  • Whats the audio cable for? wtf

  • I'm getting this motherboard for my PC when I do a build

  • can you use a AM3 in a AM3+ motherboard?

  • @MrDanthevan yes

  • @MrDanthevan please watch and listen, and yes he said so at the end of the video. am3 works.

  • will this fit on a rosewill challenger black gaming ATX case

  • @ComVoiDua to bad there is no micro center but i already buy the mb and fx8120 which ar so fucking sweet encoding is so much faster also conversion of videos

  • i can hardly wait 2 buy this and my FX-8120

but newegg sucks right now they dont have the FX-8120 and also they should put motherboard combo no ram simply suck they should do a combo with this board so im buying the board from them but they gonna loose my money on the cpu 2 tigerdirect

  • @addielm

Micro Center if there is one in your area.

  • I just got this board about a week or so ago, very slick I was able to hit 4GHz on my 955BE no issues at all and set my ram to 1600MHz as well with very little effort. This boards definitely worth getting if your on a budget but don't want to skimp on some of the hardware :P

  • dose this motherboard support just am3 aswell not just am3+

    i need an answer ergently

  • @MrZugzug1234 it does

  • @MrZugzug1234 both.

  • @MrZugzug1234

Yes it does. The AM3+ designed to be backward compatible.

  • does anyone know if crossfire bridges are long enough to reach across the three space gap?

  • It seems that ASRock is the only 990FX-chipset motherboards manufacturer, who uses Broadcom LAN chip. All other makers (asus, gigabyte, msi) use Realtek.

It's ok if you use Windows. But i heard GNU/Linux operating system users had some problems with Realtek (maybe solved already though).

    ASRock Rocks! :-)

  • bella veramente

  • i'm afraid that the large heatpipe over the VRMs will interfere with my Noctua D14 :/

  • So is Bulldozer delayed until October or not? I'm confused

  • does this board support 3tb hard drives

  • The blue on it Looks nice but wish it was black & blue...

  • Box in a box in a box, so you can box your box while you box.

  • I'm upgrading my computer to SLI 560 ti's, but need a motherboard that supports them along side my phenom x4 955 black edition. Would this motherboard support this? Or should I be looking at something else?

  • @RayKillzya This would work perfectly, and offers an upgrade path to the bulldozer chips coming out next week, ($185 for an 8-core just saying) ASRock hasn't had the best history in terms of quality, but they're gotten much, much better over the last year or two. Really there is no inherently bad AMD motherboard manufacturer now.

  • @RayKillzya All the 900 series chipsets support SLI/CrossFireX so no worries there. :P I'm even thinking about getting this to replace a slightly malfunctioning MSI board *790XT G45* which I hope is soon cause not being able to play my AVI's from fraps cause the NBs going out is outright annoying when I need to edit them. >.>

  • mmmmmm...brown pcb!!!! perfect color for my shit themed pc build :(

  • 0:45

i thought he was going to say "I can only assume it will include another box"

    i was going to LMAO

  • Brown is a horrible color for any mother board.

  • @leo874life In this price range Gigabyte is the only vendor that doesn't use a brown PCB.

  • Got mine today hehe now where is my BD cpu -.-

Oh wait delays but at least got this board and a new 1kw gold rated psu.

  • BOXCEPT... someone beat me -_-.

  • AMD bulldozer delays launch in October.

  • @Caseyds620

AMD Delays FX Series launch to October.

  • yayasuck it

  • I was just comparing this motherbard with your ASUS M4A89GTD AMD and I noticed that the M4A89GTD has a built in ATI Radeon HD 4290 video chipset when this one does not have a built in video chipset. Now I'm just going to assume that this motherboard has a slot for a video chipset, but what I would like to know is what video chipset would be a perfect match for this motherboard? Or am I simply missing something?

  • @sheekm227 depending on your budget, you can just buy a simple graphics card with this motherboard.Graphics cards that have "ATI Radeon HD 4000,5000,or 6000 series"is just fine, depending on your budget. That's the flaws about these hardcore motherboards, they don't have onboard graphics.

  • @thetrollbasher

I agree, good news is that I do have the budget for it. Bad news is that I'm not about to spend an extra 2 to 300 dollars for this ad another grahics card. Either way they'll get my money.

  • Hey can this Motherboard Support AM3?

  • @MultiTecHelp Yes,all AM3+ motherboards support AM3 CPUs.You still have to check witch series cpu the motherboard supports though.

