do, several actually, and in both official languages

  • Its the accent MasterChief ... have a listen again. Plus the humour thats usually in the Canadian Molson commercials just isn't there.

  • There is nothing in this commercial I find that has any type of accent. To me they sound Canadian or American.

  • Well to me this commercial is definitely American. I live in a Canadian city that is close to the US border. I've also traveled in Europe and have found that the Canadian accent is very different to the American one.

  • I agree. I pick it out right away. A 1/3 of the residents on our small island are American. I can easily tell the difference when they speak.

  • Exactly ! I don't know why the person posting this video can't tell the difference between the accents!

  • I can instantly tell if someone is American when they speak. It's kind of like they have a bit of drawl. Not a deep southern type drawl, but just the slightest to make it noticeable.

  • Have a listen again ... I've picked out the words answer, beer, gas, not, honestly, werewolf amongst all of the words the actors have said here.

  • well.. sorry but i honestly havn't been in contact with canadian english that much (english is not my first language, you may have noticed)

i do notice that "gas" is a little stretched (a little drawl) and some other minor things

but i really couldn't tell where he's from after talking with the guy for 10 minutes =(

  • OK - no worries :D. Where are you from originally ?

  • Brazil :D

well.. i could tell the difference between north america, UK and foreign (indian, japanese, latinos..), but in uk and north america, i can't tell the difference between the inner accents..

  • OK - it just takes practise. I didn't realize that you weren't from North America originally though.

  • The thing about the American accent though is that we have about 50 accents ourselves.

We have southern, northeastern, some places have canadian accents, I've even heard some places sound like they're British

  • I know there are different American accents - I live in a city that is close to the US border. Just a question (and I'm not trying to start an argument here): have you ever been to the UK? American accents do not sound British! There are a ton of British accents and I have yet to hear an American who sounds even the slightest bit British naturally.

  • I never said that America sounds British at all.

I said that I heard that some parts of America sound British

  • I'm not saying that is what you said. You probably aren't as familiar with British accents as I am. I have yet to hear an American accent that sounds even the slightest bit British. Which parts of the US have accents that you feel sound British ?

  • Actually, I'm quite familiar with British accents, as one of my favorite channels is actually BBC.

And again, for the third time, I heard that some parts of America sound British.

I really wouldn't know, I don't go accent hunting across the states

  • Groovay ... with the BBC you aren't getting the full spectrum of British accents though. Anyways have a good one ! :D

  • Well, unless you go on a hike across an entire nation and have a conversation with every local of that nation, you'd never get a full spectrum of all the accents of that nation...

Anyways, you have a good one too

  • Well I lived there for a while so I'm a bit more familiar with the various types of accents :D The BBC it seems only allows persons with certain accents as broadcasters.

  • which differences did you see ? why are there no good videos showing this? haha.. i somehow have to be able to diferenciate americans from canadians through their accent.. and i see no difference at all.. don't ask why... haha

  • you can absolutely tell! American accents are generally sharper and they over pronounce a's and r's, Canadian accents are a lot softer and their sounds are just rounder and not as annoying LOL.

  • @MasterChief4781 really, to me it's quite obvious.

  • @WG1114G "comment posted 1 year ago"

That didn't phase you one bit?

  • @MasterChief4781 it's in the vowels.
