  • WHAT ? i won't vote for you it's enought for me to sub to your channel

  • Instead of not voting, how about a write-in vote? Don't the voting booths in Minnesota have them? That way, you know your vote is going to whom you really wanted.

  • Karen,.. i love ya but i gotta disagree with you on one thing. Whether or not I exercise my right to vote has no effect whatsoever on my right to freedom of speech. I didn't vote and I complain all the damn time!!! If you or anybody else doesn't like that,.. well,.. i suppose they could complain too,.. seeing as it is their right... :P

  • I jus turned 18 last year and I don't plan on voting anytime soon because with the way politicians cut back on their promises and do whatever they want it's like do I even know what I'm voting for? I had hope for Obama to but the same old bush policy's and agendas are being pushed in his term as well.

  • here in germany or especially in gotha (dont know what those guys do in other lil towns) we dont get a shit for voting. not even a sticker =P

thats one reason i dont go voting, another is this incredible f...ed up political system with bad leaders etc

i d like to come to your town voting just for cookies! hell i love COOKIES!

  • I am voting just not to let the other guy win.

  • Why vote? I think the 2010 mid terms were the key to the almost government shut down that just happens. That's what happens when only senior citizens vote- they pick Republicans who have no remorse going back on campaign promises and cut medicare.

  • voting pointless? R u all nutz? This country has plenty of oil, and liberals and idiot green people won't let us drill, can we say $5 a gallon for gas......You vote for the lesser of 2 evils, and these days it's rarely democrats. Too many people want to be taken care of by the government. I vote against socialism, even more wasted dollars than conservatives, taxation without representation, my gawd, they want to tax farmers for cows passing gas........

  • @EricVonZipper2 Congrats on regurgitating the talking points your handlers spoonfed you. You would think you would have had one fact in your rant, but yet you went 0fer

  • Comment removed

  • Weed did u do the first word I said

  • I agree, voting is becoming more pointless. When 99.9% of all politicians are greedy liars, it's like "Why even vote."?

  • no i didnt. but considering im 12 and i live in canada thats not that bad.

  • My personal opinion!. People, please exercise your right to STFU!!..

I love voting to see the hotties there.. Ever since I started my last corporate job it opened my eyes on real life.. If your own boss doesn't give a shit about their employees and believe on the saying "Everyone is replaceable!" and change you or any of your co-workers for little BS, then what can I expect from people with higher power??.. The same! (they don't give a quarter of shit about us!)..

  • Sadly my rents voted for me cuz I honestly dnt care who gets picked we all seem to get dicked by them anyways.

  • Comment removed

  • military? no wonder ur fucked up! .....does it? no........ but ur peers mass do!

  • What branch did you serve and for how long?

  • If you don't vote I think the person who's the stupidest will win and you can't say, that you've done everything you're able to and I think voting is the best right you have in a democracy. Many other people would be happy if they would have voice. For example in China. I think not voting is dumber than doing it and vote for the person who is tolerable for you.

  • @kwilson52180 I agree, I think that we should vote for the person that best fits our interests, and if none of them fit, then your vote isn't really worth anything. GO KAREN!

  • i listened to most of that video and i'm not sure what you said other than, look at me talk in circles about practically nothing

  • Karen for president!!!!!

  • Fit. Boobs are distracting.

  • Ur 33??? WTF!!!! I'm 13 lol soo i cant vote but i totally agree with you on y u didnt vote :] when are you gonna make your next video??

  • I Can't Believe Your 33! You Look A Lot Younger. Do You Have A Beau?

  • you want my cock. you want to serve a tour of duty on my balls of pleasure.

  • Whats wrong? are you ok with the way that everything is going? NO? Then you are a waste. your rights and responsibilities that you are surrendering are going to be gone and you didnt do anything about it.

Your responsilbillites do not end at the voting booth. If you were walking down the street and bumped into your elected officails from city, county, state, country.. would you recoginze them?

