  • Hmm looks to me like the white queen wanted some black king dick. So the slut snuck out. But the priest (bishop) caught them and told the white king. So this is how the war started. Now their in the middle of a divorce.

  • is this a joke?;)

  • @luckystrke what do u mean? hes awesome and his accent is soothing

  • seems like white was a litle to good with his knight for black to handle!

  • I played about 5 chess games in my life....I probably finished 3 of them and I solved this easily so please dont get too proud.

About the narrator....Holy crap ! Its like he's falling in and out of consciousness. Adorable though

Anyway, I think I'll try a bit more chess...I guess the problem for me is the game gets so boring 3/4's of the way through.

  • @Rizzy55 thats only because u cant play the game, probably.

  • hehe i learnt this puzzle in chess school so

    1d4 Kh5

    2Qd3 Kh3

    3Qh3#

  • RVD420: I didn't figure it out. To me, no Sam Loyd problem is child's play. Anyway, I suppose, by your suffixal digits, that you are J/King anyway. There was a mate-in-2 in the 1800s that took the chess world 10 years to figure out. out. Nowadays, a 25.00 Scisys could do it in 3 seconds.

  • Is there anybody that DIDN'T figure this out? Please tell me because I want to make fun of your lack of ability

  • Not prAtected, but prOtected. And not AK but OK...

  • @TheTinkywinky3 The "O" in the Russian alphabet is pronounced by like "Ah" (except the accented syllable" , e.g. хорошо = harasho

Thats why he has that accent.

  • @TheTinkywinky3 Was it that hard to tell that he wasn't English?

  • THanks for the video - I look forward to more from you.

  • i solved it...!

  • Guys its just a puzzle, not a possible chess scenario.

You solve it for fun, akin to solving a cross-word... they're puzzles.

  • Now as a more challenging "homework" figure out a way for black to win the game (you'll get extra credit ;-)

  • this is a neat position

  • This is so fucking RETARDED!!!!!!

Its NOT even POSSIBLE for the board to be set up like this at all in any chess game even if it were a test!! WTF

  • @tatomuck18 it is possible you are retarded btw , white horses can eat everything and stand back in position

  • @derenkoff So that's why the b and g knight have switched places, I see. :D

  • @noxure they didnt have to switch places they just ate all the pieces and stood back

  • @derenkoff *facepalm*

  • this is a very good puzzle.... but htere is no such tendency in the real chess game.

  • this is a very good puzzle....

  • @standokan2 hes obviously russian

  • I was thinking the first move would be to move the right pawn in front of the knight up one square to put the king in check.

  • i've been watching many of your videos. thanks for sharing. you're so cool.

  • this guy makes great videos i can't stand him talkin tho. he has to state the obvious so hardore. then a big gulp. then a serious look like he's gonna kill you.

  • To all those people saying this will never happen in a real chess game, of course it won't... But the point of a chess puzzles is to learn how to think ahead, to use your imagination and know how to use your pieces properly. And that is something that will be very valuable in your real chess games!

  • wtf???

    if im black my

first move will be on the H5

    then G6

how will this be only under 3 moves??

  • @mimibartolay1

You cannot move to g6 because the queen is attacking that square. So that is illegal. Maybe you should watch the video? He explained exactly why you cannot go to g6...

  • Fucking stupid no one that dumb to get conered like that well maybe this guy

  • stupid position

  • You will never get in that position.

  • what's the point of this video??

  • last week i was playing with a guy and i got that position, and i couldn't win, so i resigned... thank you very much for hemping me out with this.. next time i get to this position i will play d4!

  • zzzzZZZZZZZ....

  • i love Russian accent, viva mother Russia, dasfedanya

  • Funny pisstake!!, this would never happen in a game

  • I know a way to get this position. You just keep capturing black's pieces with the knights. :)

  • Which program does he use?

  • The "How would the king get to that square?" comments are missing the point. This is called a chess composition.

  • this so funny , why is he so seriouse

  • this is retarded

  • th@t w@s close m@tch

  • its actually funnier to watch my own hair grow than listen to this guy.

  • He over egzplained it becauze he zought dat ve vere ztupid and vent zrough every pozzible combination

  • @Slaying350 .. is that suppose to be funny?.. dont you know what an accent is?.. Idiot

  • ha ha .. this is one of the best chess jokes I came across.. I was laughing my ass out..

