Wat state is that at and wat month is it and I live in festus mo there's a little lake by my house with crappie in it I was wondering if it would be possible to catch them any winter month of the year and if so do I fish deep and wat should I use
what are the conditions out there when you fishing? and also first time ive seen someone use a baitcast for crappie fishing but ive only seen a few vids but it obviously works!
I would say it was late fall November. Crappie head two places in Winter. Toward the dam and up creeks following the shad. The bait cast reel is much more effective vertical fishing especially over brush piles or standing timber. It also makes it easier to control depth. I pull of line from the reel to the first eye is 2 feet. It's tougher to gage the depth you are fishing with a spinner reel that way.
What type of bait are you using?