  • @kwilson52180 I'm a teenager, and I vote! :P Although I'm from Australia but the voting age is 18 in America too right?

  • Over $4 billion was spent on midterm election adds, How much do those jobs pay again? The special interest that has pockets that deep has a reason to buy an inside man (or woman) .

  • Your my free pass!!!!! Hit me up when your ready!!!! LOL

  • Voting is a waste of time. The illusion of choice to soothe millions of frustrated souls. The problem is that we are supposed to vote based on nothing tangible. A politician says they believe in this or that, we identify with this or that, and vote accordingly. So we vote for an idea, or we vote historically, or tribally. But where does that idea go once elected? They've got us chasing fantasies it seems to me.

  • Hi Karen.

I just wanted say I totally feel the same way you do. The political system of this country has become a sad and complete abomination of what this country should stand and strive for. Too many people with their own personal agenda instead of doing what's best for our country and the global community.

On a different, positive note however, your work here on Youtube is brilliant! You make me laugh and you have a new fan!

    Thanks

    Brad

  • you served in the military???

  • she totally does look younger than 33, sounds younger too

  • 33 Woahh!!! I thought you were like 20? I think? :s

  • Hey Karen. I'm 40 now, and a very independent voter as well. I'm no demorat, no repukeican, I'm independent. I vote for whoever I think will do the best job, and that's been repubs, dems, indy's, whatever. It's hard to have much passion for it anymore, as the money involved in getting elected is so much that almost all politcians are locked into special interests, no matter the party they belong too. So they don't represent us, they represent those big time spenders who helped get them elected.

  • rich=greedy

  • im 18 and I didn't vote yay!!!!

  • I agree; and you made a great point. They do spend all their money tearing the opponent down instead of putting it to good use.

  • what part of the military were you in?

  • bullshit, there is no way you're 33. & i didn't vote. oh & what branch of the military were you in?

  • bullshit, there is no way you're 33. & i didn't vote.

  • I couldn't agree with you more!

  • omg yr 33! u look like 22!!

  • I didn't vote either for similar reasons. It's ridiculous and it looks like it's the same all over the country. If you ran for a political office you would definitely have my vote. But it's a dirty business. Today I watched Zeitgeist Addendum on youtube and that's the type of thinking that should be running the country.

  • Holy crap, I thought you were like 23...!!

  • i agree completely. The smear campaigns were crazy this year. Instead of seeing the marketing world peddle their products i was accustomed to, i now was flooded with initiatives and candidates trying to one up the other. It got so bad they started calling the house using automated messages. It probably has something to do with the bama man trying to win back the senate from the backyards of america. Politics suck, and its all fixed anyway.

  • sexy and apathetic . . . how sad

  • in washington, the seattle area, ya , the smeeeeer ads were prety bad on our end too, but i voted anyways, but i'm loosing my heart for it too, for almost the same reason as yours, dont feal bad, your not alone

  • You're 33? Damn gurl! You look like you're 23! Great job!

  • @Ness118 My thoughts exactly.

  • tl;dw

  • I was silent about it but I didn't vote either for the same reasons that you didn't vote. It gets tiresome and then even when you do do a bit of research on the candidates, all you find is a mountain of more bad than what you saw in the commercials and, mind you, half of the time, you don't even know if it's the truth because those childish ads are basically old men acting like kids to tell you what they want you to think about the opposition and it's just detracting. *sigh*

  • I see what your saying and I completely agree. They all suck. But the fact is ONE OF THEM is going to win no matter what you do. For the past decade+ for me, voting has mostly been about choosing the lesser of the two evils.

So even if you hate who's running you still need to vote. You need to vote the lesser idiot in. Otherwise you might allow the bigger idiot to get in.

  • If you don't vote you can't really complain either.

You either have to vote or do your own political work, to become a politician or make/support a political party. Or look for political alternatives.

If you don't vote, the ones who do get more power, which means less democracy. After all you're suppose to run your country, who else?

