i kno that but im sayin is that can you take the mpc beats an add them to this beatmaker into the softwere to the ipod touch sorry i musta not said it right lol
@Fyeagass16 The pads aren't that bad. The typing keyboard buttons are smaller than the pads so using this as a simple beat production scratchpad works wonders.
@juggalo450 You can create your own BeatPacks with the BeatPack software. You can drag any samples into it then save it as a BeatPack to be loaded into the Beatmaker app.
stop hating, sample based beats are straight if you know what you are doing... can even require more talent sampling and chopping from what you dig up in a crate.
This app is nice for sample based beats, but if you like creating original tones and using synths then this is useless. BleepBOX is half the price and uses only live synthesis (10 channels with pads, mute buttons, and a pattern jamming feature that is unrivaled).
@3sleeves You can technically record some synths then create BeatPacks for them then import them into BeatMaker. NoiseIO, a synth app is integrated with BeatMaker, so thats an option.
@SampleSimple That is true...very time consuming, but true. NanoStudio is now basically what BeatMaker could have potentially been though, with synths INCLUDED. It also has sample pad grouping, which solves the lack of an auto cut feature that Intua never addressed. In my opinion though, Xenon and Argon are the best musical apps out at this point. BeatMaker is at the bottom of my list, right after SunVox (both are still good, but could have been so much better). BleepBox still rules live jams!
Select your 16 pads (make sure they are highlighted) then press Chop then it will take you to the search screen. Find that sample and it will be chopped on however many pads you selected.
yes, it has a pretty functional x y style filter which can go full screen. It looks like intua should take good care of the consumers because the update (first and most recent) 1.3.1 was a significant increase in functionality.
Oke, thats nice. But i prefer the pc so much. I would never make some shit on a external device like a phone.
I like tutorials about having a melody in the piano roll and how to use the fading effects on it and that kinda things. I know how this is possible with a wave file, but not on the piano roll?
can you load samples from itunes if so how? if not how can i get other samples besides the ones the come with beatmaker?

ok so the website of this product says
''Automatic sample slicing over the pads (Chop)''
does this mean i can slice a drumloop in perfect 16th chops spread over the 16 pads?
djdunic 2 years ago
Yes ,find your sample best if it's a 2 bar loop.
Select your 16 pads (make sure they are highlighted) then press Chop then it will take you to the search screen. Find that sample and it will be chopped on however many pads you selected.
You can even edit it further after that.

does the beatmaker have more than one pad bank?
diggin24seven 3 years ago
it doesn't right now, but i think they will add it, lots of people want that shit.
perplankton 3 years ago
No.... but u can import single instruments
Losdouble 2 years ago
its hard to have more than one pad bank because the iphone only has so much memory, with more samples loaded on the pads it eats it up

Pretty good for construting Hip-hop and R&B beats, but it's quite limited for Electronica genres.
