  • hey, i have a question.. how do i save space (use less tracks) when I want to tweak the same synth that i used in the verse, and make it different for the chorus? I would usually just duplicate the track using the same settings, but im sure there is a more efficient way to do this... thanks

  • You were making this video on the 2nd of January? Dude you didn't party hard enough for new years!

  • god please if theres a way i could do that in ableton or sonar or cubase or FL could any help??

and im suddenly realizing how much music shit i have accumulated.. lol

  • hey sf ninja... can you save you own groove templates into the quantise menu? thanks for these quick tutorials man... much appreciated!

  • If there is a nobel price for pedagogy, just apply, you'll get it easily.

  • I'll second Ninlouves comment. I feel like a spoilt child with these great tutorials. I'm assuming ninja does this for a living, 'cause he's very good at it: thanks man!

  • That was so awesome.

  • what program are you using?

  • Logic Studio 8

  • STUNNING!

  • Me I'm not!

    You Rock!

  • Man I don't use Logic to it's full potential. Thanks for this eye opener!

  • SFLogicNinja or Dave Earl....."I don't care"... priceless :) gotta love it.

  • I'm sorry for the stupid question but what exactly is a grove template??

  • cleared up a few things ... thanks!!

  • You are a brilliant man.

    regards

  • Nice very very useful.Thanks!

  • Nice ! been looking for a tutorial on how to do this!

    Thank a million.

  • This is great. Looking forward to trying this out.

    Thank you!

  • This will be amazing for my choral piece!

    Thank you!

  • Now THAT sounds interesting!

  • Hopefully - I was thinking before "I wish I could just sing the parts and they would come up in midi" and now I know I can.

I'm not very good at writing straight out of my head like some people can, so this should be very useful.

  • Great! I've been posting on various Logic pro help forums and this is the first time I've gotten a clear explanation of this function. Do you teach at pyramind Studios in San Francisco?

  • Hey beast! Yeah, I teach at Pyramind, and am also the director of all audio production. I've ben doing a lot more in the composition realm lately, but still keep a pretty busy class schedule. If you're ever around, come on by!

  • Great stuff Dave, but with all due respect, there's too much camera movement. The delicate flower that I am.... oops...sea sick. Thanks....

  • Sorry about that, blitz! It's very hard to walk that line between resolution and stability. I'll try to be more careful next time an grab a larger portion o the screen. Thanks for watching!

  • dave great vids once again - really liking the increased video output .... big respect mate

  • Another great tutorial, thanks Dave

  • Thanks for the lessons!

    I can't wait for the ES2 lesson!

  • How did the sample editor know to add the midi score to the EVP track instead of the Seventies Kit track? Because it was record enabled?

  • Because the track was selected. The score will go to whatever track is selected, and if you have an instrument selected, it will automatically be record enabled.

    *bows*

  • Yowzaaaa! You probably saved me hours upon hours of manual rangling with these last two vids.

A million blessings upon your cranium, SFLN! :)

  • nice singing. Thanks.

  • Tell me those sweet little lies! Thanks, ms2000guy

  • does that mean more videos per week?