I was actually laughing because this guy is explaining it very seriously as if it's really happening. It's fun though.. love it!!

  • this is bs why would the king get there

  • What the hell is ziss square?

  • lol how do u arrive at a position like this? destryin the whole enemy army with the knights and returning back? lol

  • ...just gotta watch out for stalemate. so,

if you're not checking that 'lonely' king,

better make sure it has a move!

  • Fantastic. Next time I'm in this position, I'll be certain to win!

  • dobso, u seem to be far away from any intelligence to do this question...u r american, correct?

  • Actually, he's from the UK.

  • Comment removed

  • lmao this is boring

  • Can someone please get this guy to CALM DOWN!! Cocaine will do that to you!

  • why is this usefull ???

  • You cant look away

  • I totally understand you :)

  • i fell asleep

  • u r awsome

  • boring guy to learn from

  • h3 e4 Dg4

  • so you can understand

  • Very nice. And English with Russian accent i so cool.

  • so it's confirmed that 1.d4 is the best move!:-)

  • Fun puzzle. Thanks.

  • Why wouldn't it be a checkmate if he moved the pawn in front of the king forward?

  • the king would just move back

  • I meant the pawn in front of white's king.

  • it was to open up a way for the queen

  • I was in this position the other day, and I remembered this video. I was able to use my two knights to remove all of black's pieces and then I brought the two knights back to their home.

  • but i still think this is a good idea if it was possible to get to this

  • lol

  • point is to think for a change

  • Its also Sam LOYD not LLOYD

  • Sam Lloyd? That's Ted from Scrubs! Haha

  • Hahahahaa

  • chess is great and all but this guy is boring as fuck.

  • no one have forced you to watch him, leave witout usless coments plz.......

  • alright cause you said please.

  • and he have more boring videos of chess

  • i totally agree...this guy can cure a million ppl who has insomnia.

  • he speaks slow

it's good for peope lik myslef who don't speak englsih well .. so we can understand

  • Do you really need someone to entertain you about a video regarding CHESS PUZZLES?!?!

    You're a bafoon..

I find his voice and accent to be much more interesting than most of the bland morons around me.

  • What i mean is that he doesnt have the best explanations you know , i don't mind his accent and shit , The way he speaks makes me fall asleep. And yes , CHESS PUZZLES CAN BE ENTERTAINING AS I CHECKED ALOT OF THEM AND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I DIDNT ENJOY SO FAR. Mainly because of HIM~

  • i do agree CHESS PUZZLES CAN BE ENTERTAINING But this one doesn't.

  • Yes, that was my point.

  • as a choooomewurk u can tell me on what coordinates the king also can be mated in 3, and where in 4,22, and 112.

  • do you have asthma?? hehe

  • lOL

  • COOL

  • This is too easy for you guys. Try setting this one up it's quite interesting.

    White Pieces: Qb5, Ba5, Ke4

    Black Pieces: Kc8

Mate in 3 moves, good luck!

    Hint: It's not a king move! :)

  • The only mate in 3 I can see is 1.Qe8,Kb7 2.Qd8,Ka6 3.Qb6#. The black king moves are unrealistic, but its the only mate I can see. If there is a more realistic solution let me know

  • That's also all I see, and since black king has a better move than 2. ...a6, it can't be considered a solution. Are we missing something?

  • I'm trying to answer to dan112358 about the problem proposed by pevarck but my youtube seems to be with some problem and I my comment is always on the top. Sorry for the mess here, Vorojtsov.

  • And pevarck, are you sure there is an answer for mate in 3 for the problem you proposed? I inserted this data on a computer software, and the fastest mate it can see is in 4 moves, which I saw before while I was trying. Please let me know.

  • 1.Qb2 Kd7

    2.Qe5 Kc8

    3.Qc7# 1-0

  • Yes

    1.Qb2 Kd7

    2.Qe5 Kc8

    3.Qc7# 1-0

  • i understand the puzzle and it is quiet simple, but what i don't get is why didn't he move the black to h5 at first then theres no way you can mate it in three moves. cause after h5 then g6, then so on

  • i was also thinking you can ask the same question with the starting pieces randomized for white (as in fischer random chess). But generally, I think the fact that you can always open a diagonal for the queen and move a pawn in front of a rook and bring the rook to any rank you want in 3 moves means that the upper bound dosen't differ much from the normal starting position in such a case.