  • Totally agree, the ads here in Philly were terrible. I refuse to vote for anyone who just bashes the other guy. It's like they're trying to be Apple or something.

Oh and hey we're the same age. :)

  • Thanks for sharing these thoughts with your viewers. The more people wake up and reject the things you mention, the sooner we'll get some real "change". I still went and voted, but feel the same as you speak of (in addition to numerous other issues.)

The fact you did this video and shared these thoughts did far more than some symbolic participatory act of voting. You are anything but a "bad citizen".

For the record, none of my votes had a (D) or and (R) next to them. :)

  • I agree 100% with you!!! The smear campaigns are getting really out of hand...

  • i vote that you show us your big honkers

  • Thank you for serving for our country! Happy Veterans Day ♥

  • you're 33,

    damn gurl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    you must moisturize,

    Who be your dermatologist?

  • Happy Birthday to all my Marine Corps brothers and sisters!!!

  • I voted ... with my feet.

I moved to the Free State of New Hampshire.

Yes, I am serious, and yes, I am crazy. Hmmm... right up your alley.... you should check it out, Karen! :)

    freestateproject(dot)org

  • Thumbs up if you quickly click the X on the advert pop up just incase you miss a boob shot.

  • I didn't vote this year and feel the same as you do...

  • Since Veterans Day is approaching, thank you for your service from a MSgt, USAF, Retired, 1 each.

  • Same situation about money wasting in vote campayin was previsly month in mi homeland - Česká republika (Czech republic)

  • what did you do in the military??

  • I definitely feel the same way. I voted but abstained from voting for many positions because I was so dissapointed and underwhelmed with the men and/or women running. However, there was a silver lining to turning in my ballot because my mother ran for a county position, county/district clerk, and won. She is amazing and is going to do an amazing job but that was the only vote that I cast that I felt 100% about. Boo to smear campaigns.

  • I feel the same way... and i cant stand those childish commercials either... im soo happy were done with those for now! YOUR 33? FTW!? lol Girrrrl you look 10 years younger!! SERIOUSLY :]]

  • Voting in this election was like choosing between shit and vomit: they both stank no matter how much people tried to polish them.

  • Comment removed

  • I did go and vote but, I really didn't want to! I live in Nevada so, I am sure you had heard some of the smearing going on in that Senate race! The choices were a crooked lifer who is the leader of the democratic party or Some crazy lady that didn't speak as if she really knew her ass from a hat! Soo many people bagging on Dems this election I feared this dingbat of a canidate would actually win so, I vote for Harry the democrat to keep the tard out of the senate! I feel ya!

  • I don't blame you I've felt and done the same in the past. Most people we get to vote for suck but we the people are expect to pick the best sleeze ball out of the bunch.

  • wait! hold on a sec!!you guys got cookies and stickers???? RAGE!!!

  • I don't vote because there is never one candidate that I agree with everything he/she says... bit like religion really, I don't agree with everything they teach so I don't go to church!

  • I have to admit, the only reason I watch your video's is b/c I love your b00bies.

  • @MrPint32 Vote if you love her b00bies!

  • I wanted to post something like "Wuut 33?! No way", but I see lots of ppl already did. But still, 33?! No way :O

  • And all of that.

  • By not voting, you are enabling the politicians who are influenced by special interest groups. These groups will vote because certain candidates will sell their votes. Next time, do your homework on your area ballot by checking on the web and cast an intelligent vote. You might want to run for office yourself. You could be the first to have a YouTube campaign!

  • I felt the same way, and the only reason I did vote is because I wanted to vote against the rep candidate because he has a SUPER duper shady past. Sadly it didn't matter there are too many dim witted people here in FL and voted the guy in anyways. I seriously have a problem with having someone in office you led a company that stole A L O T of money. *sigh*

  • 33 holy shit!!! unsubscribe! just kidding your boobs still rock,

  • If you can't run a clean campaign. Then you don't need to run for office at all.

  • 33? BULLSHIT!!

  • wow you're 33?! I thought you were like 25. good job.

