  • This was the film the BBC showed on the Old Grey Whistle Test at the end of 1970s and for many this was the first glimpse of Springsteen in the UK. Although I thought it was in 1978. Classic.

  • @keithmartinames I remember seeing it at the time. I think it was said that it was the only live clip available at that time. I knew his music but, yes, this was the first 'glimpse' of the live show. I couldn't be certain of the exact date. It was definitely sometime during the 1978-79 school year so you could be right.

  • are you sure this is the old grey whistle test?  The stage is way to big and this doens't look like its in a tv studio

  • this wasnt in there studio it was for a special edition and this was recorded from a concert
