This starting issue is with the Clifford Remote Start add on for the alarm. It starts perfectly fine with the key in the ignition. Found out that this add on module doesn't allow any change to the cranking time. Sometimes when the jeep is warm, starts right up with the Remote Start, other times when the jeep is cold (hasn't been driven for a while) it does what you see and hear in the video. fail... hold it longer its not like the starters going to jump out of it if it cranks over for longer than .0023 of seconds...

you need to crank a Crankokee Kirrokee Cherokee at least 5-6 seconds to fire it up .
Below that , never any starts.

Yes at least 5-7 seconds of cranking is what this old AMC engine needs to fire up .
