These jackasses are so dumb - they make typos and misspellings and do not even correct or watch what they are typing. Watch out for the suspicious layout and misspellings. PS: Some programs have typos, but not misspellings, e.g. K7, but are still legitimate.

There are 189 proven aliases for this. Microsoft Security Essentials classified it as a Trojan, I believe. But the one surefire way to remove it is System Restore. Put it as a shortcut on your PC, reboot and use it before the rogue has time to notice and stop you. then set it a day before you got the virus, if you remember. :P

this virus made me think... why does antivirs exist or virus at all?

ppl first make a virus then anti virus. then set virus out that says it steals ur stuff while all it does is to block ur pc :(

then you buy the anit virus and the people make mony.

do not blame all websites, blame the anti virus guys. they make mony on antivirus and therefore they need to make viruses

I got this on my one computer, and it wouldn't let me do anything. Strangely, though, It only affected my account, so I just went on another to remove it with MBAM

that shit wrecked my os. i had to reinstall win xp just 3 days ago. if you didnt have system restore enabled when you picked up this virus, you may be able to save your windows install. i wasnt so lucky

A recent version of trojan fakerean installs a rogue with a random name. In Windows XP, it uses the following names: XP Smart Security, XP Smart Security 2010, XP Antimalware 2010, XP Antimalware, XP Security Tool 2010, XP Internet Security, XP Defender Pro, XP Security, Antivirus XP.
