hey, thanks a lot for all your videos, they helped me.
i have a very big problem since yesterday,my logic 9 on snowleopard doesn`t work anymore.
evertime when i open a project and press play i get the message " Midi time problem or in german: "Zeitüberschritt beim midi".sorry i am from germany and i don`t know to translate this in the correct way.
can you tell me what does this message means and how i handle it? i am not able to make music and thats a big problem to me......:-(
omg this is just what I wondered about all the time ... how to get a melody from my brain into a software! thanks so much! this is really my best xmas present this year!!!
so i could could use this technique to find out the score of a vengence special sound sample and then write along with it using other soft synths, im not musically trained use see btw i like ur tutorials man
Dave, your videos are such a great resource, so concise yet easy to understand! Its so great to have down to earth, good people willing to take time out to help like minded people. Once again, cheers dude your work is great! Also the music on the iron man game is sick, nice job ;)
hey, i have a question.. how do i save space (use less tracks) when I want to tweak the same synth that i used in the verse, and make it different for the chorus? I would usually just duplicate the track using the same settings, but im sure there is a more efficient way to do this... thanks
I'll second Ninlouves comment. I feel like a spoilt child with these great tutorials. I'm assuming ninja does this for a living, 'cause he's very good at it: thanks man!
Great! I've been posting on various Logic pro help forums and this is the first time I've gotten a clear explanation of this function. Do you teach at pyramind Studios in San Francisco?
Hey beast! Yeah, I teach at Pyramind, and am also the director of all audio production. I've ben doing a lot more in the composition realm lately, but still keep a pretty busy class schedule. If you're ever around, come on by!
Sorry about that, blitz! It's very hard to walk that line between resolution and stability. I'll try to be more careful next time an grab a larger portion o the screen. Thanks for watching!
Because the track was selected. The score will go to whatever track is selected, and if you have an instrument selected, it will automatically be record enabled.
the last few lessons have been exceptional! im lookin forward to the next one you mentioned. im gonna make some phat beats quantized via MPCEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Hopefully - I was thinking before "I wish I could just sing the parts and they would come up in midi" and now I know I can.
I'm not very good at writing straight out of my head like some people can, so this should be very useful.

How did the sample editor know to add the midi score to the EVP track instead of the Seventies Kit track? Because it was record enabled?
redstrype 4 years ago
Because the track was selected. The score will go to whatever track is selected, and if you have an instrument selected, it will automatically be record enabled.