  • You have the most amazingly calming voice...

  • Hey Paul, what is the default ram voltage in the bios?

  • the spacing of the front panel inputs disturbs me

  • only 3 boxes?that's disappointing...

  • That's alot of boxes

  • All mobo's should have an external CMOS clear button.

  • @faztclix I dunno. It can make it more unstable if done wrong and if I'm doing any debugging whatsoever, I'll have my case open anyways. :P

  • @airsofteer if you have your case open debugging , which refers to software, why on earth would you want to have your case open. ....oh wait i get it you mean your computer is unstable and your trouble shooting your mistakes in the bios and you have your case open because you think that all those wrong choices with the DIMM slots youve created a heat box.

your right actually but you should put your face in the box and just hope it explodes. or LEARN how to make a computer work properly

  • @Osiliusify Debugging can refer to hardware, besides, clearing the CMOS is not something you do often (or should have to, anyways) so I don't understand why you would need one externally.

Besides, I do know how to make a computer work properly; as not only do I build my own systems (haven't failed yet) but it's part of my job. lol, you seem pretty mad about all of this.

  • I have the Asrock 890 motherboard and love it! my MSI 890 burned out on me after I over-clocked it and it wasn't by much and I used water cooling. Asrock bios looks sick!

  • my mobo i ordered from you guys should be at my front door in about 8hrs or so... i cant wait :D

  • does anyone know when bulldozer cpu is coming out, i keep hearing september 16 or 26 but shouldn't AMD be making more publicity like game developers when they are gonna release a game they let everyone know 1 year to 6 months ahead?

  • Can you guys do a video comparing Liguid and Air cooling? The pro's and cons of both. Please? I think a lot of people would appreciate it and I'm very curious to see what people who know what they're talking about think.

  • ugliest mobo color scheme I have ever seen.

  • dang looks like a pie or cake box...

  • Paul!!!

  • how do asrock motherboards compare to MSI motherboards?

  • @TheVincentchase They have a really good rep, usually better than MSI, especially for the money.

  • @TheVincentchase i had an ASRock board for a QX9650 it wasnt bad at all. They have similar quality and would say look at the specs and prices with the two and go with it that way. I now use Gigabyte, but i have had MSI boards as well. No complaints with any of them. Bought all from Newegg with no issues at all!

  • @SouthNJPC Thanks for replying! I've always thought that ASRock is a brand that's not reliable and isn't as good as MSI, Asus, or Gigabyte. They're quite cheaper than said brands. I don't like the dark brown PCB though. Gah, aesthetics come at a price sometimes!

  • @TheVincentchase My experience has differed- I've never had a problem of any kind w/ the 7-8 systems i've built on ASRock boards... while i've had issues with the MSI and ASUS boards (never w/ GB though). Perhaps i've had good luck, or you have had bad luck... On the aesthetics issue, I dont really care, but i guess some do...

  • @shirke01 17th or 19th september 2011

  • I would rather get a bunch of x1 PCIe slots instead of the PCI slots on all these new mobos.

  • @doktor2007 Same, especially considering PCIe x1 -> 3x PCI converter cards cost like $10 on eBay.

  • When AMD bulldozer going to be release?

  • @shirke01 maybe 2015

  • so many motherboards so little time...

  • those two sata ports on the bottom left are hilarious.

  • Am I the only one who heard oh holy Paul call that an AM2+ slot at 8:45? =O

  • B O X E P T I O N

  • @SGTSHOOTnMISS I was just about to say that :(

  • @SGTSHOOTnMISS That many boxes within boxes is too unstable!

  • Brown pcb is ew. Should be ~MATTE~ black. :D

  • paul :D

  • Oh dang.. 4 boxes.

  • hey im new to pc building but my question is will a AM3 cpu fit into the AM3+ socket on this mobo

  • @23hocke yes an am3 cpu will fit in a am3+ socket.

  • @PMWxCLANx thanks

  • Yo dawg, i heard you like boxes....

  • @PMWxCLANx

nothing wrong with having your face in a box. just as long as she shaves. =)

  • under 100 club

  • MOTHERBOARDS!!! YUMMY

  • I was actually just about to buy this mobo, but was curious about the difference between this and the Fatal1ty 990FX pro.

  • paul... where were you? :(

  • ya :D

  • ~Everyone goes apeshit over Paul~

  • second! ya more paul and motherboards

  • @parshnip1 you're not second ;)

  • second