  • 33!!!??:O I wish i look that good at 33 :)

  • I totally get that.

  • I agree...I don't want to vote for someone based on how much they trashed the other guy in their ads. I don't want to hear how much the other guy sucks, I want to hear what the person's qualities are. I didn't vote either. The ads on the radio and tv turned me off, and made my already dwindling interest in politics pretty much dry up and blow away. I feel like I may be a bad citizen for not voting, but I'd rather do that than just pick some dude at random because I don't like any of them.

  • i don't really think that sways the vote... i also was once excited about votin', not anymore... and i think i have the right to just stand and say, look, you don't deserve my vote, so i'm not giving it to you... i mean if they and their hundreds of advisers are that stupid to make ad campaigns making them look like total retards, why does any of them deserve anybody's vote... they really don't... and until they apologize to the public, i think everybody should do the same... i'm with you karen!

  • Karen, you've fallen for the point of negative ads. Yes, negative ads are to trash one party, BUT they are also meant to turn off the electorate as a whole and surpress the vote. If you didn't vote, you allow a small but motivated group of voters (think Tea-Baggers here) to sway the vote. You didn't decide based on what you knew, but made a choice base on ignorance. Kinda disappointing, dear. But I still love you all the same.

  • I wish you would marry me.

  • you're not 33!!! WTF? i thought you were 24! MILF =D

  • People in Minnesota should have written in Karen Alloy

  • Maybe you hould have spoiled your ballot paper in protest. we do that in the u.k.

  • i feel that when we have to vote in denmark, they have a tendancy to forget all about the younger generation. They arent very good at coming through to us and informing us what its all really about. So... you dont know who to vote for, and when u do chose someone, i feel that i am not 100 % sure if i really know what this person stands for. YOu understand what i mean?

  • i voted. but i only really wanted to vote for one person, the governor. i saw food at my polling place, but no one offered me anything lol. and i didn't even get a sticker that said i voted like i do when i early vote :(

  • Shes right

  • agreed agreed agreed!

  • wow you look great for 33 :) girl i thought you was in ur 20's like me lol. but yea i agree with you on the voting status. It's full of sh*t, and they all lie once they get in, I voted though because It was the right thing to do as a citizen and all that jazz.... Basically, my vote went to the poor and middle class people. But we shall see that happens in the near future (rollseyes). good vid.

p.s. I did not recieve a cookie or coffee, Im pissed!

  • In Australia you are fined if you do not vote in Federal elections.

  • milf

  • So it's true I do find older women very attractive!!!

  • I remember you were all for Obama 2 years ago. My guess is that Obama has disappointed you as a President. You expected too much from him. Also, you voted for him bc he was black abd you thought he would never l lie. You realized that Obama was no better than Bush.. Just admit it..

  • @lolitathebitch You have got to be kidding me. Bush was fuck retarded. Obama have had no chance cuz the former government has fucked shit up for ya.

  • @Omgpiepie I agree. Except that Obama knew that the huge promises he was making were impossible to honor and the American people didn't realize that. But the rest of the world did. Shame on YOU!!! Nevertheless, Karen's excuses not to go out and vote, are bad. You don't vote for the person the you "identify with", bc that is very rare. The vote for the person who is less of an idiot. And, that is the ugly truth whether you like it or not.

  • PROPS!!

What did you do in the army?

  • Thank you for your service

  • lol you dont look 33. n you dont look like the type of person that would be in the army with your attitude if u know wat i mean. ur so happy all the time and u look so sweet.

  • you needn't to vote definitely

  • I agree across the river here in Wisconsin it was the same way and I work for the campus news paper down in whitewater and I was able to meet with some of the candidates and I was thoroughly unimpressed with what they had to say about eachother

  • I agree with you. The only thing you ever hear from the candidate is why the other guy is bad, but you never hear the candidate telling us why he's right for the job. When it's finally time to vote, you only know all the reasons that neither of them are right for the job lol. I tell you what, if I saw an ad from someone saying what they plan to do if they win, I might actually pay attention. I may not believe them, but I'll listen for once.

