This was the film the BBC showed on the Old Grey Whistle Test at the end of 1970s and for many this was the first glimpse of Springsteen in the UK. Although I thought it was in 1978. Classic.

@keithmartinames I remember seeing it at the time. I think it was said that it was the only live clip available at that time. I knew his music but, yes, this was the first 'glimpse' of the live show. I couldn't be certain of the exact date. It was definitely sometime during the 1978-79 school year so you could be right.

Springsteen generally gets on my nerves these days but he always had a reputation of being a great live performer, and this is amazing!
