Derrick is a true point guard. Why do people keep saying he needs a 3 point shot. Mid range i agree but not three pointer. His job is to get into the lane to open up shots for the shooting or two guard. A good 15 to 20ft is all he needs to be dominate.

the one thing rose need to work on in summer is 3 point shots. I excpet him to shoot near 40 % next season. being able to shoot 3 points at high percentage will help him to average at least 25 next year.

I didnt say his midrange, his outside shots meaning 3 point shots. his decisions in the midrange is still improving. true, he can blow by anybody but there are certain situations where he forces bad shots. having an outside shot will make his life easier.

easily shows what d rose can do if he asserts himself mentally and drives in without fear. instead of being passive with the ball and taking dumb jumpers far out of his range, he drove it in and used his speed to his advantage. itsa simple, rose needs to handle the rock at all times and be the MAN in the 4th. vinny are you listening?

Derrick's mid-range game is already deadly. He doesn't have a 3-pt shot but he's already one of the better mid-range shooting PGs, and will be among the best next year.

i mean not take stupid, long range jumpers. d rose is a mid range jump shooter, those are the j's he should take. i understand he needs to learn to be a good jump shooter but he needs to be a smart jump shooter. he is only a rookie so I believe he can develop a deron williams type jumper as his career goes on.

his man to man defense is something that he needs to work on as well but I believe with the proper coaching and work ethic, it will improve with his long range j