  • WoW, this is the kind of girl that when you marry her and go out in public other men look and say "i hope thats his daughter". I would never have guessed 33 i thought 22. Beautiful people don't know how lucky they are.

  • ONLY reason that there are 'Attack Ads' is because they work, Obabma has proven categorically that being 'nice' leads to disaster and spindlessness. Rush Limpaugh started the whole mean spirited debate years ago & it ain't goin' away any time soon!

  • I AGREE! I hate how they bully each-other in their campaign adds, it really does make them look bad. AND I totally agree i think all their campaign "dollars" could help a lot more people than themselves. Ugh their are some sleazy ones.

  • you were in the military? Sheesh those poor guys must have been in love lol. Also never would have guessed you were 33. Love your vids, from a former Marine.

  • I voted for the first time! I picked the guy who supported the one issue that was most important to me... and then I just voted fully Dem. Lol.

  • @ tgmarla.........yes! Exactly! I wish it could be that way.

  • you definitely have great values, and definitely the real example of a true american, in my opinion. You don't take a side, so you dont have a bias and your mind is not chained to a party, but rather you actually have enough intuition to look at what each party has to say and make your mind up! great video, I'm not even an american citizen

  • hi

can be a great country but stupid system of voting.

and the best time for this country is behind .

    sorry...

  • you where in the military?

  • there were a lot of smear campaign here in California too

  • Karen, you are a young 33 - you really don't look that old, honest

I can identify a lot with what you say but I can't comment as I'm not in the US and have never really understood your system of voting.

Cookies and coffee, in the UK ? you gotta be kidding honey, the local authorities would be too mean to supply them !!

  • one of the "main" 2 candidates. Oh well, I made a decision based on my thoughts, not based on a political "team." I do lose hope though because I know that several people do just vote for a name that sounds familiar, a person who looks cool, etc. And yes, the smear campaigns make me feel like skipping the whole thing.

Nope, no cookies, coffee, etc...just a sticker.

  • I understand where you are coming from. I did go vote this year and something I make sure that I do if I vote is to research each candidate in detail. I am kind of glad that I don't watch TV, because that would definitely make me feel apathetic about using my "voice." (Don't get me started on the Electoral College situation.) There was one position in which ALL four representatives disgusted me. I just didn't vote for that office. One person told me I wasted a vote because it wasn't for (cont.)

  • You want to know why I voted? Joe Barton...that's right....the US Representative who had the stones to apologize to BP for Obama making them poney up the $20 billion to pay the victims of the oil spill. I didn't want him to be the chairman of the House Energy Commitee. Unfortunately since a lot of people followed your lead Mr. Barton now stands to be the guy giving the reach-around to.....er...I mean looking over BP's shoulder. We have a bleak country now.

  • @goodwilltx glad you can make up profiles just to talk about people. Stop hiding and post comments under your real profile ASS! Now you get off the FUCK off the internet, I just saying LOL

  • I wish voting wasn't compulsory in Australia

  • I completely agree with you.

  • No. Never.

  • I'm not old enough to vote but when i'm 18 I will, just had the municipal elections in good ol Alberta lol

  • I completely agree with you on this...all of it, really.

I mean, all of the videos that I watched were just trying to trash what the other person believes in. I learned more about what a candidate stood for in their opponites video than in their own!

And, you know, it's nopt like that were saying anything bad most of the time. Like, they never when, "[Name] Thinks People should Kill Their Children!"

They just stated the other persons beliefs in a tone that made it sound like a bad thing...grr

  • dirty politicians

  • we should have the choice "none of the above"... and it IT wins the douche-bags who *were* running are banned from running again!

  • lol my computer froze at 3:51 and she was just as concerned as i was lol

  • Please watch Kandee Johnson's newest video!!! It could help save a young woman's life.