  • It is certainly interesting to ask, as you did, for the minimum number of moves to checkmate for each of the 40 possible starting positions (ranks 4-8, any column)of the black king. If the king already begins on say, the 8th rank, i would think the best strategy might be to play e4, Qh5, and then a4 or h4 to bring out the rook. At least that certainly gives an upper bound on the minimum number of moves to checkmate, for some positions.

  • Stfu. First of all that wasnt suppose to be a really hard puzzle, just a normal puzzle presented to be solved (dont think youre smart just because you solved it, if you actually did it and did not spend your precious time playing Xbox). Secondly it doesnt really matter if someone is ever going to be in that position, its just a puzzle. And third this dumb ass youre talking about is much smarter than you are, you stupid arrogant. I guess that hurts you, doesnt it?

  • you better be trolling

  • the king gets to move too. h4 to g5. oops

  • in the case that pawn moves to d4 and king moves to h5 then you move queen to d3 and king moves to h4, you could also move queen to f5 and checkmate him that way (or the way he explains it). Either way will work.

  • zis square, lol

this guy talks funny but hes awesome, very good videos

  • lol...crazy man

  • oo nvm i guess that video

  • You should watch the video before posting a comment. 1. d4 Kh5 2. Qd3 Kg4/Kh4 3. Qh3X/g3X

  • No, watch the video. You're an idiot.

  • Ouch. Humiliation ftw.

  • if the black king moved 1st, u will be right but in d vid, d queen moved 2 d3 1st.

  • He's actually russian and not german... The russian accent is close to a german accent true, but you can still understand it.

    LOUDER: Turn up volume.

CLEARER: You'll get used to it if you listen to him for a while.

    LESS GERMAN: Invalid argument.

  • Checkmate.

  • I would never move the king into a corner where he cant escape either left or right because you have very little space ;)

  • that position of piece will not happen but the important is the concept how to tortured the king........

  • Absolutely love the accent, interesting puzzle there. Seriously though, if there is anyone out there that couldnt win from whites position, they should probably be shot.

  • cheer up man

  • Seems some background would help a few people here. This is the final position of another puzzle by Sam Loyd. He asked in how few moves could the above position be legally reached? The answer may surprise you! As a corollary he then added the stipulation that white is to play and mate in 3 from the final position. Agreed, showing it as a puzzle in its own right is pretty pointless - it is neither difficult, nor particularly interesting.

  • if you playing white and u get in that position i think irs fair to say uve won

  • haha i said the same thing...when is that ever gonna havppen??

  • all black pieces commit suicide because they hate their king

  • This is a chess puzzle. :P

  • oh wait...he showed that, I should of watched the entire of video instead of fast fowarding to the end....apparently I have foot in mouth disease.....let the sarcastic posting begin ;(

  • But what if 1 ... King h5 ?

  • Doesn't work pepsi, as Vorojtsov said, the king can choose h5, then it can make a run for it on the second move

  • thats never goin 2 happen but still pretty kool

  • it's not regular chess. There was a puzzle made created from chess to see if people could figure it out. It's simply a puzzle to test your mind, and not actually meant to happen in a game.

    *cough* idiot

  • bobby fischer died about a month ago

  • it so damn!

  • i love it how u ask what is a inposable demonstration i have been laughing for few minutes.

  • how did the black king get there in the first place? or was this a inposable demstration???

  • it's a chess puzzle

  • i can tell u.whites b1 and g1 nights are (mister sweeney todd) ...they go out side and kill all blacks pieces ang return back to there original squares and after that this happens ...lol

  • And LOL to u too btw. Im only messin around so how about u and ur knights go and take some chill pills ;)

  • I do! :D

  • I think you'd have trouble figuring out your name in 5 seconds. Funny comment though.

  • nice one

  • hahahahah u r very funny,i put it into my chess engine and it found solution very quickly hahaha

  • why did u put in chess engine? rofl. it's to easy to waste ur time with that