  • I think you did the right thing not to vote. If you feel like none of the parties can represent you, they shouldn't. In this case, Sweden is a much better place. Even though they spend lots of money putting their ads everywhere, we actually get the information they want to give us. What they want to do, what they represent and what their goals are. I hate the politics here in Sweden, but at least the system is great.

  • It is the same way in Pennsylvania. I can't stand these adds and I hardly even know the things that people stand for because all of their adds were how the other is so evil.

  • did you ever kill anyone?

  • Whoa, I always thought you were 40+. Also, have you gained weight?

  • Every year I help out with a campaign. And what I found out in Hawaii is the idiot who uses smear advertising to degrade the other candidate, usually LOSES. If you're not excited about it... screw it. There is always the next election season.

  • I voted cuz Prop 19 (Marijuana Legalization) was on the Ballot and I wanted it to win. It didn't, now I gotta get a "Prescription" :P

  • 33? wow. you look A LOT younger.

  • Sweet mother of Jesus, you're 33?! You don't look a day over 25 :)

  • @straussen Yeah, her and Gerard Way are both 33 and are FUCKING HOT!! AAAH!! im like 16 and my generation is all about age and how they have to be super young to be hot *cough* thanx beiber *cough* i hate you *cough*.

But i would TOTALLY fuck those too till they cant walk for the rest of there sexy lives!!!

  • finally someone whos speaks sense when it comes to politics. I completely agree with you, most of the people I know just go with one side (Republican or Democrat) and bash the other side thinking it makes their side better. It makes me dislike both.

  • You and I didn't vote for the same reasons. Too bad campaigns have turned into bashing instead of getting to what you stand for.

  • politics suck! It's almost to the point where people just dont trust the system. The older you are the less faith you have in the government.

  • The most important elections are the LOCAL elections. That is where future politicians are made or broken. Always vote because those elections matter, especially if you get behind a candidate and help him.

  • I hate the new format. You can't even tell who has responded with a video...

  • i voted but i wrote myself in 4 X.i think karen is so spot on.i voted mostly green and lib party.it's called spoiler vote but this might help broom the 2 turd parties.this is the new age and we need to broom the people who think more about their career than the citizens who put them in place.

  • You could have done write-in, or vote independent or something :\

  • i agree the ads where getting extremely annoying. but in Nevada Angle was seriously wrong with everything she said she stood for. im just glad that she isnt in office. there was one commerical that over used the would "extreme agenda, do u want this extremist as your Senate" i always changed the channel i just got so annoyed, but i still voted for Harry Reid,

  • As luck will have it i´m not eligible to vote in the u.s., besides we already have plenty of asshole politicians over here in the DK that i wouldn´t care to even piss on if they were on fire (they will hopefully burn in hell later), so why should i even care about voting on some dumbass greedy u.s. politician if i had the chance? -The swarm of flies surrounding them would be a obvious clue as to why not, i think!!!

  • karen wasn't in the military. :P

  • fap fap fap

  • i did not go vote. the last time i did was the last presidential election and i wrote in ron paul. did not even get interested in it this year, but i'm glad that its over so all the stupid ads will be gone.

  • Karen, I voted for you to be my next wife... see, not every vote counts

    :-(

  • The same thing happened in Iowa. Worst campaigns I have ever seen.

  • JEEEPERS 33!? You look brilliant! I thought you were about 22. Good on you! Love your videos.

  • @rebbylondon you know I thought the same thing...! 33? I re-winded it like 10 times. For some reason I thought she was 29?!

  • @rebbylondon 33 isn't old. She looks her age.

  • Well, apathy among the independants (like you, Karen) and disillusionment among the democrats.....coupled with a fired up republican/tea party caused the huge shift in the house and senate on Tuesday.

    I'm a conservative and I hope low democrat/independant turn-out happens again in 2012 !

  • @dovermoreno if you're conservative then you're also corrupt.it isn't enough to make money, you have to do it by hurting people.how much does an employer pay/hr.the difference=my pocket or your pocket.just back to being people!

  • you are PREGNANNT
